They were assigned by my home warranty service on a Saturday and didn't schedule until the next Wednesday. No one showed up or called. I called them multiple times and left messages with no response. I finally got through and rescheduled for Thursday. They tech came in without a mask (during COVID-19). He took a couple pictures and said he would write a report. I never heard back. I called my home warranty the following Monday and was told Brick Street plumbing had been given authorization to move forward the previous Friday at 7:30am. All they did was waste my time.
Kyra M.THIS COMPANY AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TRASH...GARBAGE...A WASTE...SHOULD HAVE CLOSED THEIR DOORS WHEN THE THOUGHT ABOUT OPENING UP CAME TO MIND!!! ITS CLEAR THIS COMPANY WAS NOT THOUGHT OUT AT ALL ON HOW THINGS WOULD RUN!
I called to setup an appointment, I was given a 4 hour window. The tech was 2 hours late after the 4 hour window expired. I never received a 30 minute notification that he was on the way. When he arrived, he wasn't professional & I found out in the two minutes he was here that he had just recovered from a Staph infection, which we know is highly contagious. He did absolutely nothing and was asked to leave. For the love of God & your family, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
This company was assigned by AHS insurance to come and fix my water heater, got a call from the technician saying they where on their way 3 hours later no body showed up,call the headquarters to see what was going on they said they where going to call see where they where, after waiting all afternoon I never heard back from the secretary or the technician, had to call AHS again so they can assign another company to fix my problem.
The plumber came out and said he needed to go rent a snake because the company doesn't have them. He tells me he will go to Home Depot and return. After an hour and a half I called Brickstreet for an update. Lindsay places me on hold and contacted the plumber. I was then told he is at Home Depot and will call me with an update. It is now 2 hours later, brick street is closed and I have no updates. This was through my home warranty company. NEVER USE BRICKSTREET. if your home warranty company assigned them, immediately call for another company.
My home warranty company forced me to use this company and if you've ever worked with a home warranty company you know how painful of a process that can be in and of itself Unprofessional, unresponsive, not punctual and I think they may be scam artists. My estimate started off with a part replacement, and now it's a need a whole new hot water heater, with a laundry list of other nonsense that the home warranty company won't cover. It's just a scam. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. McCarthy Home Services all the way!
Christopher S.Reading the 1 star reviews posted by other people, I can't help but see that I had similar experience with Brick Street Plumbing as most of them. Over a month ago (keep this in mind... A MONTH), I submitted a service request through my home warranty to have my toilet fixed and Brick Street Plumbing was assign to the job. The technician showed up and after about 15 mins tells me that my toilet needs a ""new part"" (what ""part"" my toilet needed, I have no clue. I don't have some fancy toilet, so pretty much any part my toilet needed should be found at Home Depot or Lowe's) and that he is going to run to home depot to get it. After about a half-hour later, the tech comes back to tell me that Home Depot didn't have the ""part"" (so... a place like Home Depot doesn't have this magical elusive ""part"" for my standard toilet?) and that they would need to order the ""part"" and they would be back in about a week.
Well a week goes by and I don't hear anything and then I see that my ticket with my home warranty was closed out. So... after seeing this I let me home warranty know that the work had not been finished and that Brick Street Plumbing needed to come out to my house and finish the job. The ticket was re-opened and at that time, I received a call from Brick Street Plumbing to let me know that they have a note to come out of finish the job but they are just waiting on ""the part"" to come in.
So another 3 weeks go by before I finally call back again. This time, the lady I spoke with tells me that she needs to speak with her Supply Manager to find out the status of ""the part"" because she agreed that it was taking too long for this ""part"" to come in. She said that as soon as she spoke with her Supply Manager she would give me a call back. She never called me back.
Another week goes by and I called them again. This time, I spoke with a man that didn't know about the issue but that he would try to contact the original tech to see what was going on. Shocker! He couldn't, but told me that he would call me back before the close of business... well, again... no one called me back. The next day, I called up again, and this time I spoke with the lady from the previous week. She said that ""the part"" had finally come in and ""the part"" was with the tech. She kept apologizing over and over again and said that they could get me on the schedule for Friday (today). I asked, if ""the part"" had come in, why didn't anyone 1) call me to let me know ""the part"" that I had been waiting for, for a month had come in and 2) to schedule the appointment of fix my toilet. She had no answer. Next, I asked why I had to wait so long considering everything they had done, shouldn't they get a tech out to my house ASAP. She couldn't answer that either, except to say that they were very busy and today between 8-noon was the best they could do.
Well... I waited between 8 and noon and no one showed up. I called Brick Street Plumbing and again spoke with the same lady and all she could tell me was that the tech was very busy and that he got hung up on a job in Leesburg and that he would be coming right from there. She said that he would call me a half-hour before he got there. My response to that was, ""your tech is now going to be an hour past the four hour window you gave me and all the other things that Brick Street Plumbing had done, and you think this is acceptable?"" All she could do was apologize... again...
After waiting for another hour I called Brick Street Plumbing to cancel the service. Unfortunately, they must have seen my number come through because no one answer the phone this time and I had to leave a message cancelling the service. I then reached out to my home warranty and explain the situation, they re-opened the ticket, assigned another company to fix the job that Brick Street Plumbing was incapable of doing, and waived the service charge, since Brick Street Plumbing had already taken the money without doing anything... Let me repeat that... they came out to my house, took the money for the service charge, left and never came back... they never followed up.... and if I hadn't called them over and over again, probably would have never heard from them.
But, I digress...then around 3pm... what happens? Brick Street Plumbing's tech calls me to that he was on his way... Keep in mind this is now three hours past the four hour window that Brick Street Plumbing had originally provided me. I told the guy forget it, I've cancelled the services.
Long story short... if have a home warranty and Brick Street Plumbing is assigned to fix something in your house, reach out to your home warranty and have it reassigned to another company ASAP. And if you are just looking for a plumber... do not call them... call anybody but them...
My home warranty company hired them for a toilet issue. They tried to plunge it which isn't the issue, I had plunged it myself before doing the work order. They said they would have to remove the toilet to snake it which is ridiculous and of course ""removing items to get to the source"" isn't covered. You don't need to remove a toilet to snake it with a professional snake that is long enough to do the job. Update: a different company came to look at the toilet he immediately pulls see it wasn't clogged that is was flushing slow due to a mechanical issue. Home warranty covered to replace the toilet like should've occurred in the first place.
Right before Christmas we found ourselves with no water and in a literal nightmare. We called our home warranty company who arranged a service with Brick Street Plumbing. Kenny arrived to our home on literally the coldest day of the year to date but without hesitation he promptly started diagnosing our issue and discovered it was our well pump. He was right on getting it fixed too. He called the insurance for approval, headed out to get the materials and equipment needed, and though he later got help from another great tech, Tyler, he about pulled that thing out by himself! I asked a ton of questions and he was so informative. Several hours later we have a new pump and we have not had a problem since. I would recommend this company especially for a well pump but particularly I want to give high praise to Kenny and Tyler. Thank you so much for everything :)
Alia K.This company came out on 11/15/19, to repair a leaky bathtub faucet, and replace a bathtub drain cover. This was coordinated with AHS home warranty. Plumber told me his manager doesn't allow plumbers to even touch 3 handle faucets. (Money making scheme this plumber was trying to pull). Suggested I replace my 3 handle tub faucet with a single handle, but would have to break some tiles etc. After some convincing, the plumber did repair the 3 handle faucet. Next, he went out to purchase the part that needs fixing. He didn't even purchase the drain cover. Gave me a lame story that he forgot to purchase the drain cover. After he was done fixing the tub faucet, he told me ""I will try to come back and fix the drain cover."" I waited another hour, no show. A few minutes after, I received a text message from company saying work was completed. Something is fishy at this point. I decided to call the company, let them know that the plumber promised to come back, told them left some of his tools, and didn't even bother to close the access door panel to the plumbing. Tina told me she'd call me back in a few minutes to find out what happened. Well, 30 minutes passed, and no phone call. I called back. Tina said that the plumber said ""the drain cover was broken by the customer, and was not due to normal wear and tear."" Plumber communicated this to AHS home warranty, who denied the work being done. Brick Street never contacted me to say this. The plumber went in his truck after fixing the faucet, and contacted the warranty company. This plumber did this so he would get out of not doing his job, and told me he had other customers to get to. Really? Your company sent you to do a job, but makes me look like the one who broke the drain cover. I have a 69 year old bathtub. I guess drain covers are supposed to last forever then! I told Tina at Brick Street Plumbing that I thought highly of them the first time, when they did another job for me, but was really upset I was taken for a fool the second time around. All Tina said was ""sorry you feel that way."" Well Tina, ""sorry"" did not fix my problem. The plumber's name was Korsell Taylor. Beware of this shady plumber, and rip off company.
I do not recommend this company for any plumbing services. My home warranty hired them to repair a leaking shower faucet. The unprofessional technician arrived to fix the problem, however, he could not fix the leaks and stated that he replaced the part (shower cartridge). The insurance company and the plumbing company were informed about the job results. The company claimed that the job was completed and a cartridge was replaced in the shower. The job was not completed, and the part was not replaced as they claimed. The shower was left in a leaking state. My insurance company recalled the vendor to go back and finish the job. The second technician they sent did not stop the water leak and replace the cartridge part. They lied to the insurance company to collect their money and submitted invoice that they replaced the part and completed the job. Unsatisfied, I purchased parts from Lowes to repair the leaking myself. It took me less than an 30 minutes to finish the job. I'm asking myself, why the two unprofessional and trained technicians sent by the home warranty company, on two separate occasions, didn't seem to be able to get the job done.
