Thank you! Thank you! Thank you. If anyone has been thru the horror of having National Grid to shut down your gas. it is truly awful. When i called and spoke to James and discussed my situation. He was said a time and he showed up. We walked and discussed in detail and he conduct a inspection. He gave me the steps to resolving the issues and very reasonable price. We made the deal and he showed up the next and the ball started rolling. As we moved forward it was obvious that James was a man of his word. Fast forward my nightmare is in the rear view mirror. I can't review their work. I called them to take over a job and the said they would review current status online. When they called me back it didn't seem like they had looked into the job. However they seem confident that they could do it. Their rate is the same rate I pay my construction lawyer so that gives you an idea.

I've had horrible experiences with just about every contractor, so I was surprised that these guys were actually nice and reasonably responsive. They also were the preferred plumber for my waste disposal company, which saved me some time and money when I had to go through a warranty claim.

I had a terrible experience with Boris Mechanical. My bathroom faucet was dripping. First, I called to schedule an appointment. They took my credit card number. I would not suggest giving this company your credit card number until a job has been completed. Scheduling was a little rough, I had to call back, but that was OK. What was not OK was the guy who arrived at my apartment. He had no tools when he arrived. He said his boss had his tools. I left him alone for a few minutes to do his thing with the faucet. I then see that he is banging on the top of the faucet (which is attached to the wall) with his hand. I stop him from doing this and find out that he has no idea what he is doing because it's a modern faucet. He ends up removing silicone from where the hot and cold handles are attached to the wall, leaving these worse off than when he arrived.

He calls his boss who says he will send someone else who has the skill to fix modern faucets. I never get a follow up call and my follow up call is ignored.

I have worked with Boris Mechanical for plumbing a few times and have been extremely happy pleased. They are very friendly, reasonably priced and send a plumber in a quick timely manner which is always a plus. The Boris Mechanical team answered all of my questions and provided prompt and courteous fix that. This is on all ends of their business. Doing a gut rehab on a 4 family property and these guys quoted me $2,500 - $3,000 per fixture, which includes time and materials for all rough in work and labor to install all fixtures.

This is at least double other quotes I've received and triple in some cases....I've only been requesting quotes from plumbers that have been referred by other developers.

Avoid these bandits unless you have very deep pockets!

I had a great experience with Boris Mechanical. I arrived at work on Sunday morning (February, 2015) to find an inch of water covering our floor. I called and a live person answered the phone. They were able to send a technician over in about an hour (pretty good for a Sunday!). The technician was very nice and efficient. The water had already covered a large area of our basement and was seeping out from underneath walls in multiple places. He diagnosed our problem very quickly (a busted and leaking water heater), but still completed a thorough inspection of the building to confirm. He was extremely patient with me, even when I was not exactly sure where the shut off for the main water line was. (He found it!) The technician removed the water, picked up and installed the new water heater and tested it to make sure it was working all within the same day. The building I work in is a Landmark building, so we were extremely grateful for Boris Mechanical's professionalism and efficiency. If the problem had not been resolved so quickly, we could have had a lot of structural issues and water damage. I definitely recommend this company.

Boris Mechanical fixed my plumbing problem on the same day in extraordinary circumstances and was the cheapest too.
I was abroad and had a renter when the bath started to clog up. Over five hours looking for someone to fix it affordably from a reputable service I found Boris. As I was both negotiating with others and trying to set times via email up Boris responded to each email within twenty minutes even before I had decided to go with them. In the end I saved 150 dollars and got the job done by 6:00pm that same evening. Incredible life-saver for me.
