Company Overview

Proudly serving the Gulf Coast since 1984.
Boyd Plumbing started in 1984 by our founder, James Boyd, who after years of experience decided that a family-centered life was more fulfilling than constant travel. Thus, Boyd Plumbing was established.
At first, Boyd Plumbing ran from our founder's home. Not long after opening, a close friend of Mr. Boyd suggested building a facility at his home in return for some plumbing services. That garage served as the initial office for Boyd Plumbing.
As the company expanded, in 2005, we launched Boyd Plumbing Residential to dedicate efforts to residential plumbing services. With continued growth, the company needed a larger facility to accommodate operations, so in 2016, Boyd Plumbing moved to 95 Stone Blvd in Cantonment, where our commercial and residential teams work together.

Boyd Plumbing scheduled an appointment for us to get our faucets replaced. They never showed up. When I called to find out where they were they wanted to reschedule. I declined the offer. I had already waited a week to get them out here at the time I scheduled. Obviously they never scheduled my appointment.

Boyd Plumbing did an excellent job in a timely manner and at a very reasonable cost. The work involved an unusual sink installation which another plumbing company declined to do after making a service call and seeing what was involved. The Boyd plumber and his assistant were courteous and professional and were careful to avoid soiling carpets and trim.

Would not Recommend!!!!! People at Boyd are nice as in the first review but that is where it stops. Two young men came and were at my place 7 hrs. Installed a new vanity and it was soo crooked. I ask the boy about it and he said his wrench slipped. Now onto the shower drain that was functional but wanted to spruce up my bathroom. The boy broke a nut under the drain as he was accessing it from under the house and stated he would have to cut a hole in my house. Seven hrs later and I told him I was concerned about the charge and he assured me they would work with me.They told me they would be back around 10 am the next day. I live 45 minutes away and they never showed up or called. I called the office and the supervisor knew nothing about it. The next day they sent two new boys out . They ran a piece of dryer vent from existing hole in floor about 4 ft. to outside dryer flap. Also installed a new tub faucet which I provided. They did have to cut a small window in the wall to access the plumbing.I called about my bill on 2 different occasions. Never heard from them until this past wk. Mind you, I check my mailbox and email daily. They are charging me $1,004 dollars and 85 cents. I left a message for the boss to call me. Haven't heard a word. I am a reasonable person who pays their bills and rarely ever complains but this is outrageous. I feel I have no recourse and am writing this review to let others know my story. Its the principle and lack of integrity that concerns me.

CALL THIS COMPANY FIRST!! They were on time, efficient, friendly, and knew their """"stuff"""" I called two of their competitors. Booked an appointment on the Wed. prior to the following Monday. Fifteen minutes after their two hour window, we called to find out they never entered us into the system! We had personal plans that afternoon that we had to cancel in order to wait for another plumber! SMH Called someone else, who did show that afternoon, however, encouraged me to spend $450.00 to replace my vintage faucet. He stated how difficult it would be to find parts and if he could, it would run $125. Boyd never left for parts and charged $99! I was extremely impressed! :-)

Boyd Plumbing did an excellent job. Relocated my washer box so I could move my laundry room. Very responsive. Showed up on time and got it done. Great service!

I start with a complement the people at this company are nice. But that is where it stops, I had several different plumbers come from this company and never fixed the problem. Hard to get of hold and nobody communicates with each other. Frustrated with dealing with them for over a month called another plumber to fix the job.

I recently gutted an urban apt in Pensacola and my prime contractor had Boyd Plumbing Company for his plumbing subcontractor. Basically, the Boyd plumbers on my custom job site; do not follow instructions from the Bontrager superintendent. They have repeatedly not followed instructions and have made permanent decisions on the job that are not theirs to make. For example, drilling holes and setting sinks in solid surfaces like quartz. Today was the last straw, and I ran them off my project. Wish I had canned them sooner before more damage was done. If you are a discriminating homeowner with a custom project; DON'T LET BOYD PLUMBING IN YOUR SPACE. They belong working around fiberglass tubs and vinyl floors; not anything custom or bold or pretty or otherwise not cookie-cutter. Maybe they could unclog a stopped up john, but take my word for it, don't let them near a high end custom job. The Boyd plumbers are like a run-away train; doing whatever the heck they wish with my plush finishes and high end fixtures. BTW, when I called and spoke with a Boyd, they acted like an entitled pompous family business owner sitting back on his laurels and disinterested in how his employees have impacted my custom design installation process. SO, WOULDN'T ADVISE CALLING BOYD FOR ANYTHING MORE INVOLVED THAN A STOPPED UP JOHN OR MAYBE SINK IF THERE IS NOTHING AROUND THE SINK THEY CAN DEFACE OR DESTROY. Hope this is helpful for those shopping a plumber.
