On June 11, 2010, W.E. Bolton Construction and Service, LLC, owned by William E. Bolton III (Bill) and his son William E. Bolton IV (Will), acquired Bolton Service, LLC's assets. The previous owner, Woodfin Oil, approached W.E. Bolton in January of that year with this opportunity. After extensive negotiations, the employees of Bolton Service, LLC rejoined the Bolton family.

Bolton is recognized as one of the most established family businesses in the Raleigh region. In 1923, William E. Bolton Sr. left the Atlantic Coastline Railroad of Rock Mount to manage the construction of mechanical systems for Raleigh's first high-rise hotel, The Sir Walter Raleigh Hotel. In 1925, he launched the W.E. Bolton Company to install and service coal-fired heating and refrigeration systems for local dairies and meatpacking operations. The company weathered the Great Depression, and in 1946, William E. Bolton Jr. joined his father after six years of service on the USS Yorktown. See more at our website.

I was born at the Old Rex Hospital in Raleigh and raised on a small farm located just south of the current 540 outer loop in North Raleigh. In 1989, I graduated from Millbrook High School and subsequently attended Appalachian State University. In 1993, I graduated from ASU with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Minor in Technology. I became a full-time employee at Bolton Corp. in January 1994, where I worked as a Project Manager and Designer until December 2001. In January 2002, I co-founded W.E. Bolton Construction and Service, LLC with my father, Bill Bolton. In 2010, W.E. Bolton purchased the assets of Bolton Service, LLC. I possess contractor licenses in HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Sprinkler, Unlimited General Contracting, and Specialty Electrical. I am a member of the West Raleigh Rotary Club, SLR (Shop Local Raleigh), SFPE, and ASHRAE. I am currently the Raleigh Operations Manager. In my free time, I like to surf, paddleboard, wakeboard, fish, and snowboard with my wife and boys.
