I live in a 25-year-old house that is falling apart around my ears. The good folks at Bonney Plumbing have come to my rescue more than once. Yesterday, the plumber sent to my house was Jody Tea. Jody was friendly and professional and quickly resolved the problem--and for a good price. For peace of mind and a positive experience during a trying time, Jody and his co-workers can't be beat.

Reposting as my review was deleted. Wanted to inform all yelpers..

Our experience with Bonney was not good.
Bonney essentially reversed their decision to do the work after providing us a $500 quote to add a new gas line (15 feet or so) to our house existing natural gas outlet for our BBQ.
Bonney confidently claimed they can trench under the 4 ft concrete walk way (5 inch or so thick), lay the pipe, and avoid the pipes to the pool that may be under the concrete. Says he need to firmed up the quote with his manager but the cost should be in the $500 ball park. To which we accepted the quote and Bonney left us with the impression that they would provide the service (if not why provide the quote). In the meantime, we had other gas installer/contractor came out. All said the same as Bonney -- that the work is normal , they have done the same before, but their estimates were much higher. We rejected their bids based on Bonney's.
I called Bonney after sveral days of not hearing back. The same Bonney rep that came out told me on the phone Bonney can not do the work due to the liability of digging under the concrete and hitting the pipes (hogwash per my conversation with above contractors). Says they can do the work if the trenches were dug, but quickly expressed I might was well do the work if trench is dug. I took the opp to ask what is Bonneys new quote if the trench is dug and they just lay the pipe. He says he will need to talk to his manager and will get back to me. Havent heard from Bonney since.
My conclusion is that Bonney is inexperience in the gas line installation business or realized their quote was inaccurate and avoid talking to us. We expected once a quote is offered and accepted, Bonney should honor it. Recommend you look to another vendor other than Bonney.

Bonney provided exceptional service. Jim Smith was our technician and went above and beyonf what we could have expected. We needed signifant repairs and Jim did an amazing job diagnosing and repairing the problem. He kept us informed every step of the way and did all he could to minimize any inconvenience to us.

Thank you Bonney and tech, LUPE ESPINOZA, for a job well done. After experiencing a tub drip/dribble in my 60+ year old house for over a year, I finally decided it was time to fix the problem. At the same time, I began having drainage problems in the kitchen as well as needing to replace some old pipe in the kitchen. Lupe diagnosed the drainage problem and created a plan to rebuild the ""pre-war"" parts in the tub to resolve the drip. His dedication to the project was amazing, even when there were two trips needed to the parts place to find the necessary old parts. In addition to the clog located just beyond the kitchen sink that was cleared, he also found some blockages in the main drain that he suspected might be a City problem. Although Lupe's day started at my place at 10am, he stuck around until 7:30 pm to wait out City workers and discuss the problem with them. I really appreciated his willingness to do that instead of leaving me to try and ""talk technical"" with City employees -- definitely not my forte. These and a few other little extras thrown in were well worth the price I paid for the job. The quotes were fair from the start and didn't later change ""due to unexpected circumstances"".
Warm and personable, it was a delight to chat with Lupe as he worked. He's very easy to talk to, gives full explainations of work to be done and alternatives, and always has a few good stories to share along the way. I'm glad he's ""assigned"" to my place should have have any futher plumbing issues. Lupe gets a full ***** 5 STARS *****.
My only reason for the overall 4 star rating is due to the scheduling of the job. Athough this wasn't an emergency, I am a BAM member and part of that includes ""priority scheduling""; it was a full week and a half from the time I called to the time Lupe could come address my issues. That amount of time to wait just doesn't seem to match up to a ""priority scheduling"" definition.
I would definitely recommend Bonney to others.

I'm blown away with this company! I called last night and this morning 8:30 am sharp Mark showed up at my doorstep. i will definitely refer him in the future. Very professional, fast and just exceeded my expectations.
Great guy to deal with especially for a slab leek in which he has thirteen years of experience. Again-HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Thanks, Vitaliy Ivanov, for doing a good job for our heating maintenance as part of the BAM program! appreciate the heads up on what is needed to keep our system tuned up.

Called Bonney Plumbing for a slow drain problem. Joe R. arrived when he was supposed to (and in the rain no less). He diagnosed and repaired our root infested drain in under an hour! Great service as always!

I first had a technician come to my home for an a/c issue; he called to say that he was on his way, which I always appreciate. Ryan Walter, the HVAC tech, was friendly, knowledgable and did great documentation. The pics he took of my attic unit helped to follow the description of his findings and recommendations. He made me aware of the BAM program, which I signed up for - which led to a heating tune-up visit with Barry Williams. Barry was also personable, knowledgable and consise with his diagnosese and documentation. We decided to have some work done after Barry supported some of the suggestions Ryan made about our unit, along with his own professional observations. We were satisfied that we were given enough information to proceed with the upcoming work. I would give the whole experience five stars, but wait to have the work done so my next review will be reflective of the excellent service I anticipate from this company and it's employees.

My husband and I were very pleased with Bonney's service overall. We live in an older home that had Orangeburg (tarpaper, basically) pipe and had to have our entire sewer line (130') replaced. Ugh!! We obtained bids from both Bonney and well know local trenchless provider. Even though Bonney's bid was slightly higher, the deal closer for us was Bonney's guarantee that the bid was ""by the job"", regardless of surprises (unlike the other provider who wanted us to sign a waiver). And wow, were there ever some surprises...! They made every effort to make the trenchless process work, however, our 70 year-old line had multiple large tree root blockages as well as two long sections of pipe that had collapsed under our concrete patio and walkway. They ended up having to hand trench over half the line.
Jeremy and Mark were outstanding!! It was clear they wanted to get the job done right, acknowledging it would add extra time and work on their part to accomplish that goal, yet never losing sight of our needs (a family of 5) to have as functional a system as possible at the end of each day. If you need serious sewer work performed, you'll be in good hands when these two guys show up! They put in some seriously long days, and worked in brutal Summer heat to get it done.
The only reason we're not giving 5 stars is the back-fill process was not ideal and had some hitches, some of which we didn't discover until after the fact. In the process of re-grading our soil over the affected area, in preparation for concrete replacement, my husband repeatedly came across large chunks of concrete and pieces of the old pipe that had been buried, just below the surface, as part of the fill material. Additionally, we can't honestly say the landscape in our front yard was returned to its original state. In all fairness, the job, start to finish (final inspection), lasted about two weeks, so it's not totally realistic to think it's going to look ""normal"" after having been dug up for that amount of time. However, to give an accurate rating we feel it needs to be noted.
We have multiple family members and friends who also own older homes and have recommended to them to call Bonney should they ever find themselves in the same situation.

I got service from them and the price was good and I already had all the parts and the piece for the shower and this was on Tuesday the Oct 1 around 130pm on clay st in sacramento. the guy had okay personally but seem to not be very good with people. He did stop the pipe from leaking in my shower and said it was okay to cover it up again but my shower barely will even get warm and I asked him to ensure that all and everything was hooked up correctly and working right. Plus at the beginning he said that he would have warranty on everything there and if any problems to call but then t the end he said he would only over the 1 nipple he replaced. This is not how you should tell customers and I have used several plumbers in sacramento and they were prompt and the lady that did the ansering the phone was nice but now I got my shower covered up right now and gonna have to repair that again to find out what wrong. I already spent 130 for the plumber service from them and 300 for covering the wall with everything.
