Recommended Customer Reviews

I will never use Breckenridge Mechanical again for servicing my boiler system. They recently changed out a Honeywell Replacement Head on one zone valve (did not even have to replace the valve itself) and replaced a small expansion tank. The cost for the service exceeded $500 which was clearly double what a competent competitor would have charged for the same service. Customers should be aware of exorbitant labor charges, exorbitant materials charges, and double dipping Miscellaneous Expenses. Breckenridge Mechanical's office staff are unfriendly, rude and totally focused on maximizing service charges rather than fairly serving their customers. I will use one of several competitor companies when I next need professional help.

We had an issue with our heat and hot water. They stopped working during the coldest day of the Winter. They came out and repaired it right the first time! Great company!

No reflection on the technicians - they seem to be with the program but the office is staffed by unprofessionals who would do anything to charge; they prevented the tech from providing us with an itemized list of corrections (because they had a falling-out apparently with a warranty company covering our hvac who in turn had dropped them from their vendor list) and left us hanging with a non-working heating system. Piss poor customer service, bad attitude and plain old lying. Buyer beware!!!

I rarely give one star but sadly this time it's deserved.
We had them come out to provide us with an estimate for the repair for our boiler. I explained that I need a written estimate and was told that they can not provide estimated due to company policy. What kind of strange policy is that? So I tried to reach the manager several times to explain why I needed a repair estimate and a quote for a replacement for the full system. Left a message as well ... never got a response ... so they seem to not to be interested in customer satisfaction, service and doing business in general. So don't wast your time and call someone else.

Jim came out and fixed our busted pipes on short notice. He was on time, efficient, very well mannered, professional and the price was fair. I'm was very happy with the service.

Jim came out today to do a PM on my gas forced air unit. After a great inspection, he explained everything he did, what he looks for, and how the unit performed. He cleaned up after himself and then e-mailed the invoice immediately. Fast, friendly and complete. Breckenridge Mechanical are my new go to business from my HVAC needs. Thanks Jim!

An ongoing problem with our furnace was quickly addressed when Jim was dispatched to our home on Peak Seven. He demonstrated a through knowledge of our heating system and he was able to correct the problem with a couple of adjustments. His professionalism was reassuring and his service sets the standard.

I hired this company to complete the mechanical (plumbing and heating) on very large Breckenridge home a few years ago. I would not use them again.
Workmanship examples include:
* PVC drains not well secured (a flush brings a teeter-totter banging in the wall).
* Sanitary drains connected to vents (not pretty - these pipes are now buried in the foundation floor with in-floor radiant heat. This was not easy to fix.
* Plumbing joints that look like they were sweat by an 8 year old. Poor filets and frequent cold joints are visible.
* Expansion tanks put on the HOT water side of the heater - not the cold as the architect, drawings, and expansion tank vendor specify.
* Air Handlers (Fan Coil Units) with sheet metal screws inserted completely through the filters (which should be changed every 6 months).
I would not use them again - no matter how low the bid. They did come with good references, but these references did not prove accurate in our case.

Arrived at our home in Breckenridge to discover we had no hot water. Despite being a Saturday morning, Andy from Breckenridge Mechanical was here within two hours. The problem wasn't common....an iron build up in the hot water tank swirl input. He diagnosed it quickly, made the repairs and we had hot water within a couple of hours. Excellent service.

Overpriced and very slow. I called Breckenridge Mechanical to come out and work on my apartment, and their maintenance men were rude and very slow. The first guy sent out told me he doesn't know much about plumbing, then proceeded to put my bathroom back together wrong (the toilet) and caused more work for the 2nd guy they sent out. There was no such thing as time efficiency and the 1st guy even told me he would be back within 15 minutes. 2 HOURS later (and after several phone calls to locate him) he returned and couldn't even fix what he had started. It's a mess. Be smart and go with someone else
