This install was a while back but I thought it should be reviewed. When he was here, some things Steve said I was right on board with, other things he said made me think he was behind on his code. The hose fitting he put in was not properly anchored and wobbles (I fixed this with new screws since they stripped them) The Water softener lines leaked all over the place the first time it ran and I had to fix them myself. (tighten it up). They should have tested their install before leaving. The owner did not introduce himself or act friendly in any way when he was here. The solder looks like a 12 year old did it and is not cleaned up or consistent at all. Although this is working for now, I'm used to much higher quality plumbing work. I expect I'll have to repair leaks in the lines before too long. I won't be calling again.

I have read the below complaints, and have experienced the exact same treatment. I have also had my brass and copper stolen from my house after the wild goose chased me to Home Depot for a new faucet, which then I found out only needed extensions. I actually called and said I would like my fittings returned, they said it was trash, but not in my trash can. I then found my stuff in the back of the truck ( after several service calls over a water heater not installed properly by them the first time ) after I said to leave my stuff alone.
You get 95 dollared to death for nothing... when they do work, you better stand right there, and God forbid you ask a question, you get slick talk and JoAnn answering the phone should be called "I don't know, let me call you back, or I'm not a plumber"...Why is she answering the phone? Then the guys show up saying she didn't explain the job right, but you still get charged 95 dollars, sent away to get parts or whatever distraction they can come up with and your stuff is either gone, a new plan in place that you never had a discussion over, etc.
I gave this company a second chance after they pulled the "I don't know game", kept coming out claiming they either couldn't figure it out, needed time, multiple trips, and the whole time, I thought it was billed by the job, have it resolved and then get a bill for that job. I'm not the expert, they claim to be, yet I could call my neighbor to come over and just stare at stuff and give him 95 dollars, I'm sure he could use it more than these scam artists.
Final note: If their claim of always cleaning up the job site entails stealing brass and copper and calling it "trash", kinda funny how TX Septic Systems pumped out my tank earlier this year, and said all of Brittain plumbing's cut off pipes from an install of a T-valve several years back was laying in my tank, they didn't clean up that trash, TX Septic did, gave him some money for helping me, like I thought a good service person would do for a homeowner whenever you call them.
Oh, and by the way, if you happen to go in to the office to complain about your service, they tell you that you are being recorded as a method of intimidation. Give me a break.
Google this and you'll see... stealing brass and copper fittings is happening now.
Let's not also forget when you are trying to get a breakdown of the bill.. you can't understand it, then they charge you interest on your bill but won't break it down for you to tell you what you are paying for... It's just 95 dollars and hour... for whatever, even if they don't fix it right the first time. When I could get a breakdown of parts, it was a 12.00 part that they charged me 75.00 for.. the constant confusion and circus act is very upsetting and stressful.
Never use this company if you want to feel safe in your home, and trust it will be an honest transaction. Trying to work it out with benefit of the doubt incentives to resolve issues doesn't work, they just do not care about ripping you off, and have fun getting away with it.

Needing to finish our bathroom remodel and having broken the old, rigid supply lines, I had reached my comfort level as an amateur.
All lines coming from the wall needed to be cut and shortened as well, we had an AC drain line needing shortening and reconnecting and finally had all cut-off valves in need of full replacement.
Ric came out and had no issue at all with it. He was friendly and courteous while also taking the time to explain what he would be repairing. At the end of his time, Ric went the extra mile, assisting me while I finalized the caulking under and around the vanities.
Thank you Ric & Brittain Plumbing.

Many years ago, Mr. Brittain rescued us from a hot water heater that was spewing hot water directly at us. I have never wavered and always choose Brittain for plumbing service. Zach and Jared just completed installation of my new water heater in record time. I was amazed that they arrived so early in the day which leaves me plenty of time to do other things today. The water heater location had already been moved from the attic to the garage so the leak was heading out onto the driveway not through the ceiling. Zach and Jared were prompt, efficient, polite and professional. I am extremely pleased with their service. The ladies who handled my call were also helpful and pleasant. I will continue to give all of my plumbing business to Brittain Plumbing. Thanks for such great and prompt service!

Second time we have called Brittain Plumbing. Great service, quick , knowledgeable, fair prices and friendly . Mike was the technician we had this morning and he is the reason we are writing the review.

Over the last 12 years, I have used Brittain Plumbing three times the replace my underground water pressure regulator. In the three times they dispatched they had to return to the office to pick-up more hardware to complete the job, as well as to bill me for their travel time. In addition, on my last repair they charged me a "tool rental" fee. As for their work they do a good job, but I cannot recommend them for their labor and other charges. For this I give them three stars one for each time they dispatched to my home. Time to find a new plumber.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. When I made the appointment, I specifically asked for an experienced plumber. Two men arrived at my house and proceeded to change out the toilet connectors with the plastic nuts. We were advised by Del Webb that these nuts could possibly fail and flood our house, so this was a preventative step. One plumber constantly told the other (whom I assume was a trainee with zero experience) to redo his work. I also mentioned that the toilets had a slight drip into the bowls, and could they please check that. They replaced a part and after about 30 minutes they told me the work was complete. I thanked them and they left. I checked the toilets and they were still leaking, so I ran out front and caught them. They worked some more and decided they had to rebuild all the insides on all toilets, including the flush valves. They left to get parts and returned about an hour later. When they finished, I again thanked them and they left. Just to be sure, I went around and checked the toilets. One of the bathrooms had water all over the floor! I ran out front and caught them and they came inside and worked some more. Finally they said they were done and left. This time my husband checked the toilet in the master bath and it kept running. He checked inside the tank and discovered that they had not connected the wire to the flusher. Whoever heard of a plumber who doesn't check his work? I also had them check my disposal to see if it was leaking. They said there was a small crack in it but that there was no leak. Today I found a big leak under the sink! I called a different plumber to replace my disposal!
Here's the kicker...I received a bill for $434.74! Labor was $237.50, and this was after an "adjustment" of 30 minutes. Are you kidding me? I called the company to complain and was basically told "tough." I feel like I am being charged for the "trainee" to learn the trade and for both of the plumbers' incompetence. Perhaps I also paid for their travel time to get the parts. Changing out the "guts" of toilets should take no more than an hour...not 2-1/2 hours!
I definitely would not use this company again. I told them I would be writing a negative review and they simply said that was fine.
I spoke to a neighbor who used them, and he said he had to have them back out to redo a job. They did not charge him for this.
Final word...stay clear of this company!

I had them out to repair a drain leak and a faucet leak. Need to order a new drain. They replaced the guts of faucet which was fixed but sprayer was worse now with continuous leak. He then said it would probably be cheaper to get a new one, Which I told him I would have by the end of the day. He said the drain would take about two days, which would be Wednesday. Never heard from them and so I called them on Friday to ask if they could come out to finish the job. She told me we can't so that you will have to wait until next week. Meanwhile all weekend the sprayer was leaking water and the right side of my sink was not useable. Them came Monday. I received a bill and noticed I am being charge twice for them to drive ten minutes. When you have someone come out and they can't fix it the first time Brittain will charge you $100 for both times. Even after the first guy said i wouldn't be charged!! Never use them again and the lady who answered was unpleasant.

I have been a customer of Brittain Plumbing for 15+ years after they initially came to my rescue in 2000 with a problem just past my regulator. After creating an even greater problem with self service, Brittain came and cleaned my mess - fortunately it was in the yard! Since then they have replaced 2 water heaters in my prior residence and already have 3 water heaters in my current home along with a toilette replacement.
What's up with water heaters in Texas? We decided to go with a model not carried by Brittain, without anodizing rods, but still wanted their professional service for the install. I'm sure I had turned down a reasonable price for installation with those who sold the heater but prefer sticking with a team where I have confidence. Thanks!

Brittain Plumbing installed two new shower mixers at my house a few years ago, but within 6 months the mixer no longer functioned. The owner came out and replaced a part, charging us $175. The new mixer component soon also failed with the same problem. Earlier this month we called to have them come out and look at the mixer, plus our hot water heater which kept turning off. The owner of the company, same guy who came out last time. Immediately began saying what a piece of crap our 5 years old water hear was, how he couldn't really help, I'd have to contact the manufacturer for a part. Same story on the mixer valve, which he previously replaced. Now it was my responsibility to contact the manufacturer and get the replacement part. He was there for a grand total of 15 minutes and did absolutely nothing to alleviate my issues. Now two weeks later they send me a bill for $140. And for what?? Absolutely nothing. I have used this company for more than 15 years, and recommended them to others. But after this I will never ever use them again ,and I am letting all of my neighbors, friends and children living in the area know about my experience. They used to be good, they've deteriorated dramatically and will no longer receive my business as a result. This will be the last $140 you ever get from me.
