Stephani Kelley came to the house to give an estimate for a new furnace. She was professional, timely, courteous, and very knowledgeable. I appreciate her candidness and honesty.
While my husband decided to go with another company, what kept Boulden in the running (process of elimination, Boulden made it to the top 2) was Stephani. Boulden was truthful, they weren't the cheapest, nor were they the most expensive. I believe they are competitively priced.

I have been a customer for 15 years, Got new HVAC system from them and used all of their services. I called last week because I keep smelling something from my vent and told them that my 10 YO A/C system is working fine, but probably just needs a tune up. They told me that the first available appointment was at the end of Aug, 6 weeks away! I guess that they are not interested in small jobs anymore. No prob, I called Wegman Bros and even though I was a brand new customer, they were out the next day I will use them from now on.

The technicians were friendly, professional and courteous. They arrived early and worked tirelessly until the job was completed. They cleaned up their mess and practically left the area spotless.

dont fall for their specials. they are no better than the full-service prices of others. dont fall for their service plans they are worthless. dont fall for their claim that they take better care of obtaining permits...not so.

Do NOT choose Boulden Brothers for your propane company. I've been a customer for about six years now and have had to deal with their billing and customer service people at least yearly. I've been on automatic delivery and monthly payments the whole time. They change the amount I pay every year based upon usage and anticipated pricing. This makes perfect sense, however their method for arriving at a number is somewhat like spinning a magic wheel. My monthly payment went from $140 to $385 last year. I have three tanks and consistent usage. I also have a tank for my heated swimming pool. If I don't need a full 250 gallon delivery in a year they charge me $100 fee. This regardless of the fact that I have two other tanks that they've been filling! They've let me run out twice and they're impossible to deal with.

They install a furnace last year for someone I know who ask me to oversee the property for her because she lives in another state... I subsequently saw where they cut a huge hole into the living room wall next to the furnace room, supposedly to supply air to the furnace instead of piping it from the outside... This is dangerous because if the furnace is ever compromised it could instead pump Carbon monoxide back through the same hole into the living room and the rest of the house causing illness and death...

Also one of the vent is having an issue and they were paid to investigate and they could not identify where the breach was in the vent line...

They are yet to return the money for the evaluation or repair the hole...

We have used Boulden for years. I have not had any issues. We needed a weekend call due to our AC not working in midsummer heat. Got a call and text when the technician was on the way. Phillip fixed all of the issues to get our system up and running. All of the technicians that have been to our home are clean, professional, and personable.

We had a guy who claimed to be some type of ""regional manager"", come to our house to tell us why our 5 year old AC system wasn't working. We just bought the house 7 months ago and the system worked when we moved in but wasn't cooling once we started using it this year. He spun us this whole tale about the compressor being bad because the system didn't have gauges and couldn't regulate itself. His solution was for us to either pay $3800 for a new compressor or just over $5000 for a new system (which of course was his recommendation). He ""apologized"" repeatedly for giving us such bad news. We decided to wait and get another opinion before we committed to spending so much money. My husband bought a $15 capacitor off of amazon, replaced it in 15 minutes, and our system works perfectly. We paid $100 for their diagnostics. Most angry that they wouldn't try the simple solution before recommending a replacement on a very young system! Would not call them again!

I have had issues with my Heating systems in the past. Of the few times I did call Boulden the technicians were courteous, knowledgeable and thorough. Cleaning up after themselves and wearing shoe covers each and every time they entered my home. Arriving on time as well.
