This past week was my third time bringing in Warren and his team at Boss Plumbing and Heating for emergency plumbing work. Each time, I've ended up hiring them for additional projects because I've been so pleased with their professionalism, reasonable prices, timely work, and the overall ease of working with them. It is always a no brainer to call them. This most recent time, I had a pipe freeze and they helped me safely thaw it without recommending any kind of drastic, unnecessary cutting into cabinets etc. They also recommended easy to implement steps to help prevent a freeze in the future. I needed to replace my water heater when it was on its last legs and needed a new faucet installed in a bathroom, so I was happy to use the opportunity to have them do those projects after they helped me resolve the emergency call for the frozen pipe with ease. Other times, I've used them for emergency pipe leaks and broken valves. I recommend Boss to my neighbors and friends in the area already, and I absolutely recommend them for honest, reasonably priced, professional work when you need it done--especially when time is a factor!

For one thing, the lack of transparency is appalling. I asked for a quote to install a new toilet thinking that it was leaking & the plumber without looking at the toilet closely, said it would be $900. The woman on the phone said it would be around $450 or so with the $90 service fee applied toward it. When I objected, he tried to say that that brand of toilet was the reason for the price. He reduced the price to half when I reminded him that toilets come in several price points!
I refuse to do business with them. No star at all if possible.

I should have been suspicious of same day availability. I was quoted $549 over the phone to unclog the sewer drain and then was charged over $1300 despite being unable to unclog. He recommended that the entire sewer pipe be excavated for around $30,000 with financing available of course. The next day a different company came to look at the situation and they were able to get things fixed and running for around $200 using typical tools. Avoid this company at all costs.

Had the drain pipe in my row home break and become clogged with dirt, causing sewage to back up into my basement. Warren and his crew responded same day and came over to do an estimate.
They unclogged the drain and completely cleaned and sanitized my basement, allowing us to move back into the home.

Warren communicated quickly and effectively, and we will be using him to replace the broken pipe going to the sewer

Would highly recommend Boss plumbing to anyone and everyone! I blew up my garbage disposal on a sunday afternoon and they came out within a few hours and found a much bigger issue with my pipes. They were open and honest through everything and were able to come and fix everything on Monday. Throughout the whole experience they explained everything and found ways to get things done the right way without charging me an arm and a leg. Will be calling Boss Plumbing for all future plumbing needs!

I had a small leak in bathtub faucet and needed someone to replace the cartridge for me. I already had the part from Kohler. Something simple and straightforward. Someone from Boss Plumbing quoted me a price ($459) that's well over 2X of all the other(7) plumbers on Yelp. Maybe he thought this was an emergency and felt he could overcharge, or maybe the job was too simple and they wanted to overcharge. Whatever the reason, I don't like it when businesses tries to take advantage of you.
