Nothing but five stars for Ed. Ed first came to fix a leak at my place about three years ago, and he's been back for further repairs to my home and a rental unit I own.

Ed gives honest advice, knows a lot about his trade, uses only the highest-quality materials and charges a fair price for excellent work.

I'd give him six stars if I could.

My hot water heater sprang a small leak. I called Ed around 1:00 pm, and I had a new hot water heater installed by 3:30. When it seemed that the installation had affected the water pressure, I called Ed - he turned right around and came back within 15 minutes, fixed the problem (the water sitting in the pipes during the installation had stirred up some old sediment) within another 15 minutes, and now I have plenty of hot water.

Great service, reasonable price, didn't mind coming back to fix a related problem - you can't beat that.

From my experience I'd say Ed is a swell guy all around.

Like everyone else my experience with Ed was nothing short of spectacular. About a month ago I bought a house with an 'updated' kitchen. A few days later the sink was backed up. Ed came out that evening on his way home from work. If I hadn't stopped him he would have gone back out, got the parts, and fixed it right then. Instead he came back bright and early the next morning and fixed the sink. Apparently the contractors had taken some short-cuts and not vented the sink properly.

I'm about to take a class on plumbing at Laney so Ed allowed me to watch and ask questions, he even offered to lend me some books on the subject. Honest, fair, tidy, generous, most importantly fixed the sink proper, what more could you want?

After Thanksgiving, there was this lingering odor in the kitchen sink that we blamed on the garbage disposal. I thought all I needed was a plunger to fix this problem but it continued to stink and drain slowly.... called Ed on a Saturday and he picked up and gracefully asked to call back as he was with a client. He called back when he said he would, made room for us in his schedule that day, and found a corroded pipe which he fixed. He was very kind even with my curious husband ""watching and learning"" over his shoulder (I call it hovering!).

I was recommended to Ed by Tod Roberts, another plumber who was too busy to meet, so that was a good sign.

Ed met with my husband on a Saturday and he was on time and courteous. He gave us an all inclusive bid which covered all new gas lines, permits and dry wall patching and repair (paint not included).

He started the work on Monday and arrived early. We were having a heat wave that day which made working a bit uncomfortable for him but he soldiered forward. Ed finished the work Tuesday morning, met with the inspector and then had his drywall guy stop by to patch our wall by the stove. Since we have cream colored walls, it almost matches the patch, so we really don't even have to paint right away.

Ed was awesome and when my husband called him to thank him for his work, he actually said that he had fun with our project. Thanks Ed!

Only folks with an over-inflated sense of their own handiness might attempt some home plumbing on a late Sunday night before a major holiday. But I am nothing if not overconfident, and dang it but I wanted that trick diaper-rinsing thing on my toilet NOW.

Oops.

11pm, Ed answered, popped in less than 15 minutes later, and had us all set up with the functioning indoor plumbing to which we have become accustomed in minutes. He returned early the next morning (on Labor Day- my greatest thanks for that) with a part needed to finish the job. Ed is nice, fair and honest. We would definitely call him again.

Ed is great. He's nice, professional, ON TIME, and does a great job. He diagnosed and fixed a water pressure booster pump for me. It was half the price of what another company quoted me, but more importantly he did an excellent job. I will definitely hire him again next time I need a plumber.
