Arthur is my go-to person for anything that needs fixing in our apartment from plumbing to electrical to issues do not fit easily into any one category. I just identify the problem and Arthur figures how to make it better. He charges a fair price for the work he does. He is professional and personable, and he provides really helpful advice on how to prevent the problem from happening again or how to fix it myself.

Arthur is very good. I would recommend him. He charges a fee to come and do an estimate which I think is fair. We wanted a simple, removable doorframe. We already had the door, we just needed a frame without trim or painting. He showed up on time and put the door into the wall while he waited for the supplies to be delivered. Then he drilled the frame together and attached it to the wall. It turned out well. If we were willing to pay more I'm sure he could have trimmed it nicely or centered it in the frame. To do it in the most economical way he just charged $400. I will call him in the future if I have anything similar that I need done. He also gave me helpful hints about how to install our AC and how to paint the door. An all around nice and professional guy.

Wow, you're saying I was difficult...? I wasn't even home most of the time. Maybe it was difficult because of all the beers you helped yourself to out of my fridge. You cant even defend yourself. I wasted weeks of my time and lots of money trying to undo the damage you did to the tiles and bathroom.

Bodie was very nice and available to install my new stove from Home Depot. I was quoted $95/hr. The stove was supposed to come with an installation kit but did not so I was happy Bodie went to the hardware store to purchase what he needed. The stove installation was a success.

The problem here was that Bodie wanted to charge me $250 for the job. Since I had the Super provide access to the apt, he confirmed that he was there for one (1) hour and that he had to go get parts. I challenged the $250 and then it came down to $150. I still had not gotten any receipts for parts purchased at this point and was not notified that the work had started or finished. I ended up sending a venmo for $95 + $15 for parts in good faith but did not have a receipt. Bodie then provided me the receipt and I sent the difference.

Nice work, but I feel like I was scammed.

Also, I called Home Depot and was refunded the amount of the installation kit and was happy I had a copy of the receipt just in case.

Arthur did a fantastic job with my Washington Heights apartment! What really impressed me is he went above and beyond - finding additional things that needed repair and areas where extra tiling could be done in my bathroom, and he was able to fit these extras into the estimates he provided. He is also great at communicating the steps and timing of the repairs and keeping you informed on progress. He has many skills - for me, he did everything from fixing leaks, tiling, painting, and cabinetry. I highly recommend him!!

Mr. Bodie was terrific and really saved us when we had a leaking kitchen sink. He was prompt in his reply and went above and beyond by coming out on a Sunday to take a look at the issue. In the end, he needed to do some repairs to the pipes and replace the faucet, which now are working perfectly.

I would definitely recommend Mr. Bodie, and will be having him back again to do more work in our home. I am a first time homeowner and don't know much of anything about anything, but Mr. Bodie took the time to check everything out, show me what was wrong, explain what he was doing, and do the job right. He installed a new bathroom sink (which required cutting out all the old piping under the sink and retrofitting and adapter-ing the new pipes in, thanks Ikea...), replaced a rusted-through drain and pipe underneath my kitchen sink, and wired and installed an overhead light and smoke alarm. It was about 4.5 hours of work and came to $600 total including parts, which I feel is very reasonable. As other reviews mentioned, Mr. Bodie is a really interesting, funny, and cool guy who makes you want to hang out and chat with him as he does his work. I will definitely be asking him to come back again in the future. - Paul

This man is an artist! We wanted a light over our dining table where there was no existing wiring, so Arthur made it happen -- and fast! It involved drilling holes in the sheetrock of the wall, and more holes in the ceiling, and yet more holes through several beams (!!) in the ceiling, but he patched everything so beautifully in the end, you'd never know. We'd definitely choose Arthur again and recommend him 100%.

Aside from being an absolutely awesome human being with a multitude of talents, Arthur fixed SIX overhead lights in my office and replaced faulty automatic switches in what felt like no time at all. His rates are extremely reasonable, he's punctual and MY LIGHTS ARE FIXED. I've been fighting with those lights for 6 months! He's fantastic!
