Stepvan V.My heating system failed in November. I called them twice on successive days. Left messages. They never even returned my calls. Meanwhile my house is dead-cold. Pretty shabby of them to not even return a call. Even if they were booked solid they could have let me know.
Made an appointment between 8 AM and 10 AM and never showed up. Dispatch even told us that they just went to another meeting. No call backs, no courtesy. Avoid this firm.
I called when I was in a pinch and Kelly and Jeremy were responsive and worked so hard to help me out. Brothers is such a great group of plumbers. The prices are fair, they are awesome people, and the work is done well. Kudos to them.
Really, I have to say that Pat was very knowledgeable and explained every step of the process to me. Very professional, prompt, and courteous. That's where it ended.
The office manager tentatively scheduled a conversion with me from oil to gas heat; I left messages when nobody showed up, and four days later I was given a call back to explain there was a part back ordered. Fine. Don't call your customer to alert them you aren't showing up...strike 1.
After contemplating a conversion versus a full system replacement, I gave them the benefit of doubt considering the extreme cold. Got a call back from Pat the same day I relayed my intentions, given a promise of a quote in short order, and being told ""this is my cell phone; call or text if you have any questions"" I fully intended to fork over the money to get the job done. Two days later, no response. I sent Pat a text. Two more days, and not even a call to say that they are too busy. Bottom line is I have had zero responses to MULTIPLE attempts at communication. A system install should be easy, but lack of communication and disregard for customer needs is a sure indicator to me that if anything went wrong with the new system (if they actually showed up to put it in) would be met with even worse customer service .
Ample time was given, and many communications from my end, just to be left in the dark. Shame on you, your company, and reputation. No estimate was ever given, no call back, no response to emails or texts. Wow, best of luck with future business and hopefully I'm a one off.
Amy M.These guys are great. They're responsive, easy to work with, helpful, and their price is right. I had called 7(!) different companies (Some didn't even call me back) and I'm so happy that I went with Brothers. They're organized and know their stuff - I had new kitchen appliances installed so they were the perfect choice for the heating / gas / electrical work that needed to be done. I'd call them again for sure.
I used Brothers to convert my home from oil to gas heat. I had 4 other contractors come out to quote the project. Brothers did not come in with the lowest price, but when Pat came out to look at the job, it's clear he is extremely passionate about plumbing and heating and finding the exact solution to what our needs were and not upselling anything extra. His enthusiasm for his trade was what won us over.
The project included removing our oil burner and installing a new high efficiency gas furnace, installing a more efficient hot water heater, removing old steam radiators and replacing them with baseboard radiators.
I was able to take advantage of the Mass Save heat loan program and finance the project with a 0% loan - I highly recommend working with Eastern Bank out of Stoneham if you're looking to do the same; our loan was approved within a day and checks issued a day or two after.
I couldn't be more pleased with Brothers - I won't call anyone else for any future plumbing, heating or electric projects.

They came out twice, were easy to reach for questions, and discussed all of our options with us to help us for the best heating system for the most reasonable cost. Other quotes from homedepot and other local vendors were much higher and less customized to our needs. We feel so lucky to have found these guys and the ductless heating system we had hoped for!
Hit or miss whether they decide to call you back. I had them do some plumbing jobs over the last 5 years. I was happy with the work but when I really need them to repair something they never call back it's too much work and time to to wait to see if they will call back and perform the job.

Brothers offers a reasonably priced annual maintenance plan where a skilled technician cleans your system's filter along with the entire system itself. They also perform rigorous tests to ensure that things are operating properly. This happens twice a year, once in the Spring and in the Fall, to increase the lifespan of your heating and cooling system.
In addition, with the maintenance plan, you receive a discount on parts/labor should something go wrong at any time.
I feel safer knowing that they're just a phone call away and that my system will remain functional courtesy of their care.
