Bob Rath worked on several of my home pipe issues, each with professionalism and never a complaint despite the Covid restrictions on us all. He was timely, upfront about his costs and added no additional charges although he helped me with some additional minor issues.
Bob always communicates within an hour of the call, and keeps the customer in the loop as to ordered parts, ETA. He cleaned up after the debris, much better than many contractors. I would say he cares about his work and the customers satisfaction.
I highly recommend Rath plumbing and would use him again myself.

Had my water heater die and leak all over the basement. Called Bob at 7 am and he was at my house before 8 am to diagnose the problem and give me an estimate. Bob took the time to discuss with me the differences between a tank and tankless options and help me decide the right option for my family. He promptly left to get the replacement tank and completed the job quickly and left the space very clean. He was so good I had him fix an issue I had with my water softener. Bob was incredibly professional and exceeded all my expectations. Would definitely recommend him for all your plumbing needs.

Bob is very nice and knowledgeable. but he is not trustworthy. His son came out to diagnose a leak on our kitchen sink and low water pressure in a bathroom tub. For the kitchen sink, he said it was a cartridge repair that would cost $250. For the bathroom, he said he wasn't sure for the reason of low water pressure, so he would replace the stops and cartridge for $359. He said he would come back the following week to do the work but had to charge me $99 right then for the call-out, and the $99 would be deducted from the final work. The next day, which was the day before Thanksgiving, the leak with my kitchen sink was much worse, so he came back with his dad, Bob. Bob quickly diagnosed the issue was not a cartridge but actually a leaky hose in the faucet, and he had to put a whole new faucet in, charging me $730 for it. He also said he would not deduct the $99 initial callout charge from the day prior because they had to be called back for an emergency. After the faucet was installed, I was disgusted to find the faucet he installed retailed everywhere for $200. Even if Bob charged a 25% markup on the faucet and charged $200 an hour for the work, that would be a total of $500 -- I was charged $730! Then, Bob said his son's diagnosis and quote from the day prior on the upstairs bathroom wasn't correct, and the work could cost upwards of $500. At that point, I declined the work on my upstairs bathroom, as I didn't want to take a chance of incurring more charges.

Another fabulous job done by Bob and his team! Fixed my toilet and snaked the drain. They came in the allotted time which we agreed upon and gave me a price before they started the work.
I didn't have to wait a week for a call back...

I found Bob Rath Plumbing to be a very fair and knowledgeable plumber. He came to my house when he said he was going to show up. He really seemed to know his stuff and he wasn't looking to charge you an arm and a leg. The other plumber I had in wanted over $900 to fix my system. Bob said ""you don't need all that"" and fixed it for $300 bucks. A week later it still works great. This guy really knows his stuff and won't overcharge you. That's hard to find in a plumber these days. I would VERY HIGHLY recommend Bob Rath Plumbing to anyone who needs a good, honest plumber.

Bob did the work as quoted. No complaints. He is friendly and informative. The only criticism is that he was an hour late for scheduled appointment, which is understandable but someone should have called me to let me know he was running late.

I asked Bob Rath to go over to a home, where I was renting out to a tenant client of mine. There was some problems with a leak from the upstairs bathroom, leaking to the ceiling and room below. Bob came right away, went in there, checked the problem, did an estimate of work that to be done, and sent it to me. Bob has done work for us before, and he always has done a good job. I would recommend him to anyone. Pat Mitchko, Century 21

I had a plumbing issue at my house where the sewer system was backing up into our toilet. It was spitting water out every few minutes onto the floor. Rath Plumbing was very helpful and were at my house in a short time. The plumber was very through about investigating the issue and informed me about what was wrong and how he was going to fix it. What really impressed me was how the plumber cleaned up the bathroom and area where he worked until it was spotless. I have never experienced this after a plumber has completed a job. I would certainly recommend this plumbing company if you have any plumbing issues.

I have been using Bob Rath for over 10 years. He is the very BEST. Whenever I need plumbing needs, pool heater fixed he is there. His son Tim does the majority of the work at our house and he is the greatest worker. For a young man he is very meticulous and ensures he has met our needs and expectations before he leaves. Looking for dependability, Bob is the man.

They installed a gas water heater in my house. The work was done well. However, they ripped me off by charging $133 each for 2 permits (fire and plumbing). I called our town inspectors office and was informed that only one permit is required and it costs only $40. Even worse, after more than a year, Bob Rath Plumbing has never even filed for the permits. I called them numerous times but they won't return my calls. Stay clear of this business.
