Jeffrey L G.Buyer beware ! Boulden Brothers do not honor their warranty. After just five years a complete HVAC system that they installed for me failed. They told me that the 12 year warranty that they sold me with the system was no longer valid because I had sold the home to my daughter. At no time did Boulden tell me that the warranty was non-transferrable and this was never mentioned in any conversations, e-mails or on the contract that I signed for the installation of the system. Their solution ? Spend $ 16,0000.oo to replace the entire system.
dj b.This crew is great. Honest, straight talk every time. 4 different guys over different jobs. Same result. Great work and consistently professional, smart, and honest crew.
they came to do job i requested, priced the job $2400. to make a long story short i completed the job the problem is fixed for $6.00. if you call the guys to do a job make sure you have a pocket full of money.
Crew is always polite and the work is done correctly. Boulden has done other work which I thought was reasonable enough but today ticked me off. The pricing structure is highway robbery for some items. Price quote to replace a toilet supply valve was $300.00. Parts including line from valve to toilet and valve would be no more than $15.00 and time to replace maybe 30-40 minutes. $99 just to show up and $200 labor. I will look elsewhere next time. I sent them home. The reason I called them was afraid hard pipe from wall might be compromised and that would be a mess for me but at $300 for a minor job they can just go prey on old ladies who don't know any better. Maybe that is their business model.
I needed an attic fan replaced. I believe in keeping it local so I called Boulden. The appointment was made for 3 weeks out at 8:00 am (You'll be the first appointment). The technician arrived at 10:25 am. He assessed the job and gave me a quote which I agreed to (I am not an electrician). The job required replacing the fan motor and a new thermostat. The technician was professional and personable and completed the job in about 90 minutes. After the job I became curious and did a search for the items he installed. About $100.00 total for both pieces. I post this knowing I should have done this beforehand. My total bill was $762.00. Grossly overcharged. Hopefully this will assist someone in the future when considering this company.
Michelle K.Quoted a job then didn't do the job as quoted. They were hired for a whole house pipe replacement. They left old plumbing in place because they 'ran out of time' and wanted to charge for another call. They left trash everywhere and didn't clean up after themselves my dog found a connector to chew on- lovely. Had a leak spring a half hour they left and another larger leak 2 days later. The answer was well it was under pressure- they never tested any of the lines ( we know this as air was in the lines) lines that wee cross threaded, original guy they sent was snippy and defensive when trying to have a civil conversation. Had to call a manager to get the rest of the plumbing finished and gone over. Never any follow up from manager to see if second go around was any better if we were pleased with how it was handled, nothing. They came so highly recommended and we are nothing but disappointed. Customer service is NOT their top priority. Give your plumbing needs to the little guy.
Walt is simply outstanding. I don't know about these negative reviews but everything he has done plumbing wise for us has stood up. He remembers what he did for us when I have him come back (we are updating fixtures) and asks how it is holding up. He always makes sure that we know how it all operates; he is polite and very gracious - wearing booties and a mask, keeping socially distant but still explaining everything. I've used him for a couple of years now and I won't have anyone else do work for us. I had to wait 12 days this time with a shower handle my son broke but I didn't care; Walt is worth the wait. A really great plumber and all around wonderfully nice man.
Called for emergency service for a leak at 7:30pm Saturday. Received call back they were booked through the weekend.
Maria B.Stephani Kelley came to the house to give an estimate for a new furnace. She was professional, timely, courteous, and very knowledgeable. I appreciate her candidness and honesty.
While my husband decided to go with another company, what kept Boulden in the running (process of elimination, Boulden made it to the top 2) was Stephani. Boulden was truthful, they weren't the cheapest, nor were they the most expensive. I believe they are competitively priced.
I have been a customer for 15 years, Got new HVAC system from them and used all of their services. I called last week because I keep smelling something from my vent and told them that my 10 YO A/C system is working fine, but probably just needs a tune up. They told me that the first available appointment was at the end of Aug, 6 weeks away! I guess that they are not interested in small jobs anymore. No prob, I called Wegman Bros and even though I was a brand new customer, they were out the next day I will use them from now on.
