This company is completely unprofessional and disrespectful. They can't complete a job. Go anywhere else but here. We called and had WOW plumbing show up to give us an estimate on fixing a tub that was not draining at a rental property. While they were at the rental property they left the door open the entire time they were there in below freezing weather. The plumbing issue they were looking at was completely inside the house. The tenant also said they knocked things off counters and did not pick them up and talked over the tenant and was condescending while there. Eventually they canceled the scheduled service call, the day of, after being late, when it was scheduled over a week in advance and refused to do any work because a tenant requested to us that they not leave the door to the house open in freezing weather. They left a person without plumbing because they requested ""please close the door in freezing temperatures.""
On their estimate visit WOW plumbing said the issue was a single elbow that needed replaced. To replace this single elbow in plumbing line would be somewhere between $300-$600. The price seemed very high to us for replacing one elbow, but the tenants bath tub was not draining and it needed fixed, so we told them we'd like to schedule the repair. They were also informed about complaints the tenant had about leaving the door open. We've had other companies there for maintenance with our good tenant here and never had a problem.
Wow plumbing said it would be over a week before they could get to it and they would talk to their employees. We scheduled the day for them to come and make the repair. On the day they are scheduled to make the repair, which they said would be the morning, they contacted us at noon and said the WOW workers said it must have been the other maintenance man who was there looking at the plumbing that day and not them. We had already clarified with the tenant and said no, it was WOW plumbing and the request is to just please close the door after entering and exiting, not a big deal.
WOW plumbing then began telling us if it was their house they'd close the door themselves, that the person who complained is silly. I said this seems like a reasonable request, just close the door when entering or exiting. They said ok. They then called back and said that they weren't coming over and they were refusing to do the work since the tenant had complained about leaving the door open. They again said the tenant should close the door. I explained, after they kept cutting me off and interrupting me many times that there is a tight hallway by dryer, which is where they are working and the door is on the other side, which is blocked off by the workers. There's no reason they can't go there to do the job. Rather than being professional and hearing the request and doing the job, they got their feelings hurt that someone would say it's not ok to leave a door open in below freezing temperatures for hours at a time which the tenant had to run the furnace for hours and hours to finally get the temps turn back up. They said they refuse to go to the house then. There was no complaint about my tenant, in fact the WOW employee said they must be mistaken, he thought they had a great interaction with the tenant. The tenant only voiced to me that they were requesting the door be closed.
This company also demanded to us multiple times that the complete and full payment for the work be paid the minute they are finished with the repair. We told them we needed bill, but really there was no problem with that. But was thinking is this because their work doesn't last and they take the money and run before testing it can happen?
What kind of business schedules a job for someone without plumbing over a week later, is late and then the day of cancels, leaving someone without plumbing in their house because they asked they close the door outside? Childish mentality. Don't waste your time.
Barb S.Amazing. I called with a bit of an emergency--main valve had a pinhole leak--on a Friday afternoon before a holiday. Josh came over within the hour and it was all fixed up an hour later. Price was very reasonable, and I'm going to add this com-any to my contacts for my plumbers of choice. Thanks to Brian's WOW
