Caveat Emptor is the watch word not just for this company but for every service company out there.
Here is my coaching to buyers out there:
1. Have the service company list, in writing, the part name, manufacturer, number and estimated cost they will charge you for the part(s). Why? because service co's can and will charge over 400% mark up on a part. Take a moment to Google the part and the cost. Educate yourself.
2. The Labor costs. Get a second opinion. You may be charged $200 for 15 minutes it takes to replace a part (that's $800/hr.)
To service companies:
1.Honesty and fairness builds a long term relationship. Being fair with clients mean they always come back to you.
2. It costs a lot less to re-sell your services over and over than lose a customer and have to re-acquire a new one.

I called Boudreau Plumbing late yesterday afternoon to set up a service call. They said their employee Glenn would come to my home between 11 a.m. and noon today. He actually arrived at 10:30 a.m., and proceeded to look at what was needed and take care of the problems - the major one, leaking kitchen sink and need for new garbage disposal, and the minor one of a leaky bathroom faucet. He explained what he was doing, gave me advice on some other less pressing issues, and provided paperwork for the new disposal when I asked for same. I mentioned to him that I had called their company about another issue a while back - broken heater over a holiday weekend. On that occasion, they informed me that they really had no openings for a few days, but they also called back to check if I had found someone. Glenn told me they do check on such things. The price was reasonable (though not cheap), but good customer service is worth every penny.

Would absolutely recommend Boudreau. Our two year old, 28 gallon Rheem went out and they came out within two hours of my call. Didn't charge for the parts and said they'd do all the warranty paperwork. Val was the plumber and he was so nice and understanding. Two days later my grandfather's water heater went out and I called them based on my experience earlier in the week. They came out the next morning and completely replaced his water heater including a new ball/gate valve for under $1500 (quoted during the call to schedule). Didn't upsell him at all. He was thrilled since his neighbor spent over $2400 for the same heater in the same location. Mary is super helpful, kind, and considerate. Everyone we've dealt with has been great. Will definitely use them again.

Called Boudreau to get a second opinion on a problem I'm having with a Bryant air conditioning unit installed by another company in October. Friendly on the phone, set and kept an appointment the same day. Listened to my issues, checked the system, made recommendations. I asked how much they would charge to fix the problem. They said anything they did might void the warranty from the company that did the original installation and I should call the other guy again. I was impressed by their friendliness, knowledge, professionalism and integrity. Machines being what they are, having someone you can trust to call is critical. These guys put the customer in customer service. Sorry I didn't know about them BEFORE having a system installed. Call them first.

Great service by Val! After being disappointed by another plumbing company not showing up 2 weekends in a row, I had a great experience with Boudreau. First called them out to replace a garbage disposal. The woman in the office (who answered the phone) was so nice and professional and Val, the plumber was very nice and respectful. I then had him come back and replace my water heater. I feel the price was fair and I appreciate they give you an appointment time not a 2-4 hour window. I will use them again!

I gotta commend these guys. They made a mistake at first but they owned up to it and did the right thing. They are easy to reach and really have integrity.

Standard casual Yelper preface - I rarely take the time to write a review on Yelp but this one was worth the effort.
We have been using Boudreau Plumbing & Heating as required for years now and I cannot say how much I trust and appreciate their services. From plumbing issues, minor to major (thanks Val) and most recently Dan and his team helping replace our aging furnace. The team is professional, trustworthy, timely, honest and most importantly does what they say they will do with quality and integrity. For me, its not a question of who to call when I need plumbing or heating services, only to do it. They are always responsive and even make sure the same professional is back for future requests which helps so much with knowing the house and what we need done.
Bottom line - I can't recommend any team more highly than Boudreau, its just that easy to work with them and having a vendor like this to trust is of great piece of mind to any homeowner. Thanks Boudreau team!

I needed a plumber to fix an issue that needed to be inspected within a day..Paul had someone out that day and came to follow up so the inspection would go well..
They did a super job and as a realtor I will always recommend them..
Thanks Boudreau plumbing for making my life easier..

I needed to replace my 14-year old natural gas water heater, and wanted a highly energy efficient model. I had ruled out tankless water heaters, so was focused on natural gas water heaters. If I could find a reasonably priced replacement with a .67 Energy Factor (EF) or higher, I'd receive a $200 credit from PG&E for meeting the EPA requirement.
However, after getting estimates from 3 water heater experts, I learned that the only way I could achieve the .67 EF or higher was by having an electric outlet installed nearby, so that the heater could utilize a ""power vent"". The cost for the outlet installation was $400, which was too much for my budget.
Boudreau was the lowest-priced estimate, so I chose them, and was very pleased. They responded quickly, provided honest expert advice, and installed the new gas water heater promptly. Since the Bay Area Air Quality District requires all new gas water heaters to meet pretty stringent Nitrous Oxide emissions, the new water heater is at least cleaner than most.
I strongly recommend Boudreau for their excellent customer service, including explaining technical issues to me (a layperson) in easy to understand terms. They are very responsive, price competitive, and experts at what they do. Kudos to Val and Glenn!

Responded to our call in less than an hour. Took the job that no other plumber would and unclogged the sewer line within 2 hours. Val was not willing to give up on a very difficult job! Thank you Val! My Daredevil!
