Bob Oates is great! Our condo's kitchen sink flooded at night, and we hadn't used the faucet nor the dishwasher that day, so there was likely a clog in the main drain line. I called a few plumbers the next morning that were booked a few days out, but was able to get someone from Bob Oates to come take a look at the sink drain within an hour of calling. Giovanni was the plumber, and he was really helpful and friendly. Turns out the drain clog had resolved itself overnight, so he ended up not charging us anything (typically $70 or so for an inspection during week hours). Will definitely contact Bob Oates again if anything pops up.

Shane came out this morning to troubleshoot and fix a drain issue that caused in overflow in our basement. He was very professional and communicative. He helped me understand how our plumbing system worked and also clarified his thought process in identifying the drainage backup. He quickly fixed our issue and gave some helpful tips on keeping our pipes and drainage system healthy. Thanks Shane!

I had Bob Oates come out last week. They charged me for a sewer snake and camera for $325 + $100 weekend additional fee. They didnt use the camera which was supposed to be included in fee. At end of hour the guy said he had used up hour and that he would send someone out next week to do camera.

I believe I was charged for something I was not provided. The fee for just snake without camera should have been less.

There was a leak in the shower head in my bathroom. It's supposed to be a very easy fix. The problem is the nut in the handle bar is rusty and stuck. I tried the Allen wrench myself and it wouldn't work. The plumbers from Bob Oates helped cut the handle bar. Then we realized the cartridge inside the handle bar also got stuck. Cut the cartridge too. The replacement part bought from Home Depot didn't stop the leak and the plumber went to Home Depot and bought another one. Finally got the issue fixed. Their service could be a little bit expensive. But it's around Christmas time and it's a bit harder to get help in time. Bob Oates sent the plumbers to our home on the next day after I called. Overall I'm very happy with it.

I had a clogged down spout drain next to my garage (easy access). I told the dispatcher that this was an outside drain and not a $250 job. She said the plummer wound give me a quote when he arrived. I also told them I lived down a steep driveway so don't send a big truck. When the guy got to the house he refused to drive down the driveway. He said the job was $250 which is some kind of standard charge for a clogged drain.frustrated at this point i just said go ahead. Big mistake. He couldn't fix the problem. He needed other equipment in his truck but wouldn't drive down the driveway. He then told me he would need another person to help him, another $300. I told him to forget it. When the accountant called me the next day over a 10 cent error on the check I complained about the whole situation. The Manager on his own initiative called me. He said I got charged the wrong price and he would check with the plumber and call me back the next day. No call. I finally called him back several times after the rain started and drain backed up again. Still no call back. If you don't like getting ripped off do not use this guys.

I've had experience with 3-4 sewer/drain companies and up until now, I wouldn't say any of them were great. However, my experience with Bob Oates today was top notch. Booking was easy via email, the tech Shane communicated well, arrived on time, did great work and promptly fixed the issue. Will use them again, for sure.
