I have used Bonafide at least 5 different times over the past 18 months. Eddie is great - reliable, skilled and cost-conscious. He arrives on time, gets things done, and is always very personable and careful in his work. I plan to keeping using him whenever I have plumbing needs.

A quick story to show just how great Ed is at his job: Last year, we started having trouble with the shower/bath downstairs (one in which the shower is above the tub, and a built-in regulator allows you to switch the water from tub to shower). Another plumber came out and looked at the situation, and concluded that we would need to tear out the existing plumbing from the wall and replace it in its entirety. I didn't even ask for an estimate; instead, I found Bonafide on Yelp and asked them to come out.

Ed spent some time looking at the problem, and then figured out that the issue was simply that an ""O"" ring had gotten old and wasn't able to create an adequate seal when we switched to shower mode. All we needed was an 80 cent replacement, and everything works great. So Ed saved us thousands of dollars and a huge headache.

I'd recommend Ed and Bonafide to anyone.

Ed recently installed a new low-flow toilet for me. I emailed him with some photos of the existing toilet/bathroom and what needed to be done, and he got back to me same day with an estimate, and when I asked, a recommendation for a great toilet and some places to buy. I ended up getting a different toilet by the same manufacturer, and I really appreciate the input because it greatly narrowed down the number of toilets I needed to compare and consider. Scheduling was easy and Ed was on time, friendly, and considerate - first thing he asked was whether he should take his shoes off (no, but I appreciate the thoughtfulness). The job was done within an hour and Ed left everything looking great. Very happy - thank you, Ed!

Our kitchen sink was leaking (recurring issue). After leaving messages with a few other highly-rated plumbers (none of whom ended up calling me back), I called Bonafide and scheduled an appointment for later that day. Ed was able to come early, and he not only fixed the leak, but reconfigured the drain pipes to correct shoddy work done by a previous plumber.

Ed does excellent work at a fair price. On top of that, he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. We have had him here 3 times now for various jobs, including replacing the main drain line under the house. He has always found ways to do the job well without overdoing it. I very much like dealing with craftsmen like Ed that want to do the job right (and of course, in compliance with applicable codes) while not trying to ""upsell"" more services than we need.

Fantastic. Arrived on time, replaced three toilets, Hauled away old toilets and all packaging, and figured out an alternative to the waxless seals I had purchased.

Note that they install mainly Toyo Drake toilets. I had purchased these separately but need not have bothered. Would happily use them again.

We've used his services three times and highly recommend him. He's a great guy and does the work himself, which I really appreciate.

He's incredibly aware and strategic. He points out visual clues that help him diagnose issues. He will get down on the concrete to hear a leak. He cares about his work and communicates effectively if you're unclear about any issues.

We had an appointment for him to fix a leaky toilet. Prior to him coming we had just discovered a clicking sound within our walls that sounded like a water leak. He deciphered that what we were hearing was actually the reverberation of the water meter at the curb! He wasn't able to fix the leak himself due to time constraints but he recommended another company who did a great job.

I had a mold question too. Eddie gave me a reference to a company who in turn referred me to another great resource.

Eddy is an awesome plumber! He can literally fix anything!!! Called him for a toilet clog, etc., etc. and came within 30mins!!! He's very friendly and super funny too! He will let you know exactly what's wrong and how he'll fix it. He also doesn't mind when you ask questions (he loves helping ppl)! He's the best!!!
