In the early 1920s, William Bolton Sr. transitioned from the railroad industry of Rocky Mount, NC to manage the construction of the mechanical system for the Sir Walter Raleigh Hotel. He functioned as its maintenance engineer for a brief time after the project was finished. In 1925, William Bolton Sr. established the W.E. Bolton Company to install and maintain coal-fired heating and cooling systems for nearby dairies and meat packing plants.

From those early days, each generation of the Bolton Family has done their part to expand, refine, and preserve our legacy to high standards and honesty. Now proudly providing our customers with heating, AC, pipe, contracting, wiring, and generator services. The most recent of William E. Bolton III's sons, Mark Bolton, commenced working at Bolton Construction after receiving a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Systems Engineering from the University of Wyoming, Laramie.
