Briggs plumbing is the best plumbing company that I have EVER dealt with. I have been using Briggs plumbing for over 8 years. Today, I called Briggs for an emergency, and Byron, who is the owner, responded right away. He was on the way to another job and then came here right after. A royal palm branch fell on my water pipes and busted it, water was exploding everywhere. I had to shut all of my water off. Byron came, fixed the problem quickly (repaired the broken pipes), and of course always gives a very fair price in return. He is so efficient and so nice. Every time I've had a plumbing problem, he has taken care of it properly and quickly. And on a personal note, he's a great person. I highly recommend Briggs plumbing.

I had a bad experience with Briggs Plumbing, and I would NOT recommend using them. I felt that they tried to overcharge me on a scale that I've rarely seen, even among South Florida's notorious contractors. Here's what happened: I called Briggs Plumbing, and a woman answered with a child screaming in the background. Unprofessional. I told her that I needed a repair or replacement of a basic toilet component known as a fill valve, and she scheduled an appointment with a """"tech,"""" that apparently turned out to be Mr. Byron Briggs, the owner of the company. Although he showed up on time, things went quickly downhill. The water in my guest bedroom toilet was running continuously, so Mr. Briggs diagnosed it as a faulty fill valve, which costs about $20 at Home Depot, and requires a 10-15 minute installation. I guess Briggs didn't realize that I was familiar with the actual cost of the part, so without skipping a beat, he proceeded to estimate the cost of replacement at... $175 (One Hundred Seventy Five dollars!) I said no thanks, and sent him on his way. Let's do the math: $175 charge - $20 in parts = $155 for less than 15 minutes of labor. On an hourly basis that works out to more than $620/hr. Really, Briggs??? Now, this isn't the first time I've received outrageous quotes from contractors, and it probably won't be the last. And, fortunately, the excessive charge isn't a financial make-it-or-break-it for me. But still... The attempt to overcharge me to this extent on a simple plumbing part replacement goes beyond what I or any other home owner should tolerate, and it raises serious questions for me about Briggs Plumbing. Update: The following day, I watched a 4 minute Youtube video on how to replace a fill valve, saw how ridiculously simple it is, and headed to Home Depot. I paid about $18 for the part, went home and replaced the old one in under 10 minutes, no tools needed. I keep on shaking my head at the thought that Briggs Plumbing wanted to charge me $175 for this... That's why I would never recommend Briggs Plumbing.

I wanted to wait until I could actually update my review instead of edit. First, I will say woman on the phone was really nice. But... Doesn't know how to add. They were nice enough to allow me to use the coupons on their website but $40+$25 is $65 not $60 but I didn't even bother with the $5. These people nickel and dime ya. This company came out 2 times and the job still wasn't completed and needed to come out a third day but had to go with a second company. Have you ever heard of this craziness ?! They charge you for EVERY LITTLE THING POSSIBLE. I called for a snake job. Guy came. Whacked me up for I think $300. 20 minutes later, still the same issue! I call the guy back, nice guy, but ...obviously you didn't do the job. The second day he came back with a camera. Found the pipe issue with a paper towel/toilet paper (mesh like) clinging on to something. Leaves it there and doesn't even snake it again to clear it !!!! and says he needs to come back tomorrow with another guy. I'm sorry but after day 1 you didn't fix/solve/have any idea wtf the problem was then why not do this on day 2?!? tells me on day two after he still didn't fix the job that he needs to get paid for doing half of the job and will charge me what he did. Ummm WTF ?!?! You are hired for a job, you complete it and get paid when it's finished !!! I shouldn't have paid but said WTF ever and that was $285 or around that ball park and said if I wanted the footage, it would be an additional $200 or $250. Like, what ?!? Later that day I called my cousin in NC that's a plumber and said he didn't understand if he did a camera job that if he let out 10ft of camera cord and at 8ft out of the camera cord he saw the issue then why he would need another guy ! He referenced me to someone he knew in palm beach that wouldn't give me a run around and need to come out 3 days to figure out the problem. That company came. 1 guy. 1 camera. Pipe cleared. And told me my issue and where it's at. The other guy from this company was like oh I need to get another guy in here bc looks like the pipe that's an issue is inside underneath your house and will have to break through tile/concrete. Um ... no, ty. I call back this company and get some real pr*ck on the phone (not my original guy) trying to explain that I shouldn't have to pay for the snake job bc essentially they didn't even clear it the two days they came and wanted to come a 3rd day and the other company I had come cleared it. Mr. know it all was arrogant like he couldn't be bothered and said something along the lines of well that's you opinion and I'm the professional .. not exactly that but the jist of it like a subliminal FU. Seriously .. do your research. And please don't use these guys. Nickel and dime you and expect to be paid for half ass jobs that they don't finish and a span of a one day job to 3-4 etc etc. I should've read more reviews before booking but was in a bind. Shame on me. Blah.

Had Jeffrey at my property yesterday to camera the line. he was 'on time' which I think is great already, was quick and found the problem Scheduled Jeffrey back today and he snaked the lines, quickly, got out the blockage ( a small toy ) and we were all set. Was it cheap, no, was it competitive, yes and the efficiency is worth even more! I will call Briggs again if I need plumbing!

extremely pricey and rude service, if you like to spend top dollar for a small quick fix, they are the place to call. shamefully just to take a look at a water heater and determine if it's broken they charged us $95.00. fixed a pin hole in our pipe for $450.00 clearly taking advantage of people in need, have no shame in how much they charge for a 10 minute work. Before you call Briggs check how much a repair cost and you will see they way overpriced.

Omg...I had such a great experience with this company last year, I wrote about them. Now my shower head was leaking, and the standard price they said to repair was $225. Ok if that's what it costs to replace everything inside the Delta faucet, which they said they do, I trust you! NOT!!!!!!! 15mins, max 20 mins (including turning off water..and a breaker-which they even forgot to turn back on!!!) they changed a part that they dropped in my garbage and I asked that's it..yep! They parts price at Lowes $7.99 ...what a scam...they charge by job.. Don't be bamboozled!

Based on the very positive reviews on Yelp, I ordered Briggs to come out and fix a couple of problems. One problem was very minor; the garbage disposal smelled and the plumber took out pieces of onion that were stuck in the bottom as well as put a lot of ice through the system to clear it. It took about 15 minutes and I was charged $62.00. The other issue was the fill valve needed replacing in one of the bathrooms. I was charged $174.00 for that. A fill valve replacement part is less than $10. The total time spent in my home was less than one hour and the cost was $211 (it would have been $236 but I had a $25 coupon). Overall, I would have to say that they did a good job; however, their prices are unreasonably high. I will not use them again, nor will I be able to refer them to my real estate clients who often ask for referrals to various tradespeople. Other companies quoted me an hourly rate of about $125. Their hourly rate seems to be more in the range of $225.

Gave me a window of 3 to 5, guy came at 6. Walked around for property for 30 min told me I had two leaks and couldn't figure out where they were then wrote me an invoice for 150$ and to call them when I figured out where the leak was. What a joke this company is

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Downstairs neighbor complained of a ceiling leak, possibly coming from my unit. Although the office was swamped with callers and requests, I spoke with Claudia, who scheduled the repair as soon as she was able to find an opening. Byron arrived and assessed the ceiling damage (minimal, if any). He expertly made a minor repair and everything appears to be back to normal. The price was reasonable and the work was done quickly and efficiently at a reasonable price. I will definitely refer everyone to Briggs for repairs and always use your services whenever I need you. You guys are the best!!!
