This evening I had to call a plumber to come out ASAP because had a leak in my fireplace and Washington Gas had turned off my gas (leaving me with no heat). After calling countless different companies to try and get someone to come out and fix it so I could turn my heat back on, I finally stumbled upon Jeff Brinson. To say that this guy was fantastic would be the understatement of the year (even though it's only a week old...). Jeff had already put in a full day and told me he was completely booked for the next week. He said that he would come by and take a look and try to fix it. He got to my place around 8pm and worked until about 10pm. He was really concerned about the mess he was making and was constantly apologizing for it. He cleaned up everything at the end and left with a smile. He never seemed like he was being put out for being there. I can't recommend him enough. And, he offers a warranty for all of his work. If you have any needs, please patronize him!

He has fixed leaking pipes in our home, a clogged shower, a leaking tub fixture, running toilets, garbage disposal and more. I strongly recommend you not even consider using Brinson and Son Plumbing. This is my recommendation even though he never even made it to my home. I had an appointment for him to work on my water heater at 2 pm on Oct 2, 2013. When no showed up by 3:30 I called the office and didn't get anyone but did left a voicemail. At a little after 5 pm Jeff called me and said he was on his way, but that he had to pick his daughter and that he was bringing her with him. I asked how old was she, he replied nine. Then rudely asked if this was a problem, I replied yes, he said if I wanted my heater fixed she had to come. I declined his offer of service. He didn't provide any reason why he was calling three hours after the appointment and was very rude. I was on the fence about using him because the estimate to replace an anode in my water heater was $450, as I found out an outrageous amount. Run don't walk away from this company.

This is my second experience with Jeff Brinson, and I'm really pleased. In fact, Jeff's wife Sharon, who answers the phone, is probably the best customer service person I've encountered in years. Based on my description of a leak in our home (which dripped through the ceiling into our guest room below), Sharon suggested that our problem might merely be an aging toilet. Turns out she was totally right -- saving us a fortune in drywall and painting work. As if that weren't helpful enough, Sharon helped me locate a plumbing supply company that carries Toto toilets, so I didn't have to go through a pricey ""bathroom design"" firm in Tyson's. And THEN, she called them and had them get everything ready for when I picked it up.

I've got a sticky note in my file with Brinson and Son Plumbing's phone number, and the notation ""This is OUR plumber!""

This is the first and last time we will use this plumber. We've had many plumbers over the years and many good ones in our list but this company (Jeff) only warranties his work for 30 days, we found out after the fact. They charged us over $100 to replace a toilet flushing mechanism. Three months later it started leaking over our hardwood floors and into basement. I called them and they came by two days later to fix. He charged my wife $135 to tighten the loose bolts in the bottom of the tank claiming someone had rocked them lose. Total rip off and not ethical in my opinion.

Very disappointed. I read the reviews here and was enthused to call them about installing a toilet. Was told that ""this is not something we could do right now,"" to which I replied, ""...or anytime in the future...?"" The answer was no, with no explanation as to why. OK, fine. I'll have to go elsewhere, even though this company is located about 5 minutes from where I live. Not happy.

He walked off a job after taking full payment over $500. On his way out he screamed at one of my painters half his size.

He cashed the check and then did not call - until I left a negative review.

In the end - he kept the money. I left a negative review. THEN he called and screamed at me!

The next plumber fixed the toilet in ten minutes.
