He did a good job no complaints there but the price he charged was excessive. I got a couple of other bids after and found his cost to be almost double.

We were referred to Brighton Plumbing by our over-scheduled regular plumber when we needed some water pipes and gas lines replaced that had been damaged by a small electrical fire in our house. Brighton was able to come out the next morning and do the job in a few hours with minimal drywall damage. Excellent work done in a very timely manner.

I am writing this review for one reason: to save others from the agony we experienced with Brighton Plumbing.
Our experience includes the owner of the company accidentally setting our drywall on fire, and also installing a valve in the wrong bathroom. This was a miserable experience.
When he sent me his invoice a week later (which did not account for the time spent installing the valve or uninstalling it and replacing it with the right one), I responded immediately, detailing those and other problems with the work. I did not hear from him for two months. When we talked on the phone he called me names. We hired another plumber to repair and complete the work he left undone. It was a far more pleasant experience.

Wow!! I literally have never posted a review in my life but feel I would be doing a disservice by not sharing my unbelievably bad experience with Brighton Plumbing (Yes, this Brighton Plumbing!). Where's the zero stars option when you need it?!
The tenants at a rental home I manage reported to me that they smelled gas in the basement, so I quickly called the gas company, and several plumbers. When I spoke with Jim at Brighton Plumbing, he told me he does, in fact, repair plumbing associated with gas leaks, and that he'd stop by the house to take care of it for me.
Jim called me later that same day, however, and told me he couldn't find a gas leak - end of Brighton Plumbing, I thought. Knowing there had to be a gas leak, I called another plumber who immediately located the problem and did the repairs for me. [The first thing this other plumber did was turn on the gas at the meter, which the gas company had turned off earlier in the day.]
Months later, Jim called me to collect on his invoice. I had never received an invoice from him, so I asked him to email it to me for my review - he charged me $150 to essentially tell me he couldn't find a gas leak.
I reached out to Jim several times after receiving his invoice, including sending multiple emails, but never got a reply. We finally connected on the phone today (many months later). He told me the work I had asked him to do was to ""re-light the furnace and water heater,"" which he was unable to do, and that the $150 was for his time. I reminded him that I had actually asked him to locate and repair a gas leak in the basement - he denied ever discussing a gas leak with me. After several minutes of bantering over what I had originally asked him to repair, I explained my position and asked him whether he'd be willing to accept $75 for his time, in light of the circumstances. He went off, proceeded to yell at me, called me a ""cheat"" several times, then hung up on me. I very reluctantly mailed a check to him today for the full $150 just to put the nightmare behind me.

This guy was great. I had a plumbing issue that I'd had multiple plumbers already come out and give me bids on. He was the first one to be honest and tell me that the project could be done for about $50 if I went to Lowes or Home Depot and did it myself. But it didn't end there, he even went as far as to actually walk me through every single part that was needed. Then added at the end, ""that should save you at least $400 in labor, good luck and let me know if you need help with it."" I'll definitely be calling this company for all my plumbing needs in the future. It's rare to to find a company that's in the business to actually help people and not just throw an overpriced bid together and hope you pick them.

They're not kidding when they say they're available 24/7.
I noticed my water heater was leaking in the basement at 8 pm on a Thursday night.
I called Jim. He was just finishing another job but was at my home within 30 minutes to turn off my water.
He recommended replacing the water heater. He checked the water heater's model number, size, etc. to get the correct replacement.
He had other jobs scheduled for Friday (in Wyoming) and Saturday, so I had to schedule another plumber to install a new water heater the next morning.
Jim helped us out with leaking faucets, etc. a few years ago.
He is quick to respond to calls for help, is knowledgeable, and his pricing is fair.
His business is located nearby my neighborhood (Murray/Cottonwood Heights).
I recommend this company for plumbing needs!

After getting the bait and switch tactic from two other ""reputable"" companies I called Brighton. They gave me an hourly rate and estimated it would take an hour to uclog my kitchen drain. Sure enough, the tech ran a snake thorugh the line and in 40 minutes, for less than $100.00 my problem was solved. Thank you Brighton Plumbing.
