I have been using Boden plumbing at work for years now. They are always really fast to respond. I called late yesterday afternoon so I knew they wouldn't be able to get out then, but they beat me to the office this morning. Chris did a great job and communicated well with me about the issues.

Did the re viewer's who granted five stars get second opinions? Me thinks not. I was having trouble with my hot water heater and did what I could myself, i.e. change the thermocouple. When this did not fix the problem, I called Boden. A 'gentleman/ employee was called. He could not be bothered to get his own tools out of his truck and asked if he could borrow mine, seriously? He used my tools to ""tap"" the problem out. He hit the thermocouple like three times. Um, no, obviously it did nothing and they charged me about $70 to borrow my tools to hit a line, for a 'service call'. They came back again and could not fix the problem. They said that my gas lines were such that they couldn't possibly work on them until they were completely reversed, costing me thousands of unexpected dollars. PG&E actually suggested calling another plumber since it was obvious that I was not having any resolution with Boden. If PG&E says they are terrible, and others in community say that they are less than par.... then why call Boden. BTW. another company in Sonoma fixed my issue in one visit without charging me anything extra, it was a straight forward call with no "" surprises charges"".

In the several times I've used Boden (over a 10 year period), the visit goes something like this...two guys arrive, one tries to sell me something I already have or don't want, the other guy stands there staring into space. After about half an hour, they may or may not get down to work. That first half hour with the two guys doing nothing constructive, that time is billed. When one offered a band-aid solution to a leaky pipe - put a silicone patch on it - rather than replacing the pipe, he said it was to save me money. I guess I must look a lot dumber than I am.
In short, once you can get them to stop selling and start working, the work is usually done well and in a reasonable amount of time. But paying somebody to basically sell me a used car, at the going rate for plumbers, is not my idea of a satisfactory plumbering work.
They used to be better. Don't know what happened.

One of the amazing things about living in Sonoma is the kindness of people and professionals here. We had a hot water heater leak this morning right in the middle of a very busy day. Boden's plumber came out and smacked the hot water heater in just the right place with his wrench and made it all good again. He gave us a great education in hot water heaters, water softening, instant hot water heaters and how to get rid of that nasty film we get on glasses in the dishwasher. You bet we'll be calling them back again when the time comes for some real repairs or upgrades. A toast to Boden!

I had an issue with my Takagi instant water heater not firing up. Called Boden and they came out and performed a descaling of the unit, which cost me over $300, but didn't fix the issue! They billed me, just the same and failed to provide a resolution other than suggest I buy a new unit.

After calling yet another ""Takagi certified"" plumber in Napa to fix it, who also charged me hundreds for an unsuccessful service call and another suggestion to replace the unit - I fixed it myself by getting on the phone with Takagi and working through the diagnostic steps with their technician.

It turned out to be a faulty $10 overheat shutoff switch that needed to be replaced. I did it myself and learned to never call a plumber again for this type of issue.

Boden Plumbing is hands down the best plumbing company in Sonoma Valley. Very professional, courteous, attentive, and experienced. They know how to treat their customers, new and old, old and young.
I had a main water line leak at my house that needed to be repaired and Terry and Casey were able to fit this in to their very busy schedule on one-day notice. Casey came by early in the morning to layout where I needed to dig the trench through my front yard and then came by later to see if it was 'good-to-go' for him to come by the next day and install the new water line. He took care of the job the next day, in a very short amount of time.

Our renter called in a panic with toilet overflowing. We live near Seattle. Boden's man arrived fast on a Saturday, got everything handled and did not overcharge us. We are very happy! My husband was an electrical contractor for 27 years and he knows good contracting. Thank you so much Boden!!!

Boden is great! They are so responsive it is shocking. Customer service does still exist in a big way with Boden. I called to have our toilets replaced and receive the Sonoma County rebate, they do all the legwork! I would recommend them to my best friend. Thank you!

Always a good experience. Due to some poor drainage, we have to get the sewer line routed about twice a year...but we never know when.

Boden always answers the phone and shows up right away, does a thorough job, and is fairly priced. The guys they send out are friendly and conscientious.

Our disposal finally bit the dust after several resuscitations over the last six months. This a.m. I called Boden, whom we always use for our plumbing needs. Chris, who also helped replace our kitchen sink faucet a while back, arrived promptly after lunch with a selection of disposals for us. An hour later our new 3/4 horsepower Kitchen Aid Superba was installed and the antique antecedent removed from the premises. No muss, no fuss...just satisfaction as usual. What more can I say? Oh, yes...a little pricey but always worth using the home town, Diamond Award winning team. We're dedicated customers here.
