As the third-generation owner, Brian leads Bovio Rubino Service with his partner Angela Rubino, continuing the family legacy.
Brian has two decades of experience in heating and air conditioning, along with a wealth of knowledge to elevate our service standards.
In 2001, Brian earned his BA in Economics with a Business Minor from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, graduating with honors. Brian spent time in corporate roles with Fortune 500 companies and the Federal Government, where he acquired valuable knowledge about operational efficiency and customer service.
Brian recognized that while he enjoyed his corporate role, his true calling was in the family HVAC business, which led him back to work with his father and ultimately buy the business.

Carolyn H.This company has the worst customer service!!! And their dispatch men are the most rudest people!!! Very quick to charge for the dispatch...the minute they arrive they do nothing. How is it they do a a diagnostic without even bending down to see what's happening. Never have I ever dealt with such company. I just paid for their gas!! Talk about giving money away to good for nothing people.
Our kitchen sink is clogged and I called Bovio Rubino Service for help. They stated that a charge of $77.44 + Tax service fee (Dispatching fee) will be collected which I agreed to pay. I asked for a quote over the phone in which the operator(Nameless she knows who she is) said they were not allowed to give since it needs a diagnose by the Technician. The technicians arrived and I stated what I have done but the sink it still clogged. The Technician stated that I need to pay ~$350. I asked if this is negotiable and he said no. Then the technician added that if I declined to the service I needed to pay $65 for them showing up.
I declined because this was not stated in my conversation. So the technician played my recorded conversation and put pressure on me saying that I had to pay them.
They didn't performed any work, the diagnose they performed was listening to me. No physical action from their part. Then they tried to force me to pay up.
If you call this company get a quote no matter what service they provide or else they will take advantage and try to force to pay for service they didn't perform.
I'm very upset with this company. I don't trust them and neither should you. They wasted my time.
25 years old Central Air died and I feared the worst. Several other companies would not look at it due to age. But Bovio Rubino came out right away. They sent a text with Jake Bair's picture to expect him for safety. Jake was great with fast diagnosis and found a way to work around by re-wiring the thermostat in order to butt around a defective switch within the condenser, which I thought was inventive. This kept the cost of repair to a bare (Bair?) minimum. Jake even did a complimentary health check and charge check. Jake was very professional and kept me informed along the way. Got a customer for life. Thanks!
Billy K.Called to have them come out for a clogged toilet. They had come out 5 days previous and unclogged it and said everything was ok and 5 days later the exact thing happened again. We called them and when they came out they said that it is a ""chargeable"" visit as they do not warranty clogs. My wife and I both though it was ridiculous that they would charge for a problem they said they fixed 5 days ago and voiced our displeasure but both clearly stated we would pay what we needed to as we needed the toilet fixed. The plumber, Steven, who came out was rude to both my wife in person and to myself from the second he showed up. After the phone call where I told the plumber we were not happy with being charged but would do what we needed to do, my wife said with the plumber went outside to make a phone call. When he came back in he told her they would charge the $82 charge for coming out and wouldn't charge anything extra to fix it. He intimidated her and told her the only way they would do that is if she payed the $82 right then and not after the toilet was fixed. As she was intimidated and scared and home alone with the guy, she paid. He said he was going out to get a few things from his truck and drove away. The toilet was still clogged!!!!
I called the main office and finally got the manager, Jim, on the phone with me to tell him what happened and his response was ""I find that hard to believe as I already talked to Steven and he told me his side of the story and you declined the repair.""
We are the clients, we never said we didn't want the toilet fixed, and my wife was made to feel intimidated and scared at our own house. Who would have a company come out to fix a clogged toilet and then elect NOT to have the toilet fixed???? I would NEVER recommend using this company. The management was just as rude to me as the plumber was to both myself and my wife.
Extremely honest business. They were able to recommend a fix to me that didn't cost me any money. That takes true character. I will definitely use them in the future for my plumbing needs because of their willingness to help vs. make a profit off someone in immediate need. Thank you so much for your help!
I had water in my basement a few months ago. The man who came out charged me 250.for a clog in an ac pipe. The next day the same problem happened. Rubino would not come out and check it again without my paying another400. I called another company and they said it was the same problem that was supposed to be fixed by Rubinho for the 250! He's a crook.
Caution, I did not use this company, my neighbor did. However, Rubino decided to use my outside hose spigot without my permission. My neighbor (not Rubino) tracked me down later in the day to tell me that the spigot was broke/ when Rubino's worker went to turn it off, it wouldn't stop running? Meanwhile the sidewalk and entire front yard(s) were pooling with water. I contacted Rubino (they should've called me)....to make a long story short, their plumber went into the wall to find that our pipes were rotted. We asked him (Mike, owner) to please fix it (we offered to pay fir materials and labor)...he flat our refused? So, I now have a broken outside faucet that no longer functions and I will hire a plumber to replace the spigot!
They installed new ac unit 1 yr labor 10 yrs parts. Unit stopped working due to thermostat. Parts covered labor covered. Still charged me $160. They only honor warranty from 9-5 5 days a week. Thermostat went bad carrier will replace under warranty and pay them $150. To install it. They want to charge me $300 for labor to replace. I have replaced them before half hour tops. I spoke to a Mike he gave me the $300 labor charge. And Angela who claims to be the owner is one of the most ignorant woman I have ever spoken to. Very trashy. Have seen a lot of bad reviews on them lately. Now I see why
Noel S.Over priced. Charged like 40% more than normal and they didnt get the job done. So they came back and still didnt get it done. A third visit finally, I had to go to Home Depot and buy the washers they needed.
Do not use them. A waste of money and time. Stick to the experienced plumbers in town.
Started this review and would have given 4 stars. Glad I decided to wait and see how everything played out. Do not recommend. Bottom line they take advantage of the season to jack prices up 60-75%. That's if you can get them to respond to you. This really disappointed me that I was able to find a more responsive local contractor to do the same job, once, and for 3500 less than their ""discounted"" price. Even checked prices against other contractors, supply houses and average costs both date and US. 3500-5000 over average. Their ""quotes"" were higher than the highest quoted numbers in the US
