Jerry came through for us. Every facility in our home was backed up and he sent us help right away and spent a lot of time going over what was needed and why. So glad we called him. Nothing seems so urgent as plumbing issues when it raises its angry little head. Thank you, Botham Plumbing for saving the day yesterday!

I had a blocked kitchen drain late at night, and called Botham to see if I could get an appointment for the next day. I got an answering machine, and left a message. I then got another plumber who answered and made an appointment. I called Botham back to tell him never mind, This time he picked up, and before I could say anything he said ""Please stop calling. It's too late to be calling.""

What kind of a plumber doesn't have an answering service for emergency calls?

Spoke with a man who seemed confused when I called. Didn't seem professional either. And then told me there were too many calls before me so he couldn't handle my job. I wouldn't use or trust someone like this.

Well, I would NOT use these people if you have a fairly new heater that probably only needs repair. These guys wanted to charge me $300 for a service call and 145 for every hour thereafter. Then I learned all he wanted to do was to see me a brand new unit for 2200$. Had excellent and inexpensive repair service done by Universal.

I had a great experience with them on 10/6/15. Needed a few repairs done asap before some guests arrived. I called my usual plumbers. They couldn't come due to heavy work loads. I searched on Yelp for Santa Monica plumbers. Botham was the first result. I called them after seeing their great rating. Jerry picked up the phone himself, right away. I explained my situation. He said he would be at my place in one hour--nice.

Jerry and his guy arrived ahead of schedule. When I answered the door, Jerry introduced himself and presented his business card--very professional. They came right in and got to work, explaining their schedule was full and they didn't have a lot of time. They invited me to stay engaged as they carried out the repair work. Why? Because they felt it was important for me to understand what was happening so I could a) understand the cause of my issues and b) maybe fix them myself next time. Nice. I can't recall the last time a repair man bothered to educate me. Jerry unclogged one of my bathroom sinks then had me do the other one so I knew how to do it myself the next time. Of course, this took up more of his time. I appreciated his patience.

One of my issues was related to half-ass work done by a previous plumber. He explained the way it should have been done then showed me how. It involved a time-consuming process of removing bathroom cabinet drawers so he could properly tighten a joint, something the other guy didn't take the time to do, resulting in a leak.

Even though Jerry explained up front that he only had a limited amount of time, he was kind to accommodate a few ""oh, by the way"" requests I didn't mention on the phone. It was as if he took pride in restoring the plumbing in my home to his own personal standards. I appreciated this.
At the end, he presented and clearly explained his bill. The price was more than fair, given the great service and education I received. I highly recommend this shop.

P.S. I even called Jerry back later that day to ask a question unrelated to the repairs he did. Again, Jerry picked up his own phone when I called and patiently helped me through the issue.

Jerry is fantastic! I had an issue on a Sunday afternoon and he was on sight trouble shooting it within 30 minutes. And he felt super honest too. Highly recommend!!!
