W.E. Bolton Construction and Service, LLC, led by William E. Bolton III (Bill) and his son William E. Bolton IV (Will), took over the assets of Bolton Service, LLC on June 11, 2010. The previous owner, Woodfin Oil, approached W.E. Bolton in January of that year with this opportunity. Following lengthy discussions, the Bolton Service, LLC team became part of the Bolton family once more.

Bolton is among the oldest family-operated businesses in Raleigh. William E. Bolton Sr. departed from the Atlantic Coastline Railroad of Rock Mount in 1923 to oversee the mechanical systems for Raleigh's inaugural high-rise hotel, The Sir Walter Raleigh Hotel. In 1925, he founded the W.E. Bolton Company to install and maintain coal-fired heating and refrigeration systems for local dairies and meatpacking facilities. The company endured the Great Depression, and in 1946, William E. Bolton Jr. joined his father after serving six years on the USS Yorktown. Check out our website for additional details.

I was born at the Old Rex Hospital in Raleigh and spent my childhood on a small farm just south of what is now the new 540 outer loop in North Raleigh. In 1989, I graduated from Millbrook High School and subsequently attended Appalachian State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Minor in Technology from Appalachian State University in 1993. I became a full-time employee at Bolton Corp. in January 1994, where I worked as a Project Manager and Designer until December 2001. In January 2002, I co-founded W.E. Bolton Construction and Service, LLC with my father, Bill Bolton. In 2010, W.E. Bolton purchased the assets of Bolton Service, LLC. I hold contractor licenses in HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Sprinkler, Unlimited General Contracting, and Specialty Electrical. I belong to the West Raleigh Rotary Club, SLR (Shop Local Raleigh), SFPE, and ASHRAE. Currently, I serve as the Raleigh Operations Manager. My hobbies include surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, wakeboarding, fishing, and snowboarding with my wife and sons.
