Have been using Boyd for years for a business and residential property for a/c and plumbing and are very satisfied. They're timely and professional. Rates seem competitive.

I had to have my ac and furnace replaced. It was a nightmare, however there were extenuating circumstances. The one being replaced was over 20 years old and my electrical wiring is even older. It took several visits to get the job done, although the ac was working very quickly and being summer that was a good thing. I wasn't in a hurry to get the heat done, as long as it was finished before winter, I was ok with that. The problem I had was that the techs didn't always have the information or parts that were needed on each visit, requiring them to make additional visits. Also, it seemed that information wasn't always getting to everyone taking the calls. In the end, all worked out and Stephanie is a gem to work with. My only advise to anyone using this company, is make sure you always talk to the same person. I prefer Stephanie. I'd give them a 5 for effort, a 2 for being prepared. I conveyed my concerns and I will give them another chance.

Horrible experience with this plumber. The pipes were backing up into the house. The plumber came out and said he would snake the line and push out whatever had it blocked. After a few hours he did this and said there was nothing in the line that the tank needed cleaned out, which they do not do. He said everything would be fine now we just need to clean out the tank. The next day the house is flooding again. The plumber returns and says the same thing as before. HE DID NOTHING. We received a bill for over $500 for him to tell us that the line was clogged. After calling the office the woman on the phone told us that if we would have told her that the pipe was clogged at the septic tank they would not have even came out as they dont work on tanks. IF WE KNEW THAT THE LINE WAS CLOGGED AT THE TANK WE WOULD NOT HAVE NEEDED TO CALL THEM, BUT WE ARE NOT PLUMBERS. All in all we paid the guy to come out and tell us there was a clog, which we knew already as the house was flooding.

I called them out three weeks ago to repair and a/c unit. They changed the the capacitor and charged me over $200 and recommended that i change the control board for the unit (this would be an additional $600). I had a friend that trouble shoots controls rule out the control board. They said they would charge me another another diagnostic fee if they came out again and found something else that was wrong. I paid the diagnostic fee three weeks ago and they miss diagnosed the problem. I had to contact a manufactured certified company to diagnose the problem. The reality is that the unit was low on coolant and coil was leaking coolant....I would strongly suggest to not use this company for A/C repairs, unless you want to pay for each guess they make trying to solve the problem.

I was very upset with this company and their lack of concern for giving us help with our air conditioning unit at our rental property. The unit broke on a Sat afternoon. I called immediately with the hopes of getting someone out immediately. I got an answering service who said they would have someone contact as soon as possible. Well that wasn't until the following day. They informed us that they don't come on the weekends and would be out on Monday morning. (this was late sunday) At noon on Monday they call to say that they would not be able to come tip TUESDAY ! My tenants have now been without airconditioning for 48 hours ! I canceled with BOYD Heating and Plumbing and called Bamfetti and they IMMEDIATELY had someone go over to the house and fixed the unit. I would NEVER recommend BOYD this company to anyone.

On Tuesday, October 30, 2018, my air condition unit went out, so I began to search for a repair service. I recently moved back to my hometown after being away for 43 years; so I wasn't familiar with a lot of air condition services. When I returned, I used the one that had installed the unit for my parents, when the house was built, but when I called for an estimate to find out what the problem was, the cost for the diagnostics, was a bit much per hour. I then called one of my sisters, to ask who they used, and immediately she said, ""We use Boyd. They are good."" They gave me the phone number. The first company, suggested that I check my fuse box first. After performing the fuse box check, I saw everything was in place, so I knew that wasn't the problem. Well, the weekend was coming, so, Friday, November 2nd, I called Boyd, and spoke with the Administrative Assistant, namely Kelly, who was AWESOME. She told me it wouldn't be that day, due to the rain. She, like the other company, asked if I had checked the fuse box, and I told her I did, but my son was going to come that afternoon and make sure. He came, and told me it wasn't the fuse box.
I called back on Saturday, November 3rd, thinking the office was open. I spoke to John, working the desk that weekend. He was very nice and concerned. He told me the office was closed, but he could get a message to Kelly. He did, and she called me. An appointment was scheduled for Monday, November 5th, because of the constant rainy weather, and they would not be able to come out to check outside, to see what was going on in the unit.
I received a call on the day of my appointment, from I think, Angie, I'm not sure, but the caller, who was very nice, asked if I would like an earlier time, because of how timely things were going. Now, to me, that is noteworthy, because she didn't have to do that. I greatly appreciated that, and took the revised time.
Boyd's Home Service Tech Josh, who was very professional and pleasant, arrived timely on Monday, November 5th, and started to diagnose what was going on.
Long story short, the Lawn Service had caused the problem. When I contacted the Lawn Service that had just cut my yard on October 30th, Josh spoke to him to explain what he found. He, Josh, was so professional on how he handled the situation. My unit is working very well, thanks to Josh and his ""Teamwork,"" attitude and effort.
Kudos! Kelly, John, Angie and Josh. Keep doing what you do!

We had a plumbing issue in our new house on a Saturday night. We turned off the water and called on Sunday Morning and were told that they would send someone Monday afternoon. The guy they sent had never seen a well system before, stating that he normally works in New Orleans and they don't have wells there.
He turned the water back on and could not see an issue, so he charged us $90 for the 5 minute he was here and left. He did quote us an outrageous $485 to install a new vanity I bought into our 1/2 bath and $375 to change out our kitchen sink and faucet. I'll be doing those things myself and saving the $800 think you very much!

NEVER use this company. Came, made, in their words ' a simple repair ' for $250 to a/c unit. The house never cooled down, called back within hours. They needed another $144 to come out on Saturday to fix something that should have been fixed from the beginning, use them at your own risk, try ANY one else.

When our central a/c went out, I called Boyd. They came out the next day and told us that the interior portion of the a/c needed to be replaced, which cost over $3K. Once that was done (it took three days for the repair), the house still would not cool down. They came back out and said there were holes in the coils of the outdoor unit, and that it would need replacing, as well. We negotiated a deal with them and agreed to replace it, thinking we would have a/c within a couple of days. Not so! It took them over TWO WEEKS to finish the work, while we were dying of heat in July. Their excuse was that they were busy.

I would not call these people for any reason. They are overpriced and the techs were rather rude. One of the them even tried to extort me for even MORE money, saying he would get it finished faster if I gave him $40 cash
