Recommended Customer Reviews

Fast, honest and cheap!! Only plumber in DFW that I would use. Had a pipe burst on 4th of July and was out very next morning with quick, honest and fair pricing.

Not so sure about these reviews. My insurance agent recommended Brooks Plumbing and I spoke directly with the owner, John. Incredibly professional, very efficient and phenomenal price for some real dirty work... our sewage line busted in the front yard. The techs, though young were solid and my experience beginning to end was outstanding...

Extremely rude owner, wanted to discuss his bid. He stated that's the price and hung up on me. His company did the static test after foundation work was completed. Called them to fix the sewer leak and he didn't even know they did the static test. Try to charge for tunneling under the house when it was a simple jack hammer job in the bathroom floor which is half the price. He should have know this since their company came out to locate the leak. Our house is being totally remodeled so flooring was already demoed. Easy fix. I was willing to pay the price quoted but didn't get a chance to tell him that since he hung up. Avoid this owner/company

DO NOT USE!!!
Owner is incredibly rude, plumbers are incompetent, billing overpriced, quoted one price & then tried to increase it as they work and threaten to leave if you don't agree. Extortion!

This company is outrageously priced and the Owner (John Basalone) is a crook. Even his repairman that was out at my house talked to him about the outrageous price he was charging me. Multiple calls to him to ask about his hourly rate for me to try and figure out how he was coming up with such a high price and he could not even tell me what the hourly rate was for his repair man (which means he made up an outrageous price and didnt have an hourly rate to back it up). I would suggest that you stay as far away from this company as possible. There are too many other plumbing companies than to waste your time and money on these crooks.

I have used this company many times over the years, and the repairmen are always professional and the repairs are always done correctly the first time. Many times they can schedule your repair the same day you call.

My tenant is a rental house had very poor service and was talked down to by the manager who had no idea what the problem was. She had had another plumbing out prior to the Brook's and the manager told her that she was wrong and that the other company was wrong. It turns out that the manager and the initial diagnosis by the Brooks plumbers was wrong, which delayed the completion of the job. Later, after the job was down this same manager was again rude to my tenant, demanded "a credit card" and when the tenant told them I would be responsible for the payment, the manager hung up the phone on her and shouted at her. This is very poor customer service. They must be cheaper or the adjuster for Foremost Insurance would not have chosen them to come over. The work was slow and my tenant had to stay in a hotel for a week. The work was done but Brooks will never do any work for me or any one I know.

Hired for a gas pressure test on a Monday that had to be completed before I sold my home because they said they could start the next day (other places were less expensive but couldn't be out fast). So the next day I get a call at the end of the day saying they had too much other stuff to do and they would have to do it first thing Wednesday morning. End of day Wednesday they still have not even started the job. I call them to let them know I was going to find somebody else and they informed me that they already paid for permits and I would get the bill in the mail.
Great! So instead of increasing my expenses even more I asked when they would be done. Friday. A day later than another company quoted me earlier that week. I have to close on the house on Tuesday and don't have time to find somebody else now.
Friday shows up and a plumber and helper show up. I am not at the house so they start to work first thing in the morning. It's late in the afternoon so I call to see how things went - they are still there billing me by the hour. Of course they say they are fixing leaks - but after what I found out next I really question that.
The house was on a lock box with a key combo since it was being sold, and there was only 4 people with the combo. My agent, the buyer's agent, Brooks plumbing, and myself.
Friday night somebody stole the lockbox, and all the brand new kitchen aid appliances from inside the house. Considering they went in the lockbox - there was only 4 people that new the code.
Call the owner - and he pretty much laughed and said make sure you pay the bill (that was 4 times what they quoted) or I will file a lien on your house.
Take what you will, but I would never use this company.

I've used Brooks Plumbing for a couple issues recently, and they are great about same day service. We had a leak coming from below the bathroom and were worried it was a slab leak. They got someone out in a couple hours and determined it was condensation build up on the AC lines. Their prices are competitive with other local plumbers, and they are always great about explaining the plumbing problems in great detail. I highly recommend them!

I called them to get a price on a bathtub drain pipe cleaning and the lady on the phone that she didn't know!! Really?? She said there would be a trip fee and then a flat rate that I could either take or leave. Since that call I called other plumbers in the area and SURPRISE! they were ALL able to get me a quote over the phone. Pretending not to know the price of a basic job, that is probably requested a lot seems very unprofessional if not even shady to me. Or that lady has no clue and should be better prepared to do her job right!
