I wish I read Yelp reviews and their F rating with the Better Business Bureau before I allowed Fidelity Home Warranty to send Boyle Plumbing to my house.

I had a problem with the garbage disposal - it wasn't grinding up food scraps and I had 3 back ups in two weeks. Ryan Boyd shows up. He ran the disposal for a couple of minutes and then calls out to me that he's ""almost done"". A minute later he tells me that I'm all set - he could fine no problem and the disposal works fine. I reiterated what the problem was and demonstrated by removing a fully intact lemon wedge from the disposal after running it for 10 seconds. His response - ""no disposal can grind a lemon wedge!"" He then told me to take it up with Fidelity and demanded $55 which I refused to pay. He stormed down my stairs and yelled that he'd get the $55 from me.

Rude, incompetent, argumentative.

I am surprised that Fidelity Home Warranty contracts with such a disreputable company.

I have AHS warranty and am so glad that I purchased this when I bought my house! I've used it a few times, and 2 of those were for pluming issues. Both expereinces with Boyle were great! I received a call to schedule my appointments quickly, the plumbers arrived in the window of time expected, they were professional, friendly, and knowledable and were able to fix my issues. In addition, they both went above and beyond to explain the issue, how to maintenance on my own, and made suggestions to improve my faucet! Ryan Boyd was very helpful and explained that the work he just did has a 30 day warranty - which is greatly appreciated! Thank you Boyle! If i have future plumbing problems, i will have no hesitation in using you again.

Really? You people call yourselves professionals. I believe the only reason this place stays afloat is because AHS contracts with them. If I had to deal with them outside of going through AHS, well I wouldn't deal with them. They DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH with there work and have HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The work they do is completely shoddy and unprofessional. Those of you who have been blessed with good work through them are either very lucky or just oblivious to a quick fix job. I cannot say enough horrible things about these people or file enough complaints to make myself feel better, I will continue to LOATHE on Boyle for years to come! If you have AHS and a plumbing issue I would take the payout and hire some other company to do the job.

I keep on putting off this review because I want to let things go with my experience with Boyle.

We were given our home warranty with American Home Shield as a ""gift"". It was about to expire (we hadn't used it) and the pipes in our home started to make a low, humming noise when water was in use. So, we figure... hey, let's use that warranty while it's still good! AHS referred us to Boyle.

That's where the trouble started.

Call, make an appointment for someone to check out the situation. It's not a big deal, but a part of our kitchen faucet needs replacing which is going to take 3-4 weeks because we have an old faucet, its European, etc. Fine. We write our $60 check and are prepared for noisy pipes for a month.

A month goes by. No word.

Then another month goes by. Someone calls from Boyle to check-in that our problem has been solved. As a matter of fact, it hasn't and we haven't heard from anyone. The person apologizes and promises to get back to us.

A month goes by. No word. No kidding.

So I call. Someone will get back to me.

No word.

I call a couple of weeks later. Somehow, our part has come in ""that morning""! How fortunate. A guy is coming out the next day.

Guy comes out. Guess what? It's the wrong part.

It might take a couple more weeks...

A few days later, they have a part that will work, but need to replace the handles as well on the faucet.

Fine.

The handles are CHEAP and UGLY. Oh yeah, a week after the guy replaced them one came off in my hand. I just cut my finger on the side of my new kitchen faucet handle.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.

I had problem after problem with this company. I talked to a different person in the office and every time, is was excuse after excuse. After getting a message the night before saying they had to cancel my appointment. I called the office and spoke with Rachel, she managed to call me back right when we she said she would, apologized for all the run around and then got me an appointment the same day. Strange because when I called before there was no way they could get someone out because the plumber had a van broke down (that was the same excuse they used last time) when the plumber came out he said he had to order parts and I should wait for a call back from them. I waited weeks called and called same old run around about a part person who I needed to talk to. Asked for Rachel again and got everything taken care of. Everything is fixed and the plumber was very fast. I wouldn't recommend them if you are in a hurry.

BBB score-F, 5 complaints filed

Had two appointments with Boyle. They were not able to fix the water heater during either appt. We were told the owner was going to come out on the second appt because they needed his expertise. But he didn't even come to the second appt. Of course they recommended something not covered by the warranty. I just researched them on the BBB and they have an F score with 5 filed complaints.EEK-Don't use them! Moving on to Peterson in Mill Valley or Reggie's in Novato.

We had to use these jerks because of our home warranty contract. What a debocle! They were at our house for all of 8 minutes. All they did was run a nasty dirty toilet brush under our hot water heater which wasn't even necessary since the filter wasn't dirty. They then claimed the hot water heater was under warranty even though it clearly said on the hot water heater that it had expired. We even later found out that the warranty would have been void when we bought the house anyways because it's a Kenmore hot water heater. So he argues with my husband insisting that it's under warranty and then takes it upon himself to call Kenmore claiming he's going to see if there are any recalled parts. Instead he places a service call for them to come out claiming it's underwarranty and telling my husband to lie to Kenmore about it even though it says right on the side of the hot water heater that it is out of warranty. Then he rudely jokes about us paying him $55 to be our secretary and leaves. They also tracked mud all over our pantry. The Kenmore tech comes out charges us $75 and tells us immediately that it is no longer under warranty! Luckily it looks like the home warranty company is going to take care of us and allow us to use the Kenmore tech and reimburse us the $75. I would never recommend anyone deal with these people they are unethical, lazy, dirty and don't deserve to have a business! We still are without hot water. Thank god it's summer!

Just plain bad. Same boat as some others, forced to use them by my insurance company. They did come when scheduled on Wednesday and did figure out the problem, a burnt out ejector pump, but bungled the order for a part. Claimed it was ordered on Wednesday and it would come in on Friday. On Friday morning they said the part would would come in that afternoon and be installed 3-5 pm. But turns out they did not take down the part number correctly, could not have ordered a part on Wednesday at all, and finally came out on Friday to get the right part number. In the meantime I had determined the part number, found out what it costs, and that it was in stock locally in Santa Rosa. And while they were getting the right part number, the job got a lot bigger, now involving an electrician. Price went from $522 on Wednesday, to $1542 late on Wednesday, to $2452 on Friday without the cost of the electrician included. So by Friday afternoon, they did not have the part and wouldn't start the job anyway until electrical work had been done and my sewage system remains unusable.

Im a Homeowner in Vallejo with Much the same story as others here, a contract with AHS, Called for leaking to my kitchen cieling noticed for several months whever someone used the master bath shower above the kitchen cieling. Then a home installation of a new American Standard toilet caused some real serious leaking to the same cieling zone below! we called AHS, they sent Boyle plumbing. The plumber Ryan arrived; he was courteous and timely fixed the minor toilet leak in a jiffy but had trouble with the shower faqucet which was a 20 year old fancy delta. Ryan accidentally broke it but re-ordered 1 to replace for another visit. the 2nd call had 1 glitch in sending out another Boyle guy who didn't have our part- but we co-operated with Boyles Seceratary/ Dispatcher and got Ryan Back out Today! I Requested an EARLY appt and Ryan Woke me Out of bed ! No Problem!! the Shower is now fixed and my co- pay was only $60 for what I consider 2 little Jobs!!
many people here state AHS and -or Boyle are shady or incompetent But i had Very Good Luck and despite scheduling glitches, Great Service when the appoitnment was made ON TIME!! THANKS RYAN & BOYLE!!
