Mark N.I just replaced a bathroom faucet and had the cut-off valves replaced.
The plumber seems to have done a fantastic job. But they charge more than is reasonable.
While he was already here, he could replace our kitchen faucet with one just like we had. I bought it years ago for about $300.
They just sent me an estimate to replace my kitchen faucet with the one in the photo. Rick said it would take about 30 minutes and the faucet cost is only $300. It would cost another $585 in labor. $585 in labor for 30 minutes.
Let's say it cost them $100 in ancillary parts. Which it doesn't. But if it did, that would be $485 in labor (for 30 minutes).
Highly recommend if price is no object.
Their work is great. I will share the invoice once I receive it for the faucet cut off valves and small pipe repair (4 hours labor) and they were already here!
Update: I just learned from their office, they do not charge by the hour.
I would love what unit they do charge for
In November I contacted Brian Scroggins plumbing to address a faint gas smell in my garage assumedly coming from my water heater. Scroggins was originally scheduled to come on a Friday but had to reschedule for the following Monday, I couldn't be there so I gave my garage code and paid the diagnostic fee of $79. When he came to the house and assessed the issue, I was told the fee to fix the issue was $554 less the $79 diagnostic fee, for a total of $475. I inquired what the issue was with the water heater and was told that he had to turn the gas off and tighten the valves. The fee was excessive and I questioned it repeatedly but went ahead with the service because the house had recently sold and was set to close soon and the issue needed to be resolved for the new owner. I was not called when the job was completed as promised but later came to learn that the plumber was only there a total of 15 minutes.
I returned to the house later only to smell the same faint smell of gas. I called Scroggins back to have them come back out but was told there would be another $79 fee. I refused and they agreed to return the following Thursday at no charge. In the meantime, I called Vectren (I should have done this initially) Vectren sent a tech out. He immediately diagnosed the issue as a leaky regulator valve on my gas meter which is located directly outside of my garage door. He replaced the valve, and turned the gas back on in 20 minutes, no charge. No issues/gas smell since then.
I called Scroggins back to cancel their follow up visit and let them know that I was aware they charged me $475 for nothing. Jessica, the receptionist let me know she would talk to the owner about this and follow up but has never reached back out.
I am more than willing to pay for services and diagnostic fees but I was charged an excessive amount of money for nothing.
I DO NOT recommend this company.
worse plumbling company if you can call them that straight scam sent out some kid for my water heater not getting hot its 2 years old he tells me he cant figure out the brand of the water heater i had to look up model number for him then he goes to his truck to call the makers customer support that was his diagnosis and then procceed to tell me that theres no replacement parts and only way is get a new water heater i paid a 130 for that genius analysis
horrible work, even worse customer service! would have given zero stars if it was an option. They charge double what any other plumber around charges. also, I've got a ring camera and was watching from work the entire time he was there and he called saying there was a clog in the drain before he even took off the cap to look in the drain, he was just walking around my yard talking in his cell phone and even went looking into my neighbor's yard! I agree with a previous review that they charge the initial fee to come out and check because that's all the money though would get out of a normal person. I was desperate and so I got suckered... he left when the drain was not fully cleared out, and when I called them back saying there was still sewage backed up into my basement they basically said sorry, but you'll have to wait another 3 days for someone to come out and look... that was for a job that supposedly has a 30 day warranty!! if I flush the toilet, it goes straight into my basement... and I've got a young child... now what am I supposed to do?!?! teach the girls to pee in the backyard with no privacy fence?? tl/dr: AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!
Kym L.Did not show up for first appoinent..
Needed drain unclogged..rescheduled... was told it would be a $79 daignositc fee which is ok since it would go toward the unclogging.. Afer inspection they came back with 5 options that ranged from ripping out my pipes $1,300 to simple unclogging.. at $350.00 -- they did me a ""favor"" and charged me $250.. I needed the drain unclogged and paid 250..kicking myself as I should not have.. please do not call them unless you want to be ripped off...
We are glad we called Brian. He is very efficient and explains everything. He tells you what needs to be done and he gives you several options for repair. He also tells you how long the job will take. We will definitely call Brian again! Quality work.
Quick response and did an excellent job of explaining the ways to address our leaking pipe. I highly recommend for a number of reasons, but always remember you get what you pay for.
We are converting a garage to a Cottage and hired Brian Scroggins Plumbing as our plumbing contract. We were billed $13,000 with a $10,500 deposit. Here it is almost 4 months later with no completion in sight. They did about 10 hours of work, left the job site a complete mess, and scheduled three times to come back and never showed, never called to reschedule, and have never clean up their mess. I would never recommend them, they are unprofessional, unreliable, and overcharge for their services. They have recommended us the find another plumber but did not offer to return any of our deposit
I needed a new water today and got fantastic A + service. They made sure to clean up and lay down floor covering to protect my hard wood floors. Quick and friendly service
They came out early the date stated which was good thus 2 instead if 1 stars. I wish I read others price experiences pretty sure it was not a fair price. The 79$ estimate I understand and that came off the total. After the work was complete, I asked several familiar with plumbing costs and admit I grossly overpaid. But the work was done.
