Brick Street (BS) West Virginia created a problem and wanted me to pay them for fixing their mistake. BS has one out of five stars rating on BBB, and many unsolved complaints. Also, BS has very poor reviews on Yelp and Google Review.
BS is very unethical, extremely incompetent in customer and technical services. After gas water heater installation, we are unable to build our bathroom behind the water heater, due to heater's drain pipe and expansion tank pointing perpendicular and directly at the future bathroom wall. Nobody would miss seeing the bathroom's rough-in (sink, toilet, and shower).
The office lady said she gave work to her technicians. The technician said the office lady did not understand technical. As a customer, I just care BS to get paid and help me solving my issues.
WITHOUT firm arrival time frame (in the day, in the AM or PM), the technician always called about twenty minutes before arrival. Fortunately, I was at home during those time.
* Wed, May 5, 2021: Per request, I provided pictures of the water heater, and its plumbing pipes. No in-person inspection by BS, while all other companies came and inspected in-person.
* Thu: I followed up for the appointment
* Friday, late afternoon: BS collected deposit
* Monday, after 1PM: No work done. The technician arrived and claimed he needed parts.
* Tuesday, 1-5PM: the technician left with the dripping water leak at a pipe joint. Water leaked overnight and the next whole day.
* Wed, 6PM: the lead technician arrived and fixed the water leak. Now, we are unable to build the bathroom.
* Thu: I called and discussed with the BS office about the problem to building our bathroom. The office lady wanted me to pay to fix the problem, which BS created.
* Fri: BS collected the complete payment. For required safety inspection, I need to wait for the unknown date.
* Mon: Again, BS collected the complete payment.

Me and my husband contacted them last year after a friend recommended, finally a few months back we let them go, and nothing was ever done by them. kept talking a good game but never took any notes on changes we wanted, was only after the money they thought they were going to get after we had told them our budget they still came in way to high. Glad we ended it with them after paying out a few thousand for drawings, but one good thing our new builder can use them.

We used Brick Street to construct a custom Trex deck for us. Our experience went seamlessly. We cannot be happier with our finished product. It is gorgeous! We cannot say enough good things about our deck and the costumer service we received from Brick Street! Cannot wait to have numerous cookouts with friends and family.

Tim Martin is exactly what all these other reviews explain him to be - a scam artist without a spine. Must be the most unethical contractor in all of the Maryland/West Virginia/Virginia Area.

I am so happy I had to run to Home Depot last weekend because I ran into him as he was walking out. He put his head down and walked fast in the other direction once he had seen me. I stopped and watched him in disbelief and then I yelled, ""Tim, it's so great to see you here, too bad I never saw you again at my job site."" Many saw and watched this interaction - he then put his head down and fast walked directly to his car.

They left my job site about 60% complete with about 80% of the total build money paid to them... the rest of the funds would have been paid to sub-contractors (electrical, plumbing etc) so he knew it wouldn't be going to him so he just pulled his guys off the job.

I sent atleast 20 texts, phone calls, emails -- you name it -- Nothing. They left an absolute mess at the job site one day where they had ripped all the wrappers off of the shingles and left them in a pile, for a few days they just sat there and I kept saying please clean up because I don't want it blowing all over the road I live on... They never cleaned up and I ended up walking up and down my road cleaning the mess that that blown all over my neighbors properties. What's worse was their quality of work. The concrete pouring they did is some of the worst craftsmanship I have seen in my life. I could give you 30 or 40 examples of the terrible things they did...but I won't waste more time reliving this horrendous experience.

They started the work on our garage/barn for our sheep on August 27th 2018 and by January they had walked off the job and left us stuck. We have a sheep farm and they were WELL AWARE that we had many lambs to be born in early February which is why we needed the barn complete SO THEY DIDN'T FREEZE TO DEATH.

They wouldn't answer or do anything to help. We have now hired a variety of subcontractors to finish the job.

PLEASE DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND LEAVE YOU STUCK.

My family has used Brick Street Construction for multiple project including a finished basement, a new master bath and most recently this spring a new composite deck. (Our dream deck)! We have always enjoyed working with these guys and always recommend to our friends when they are looking for a good company.

We will always use this company for all our construction needs.

Fabulous Construction company to work with. The interior design that they came up with for our master bathroom was amazing. We had a monster master bath with a whole bunch of wasted space. We love our new bathroom. My wife and I can't stop talking about what a great experience this project has been with these guys and how much we love how it turned out.

Everything turned out well. Brick Street was able to walk us through the process and answer the many questions we had. We are no enjoying our extra living space.

This company NEVER made any corrections at my house! I drove to their Harper Ferry, WV office today and was told they vacated the premises about 3 weeks ago and did not leave any forwarding information. I'm screwed : ( Tim Martin is a LIAR in the first degree!!!

If you enjoy the headaches, anxiety, being held hostage because they have your money, no return phone calls from either the owner or their ""crack"" staff (Jacque), workers not knowing what or where things go looking at you for help, or how about just walking off the job and sending you an email like the one I received which stated ""it would be best that you find another contractor to complete the last few final items in your bathroom,"" (See copy of email attached) DO I NEED TO GO ON you get it. If you do enjoy all of the above and more, than by all means go for it and sign a contract with this company. It's really to bad I didn't do my duty by checking out social media like I hope you do before I signed. That was my stupidity and I'm paying for it. These kinds of operations are the first to go when business turns slower. I do give Tim credit, great salesmanship when closing the deal and getting my money, after that what a waste he is, you only see him when collecting money.

Master plumber Chuck came and quickly repaired our hot water tank. Chuck explained the reason for it not working properly, repair actions, and recommendations for future use.
