Been here a couple of times. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. I have no reason to go back to the big box corporate store down the street for my plumbing needs.

I had to find a sink that was a very irregular size. All the other places I contacted were very unhelpful. I called and the gentleman who answered the phone was very nice but told me to come in to make sure we got the right thing. The gentleman who helped me at the desk was kind enough to carry the sink in for me and he spent 20-30 minutes finding the right sink for me. He went above and beyond making sure I got the right thing and in the right time frame. I will go no where else for any plumbing needs ever again!

I am unable to recommend Brothers as a place to buy an appliance or any major retail item. I went there to buy a kitchen faucet. To begin with they had a very limited selection compared to one of their major Sacto competitors, Ferguson's. But far more troubling to me was the fact on their display models they refuse deliberately to post model number so that you can then compare their price with the internet price. This is not my inference it is what one of the senior brothers told me today. Never have I encountered this practice in buying any other item at any retail store. I asked the ""brother"" if he would buy a car by simply walking into a dealer and getting the sales persons advice, and he was checkmated by the question. I walked out a few mins later. Ferguson's has an excellent selection at their display store on Madison (Sacto)_ but go there with a Smartphpone as you will find their return policy is not a good one and their prices are about 25% over what you'd pay on the internet.

great customer service. i spent $12 and some change to get all the pieces i needed for my utility sink. william was very helpful and got me the exact pieces to make my project work. the guys at lowes and osh had me buying all kinds of parts to mickey mouse my project which failed miserably. the plumbing ""expert"" at lowes gave me $46 worth of misc parts to purchase. save yourself the frustration and come here if you need expert help.

I was at the store at around noon today and expressed to the man helping me how good it felt to speak to someone who sounded like he knew what he was talking about.
In addition to the $4 pieces I needed to stop my leak, he suggested a $12 assembly just to have a new one. I took both and now it's like I have a brand new faucet in my shower. Not only has the leak stopped but the operation is super smooth - the best it's been since we bought the house 13 years ago.
I bought those same $4 parts several years ago from a different plumbing supply store and, though the leak stopped, neither the customer service nor the end result was as exceptional as it was this time. Brothers now has a new customer for life!

I went to Brothers because nobody else had the parts to rebuild my faucets. I won't go anywhere else again for plumbing because of their service.
No more standing in front of displays wondering if it's the right part and buying two to make sure I have the right pieces. These guys made sure I had the right pieces, answered a couple dumb questions and had me on my way for the same price as any big box.

Summary: Great Service
I actually grew up very close to this place and have ridden the light rail train by it a million times, it's the place with the old Jeep parked behind it. I just bought my first place and needed a toilet replaced. After extensive research I settled upon the highly esteemed Toto Drake (yes there are people who rate toilets, who knew). After calling around I found that only a handful of stores offered this toilet. Prices for the exact same model were all over the place, but when I called Brother's their price was the lowest (not by much but hey every dollar counts).
When I walked into Brother's plumbing I was surprised at how big the place was, lots of selection and everything was on display (a lot of other stores either didn't have the toilet models out or they were placed on a rack or something...yes I wanted to test drive my future toilet...not literally...just sit on it you sickos). The service guy was very helpful in explaining all the features to me, explained the different types of toilets, and even the different seats (Toto sells their own special toilet seat that lowers itself pneumatically but it's twice the cost of a 'regular' seat).
The whole time the sales guy was great. Perhaps the most impressive thing is he offered me my choice of the exact same model in either the older 1.6 gallon flush, or the new 1.3 gallon flush, versions. I'm sure he could have just dumped the older stock on me and I would have never known, but his honesty was great and he even loaded the whole thing up for me into my car. Long live the small mom and pop stores.

Brothers is well-stocked and very customer friendly. I spent about 20 minutes today with Will who patiently helped me analyze and solve the problem of the bathtub that would not hold water. I was ready to buy some rubber and try to cut my own gasket to solve the problem, and we all know, cause my wife told me, that would never work.
Mind you the tub and parts came from places other than Brothers.
I brought the pop-up drain stopper that wasn't working, and like a couple of guys who had known each other for years, Will and I tried different possible gasket solutions.
I got home and installed the stopper with Will's recommended gasket, and after a half hour the good news is . . . the tub holds water for the first time in months.
The bad news, for the grandchildren visiting tomorrow, is that the tub will be working and baths can no longer be skipped at grandpa's house!
Thanks to Will and Brothers I had a very satisfying experience.
I feel a little guilty that the solution only cost me $1.50.

I was in desperate need of a Kohler rough-in valve for my new shower faucet, especially since my plumber was redoing the bathroom fixtures the next day!
Buying online was not an option - I needed it immediately
Home Depot, Lowe's, Osh - none of them had the thing. I found it very strange that they carry the faucets, but not the required valves.
Lo and behold, Brothers came to the rescue and had plenty of these valves in stock. Although their prices weren't as competitive as I found online, they were extremely efficient, fast, and knowledgeable (and that warrants the slightly higher price in my book). They actually knew what they were talking about. Didn't have to look up the item in a little inventory machine or a catalog, they knew their stuff. I also appreciated they were opened 8-5 on a Saturday.
Definitely will skip the big box stores and visit them next time - I saw a great selection of toilets (Toto!) and kitchen sinks.

Great local store - carry a lot of stock but can also order anything you need. Check their clearance area for special deals on top brands.
