Bob Nelson Plumbing & Heating
Company Overview
Not every plumbing contractor is open to performing small repairs, like replacing a faucet washer. Thankfully, the skilled and certified team at Bob Nelson Plumbing & Heating, Inc. is different. We provide a full range of plumbing services to homeowners in Oakhurst, NJ, and nearby areas.
Bob Nelson Plumbing & Heating is known as the preferred plumbing installer for many of the finest new and existing homes in the region. In fact, the bigger and more unique the residence, the higher the chances that Bob Nelson Plumbing & Heating handled the mechanical work. In the past, most of our jobs were obtained through referrals; however, a larger portion of our work is now being arranged with builders and homeowners through the design-build method. This not only ensures competitive pricing but also adds value by delivering a higher quality product that aligns with the homeowner's needs and lifestyle.
Robert Nelson holds multiple licenses, including Licensed Master Plumber, Licensed Backflow Tester, Licensed Medical Gas Installer, Licensed Plumbing Inspector, Licensed HVAC technician, and Licensed Plumbing Subcode Official. Awful. Spent $1,200 for various plumbing jobs, including replacing outside faucet. It began leaking and I contacted them about repair or replacement. Company said it would schedule a repair but I'd probably have to pay for it. What kind of business screws good customers this way? Got it fixed by a reputable plumber. Definitely stay away from this business.
After meeting with Bob we felt confident with his experience. However, Bob doesn't do the actual work. We should have done more due diligence as we feel we over paid. The worse part though is trying to get a call back after your heck has cleared.
Cy S.I had a huge flood in my basement. As a result, I needed a leak detection system. I was able to work with Bob Nelson Plumbing and they helped to coordinate with the insurance company what I needed. They were responsive and right on time. They installed it when they said they would at the price they said they would. In fact, I thought I needed something else and they dissuaded me from putting it in! I was impressed from start to finish. Definitely a company to use again.
Paulie B.They have been working in our home for months now and there is no end in site. They show up for a few hours and leave claiming they don't have the parts to finish. I'm not a plumber but how about making a list of the parts you need, go to the supply house and get the parts, come to the job and finish? Doesn't seem that difficult to me. Aside from being unorganized and incompetent they are very sloppy, leaving marks all over the wood floors. The worst contractor experience of my life. I wish I could give them a ""0"" star rating. I will also be posting on Angies List and Google Plus.
NEVER...NEVER use this guy. They charged me 160.00 dollars for doing nothing. They were supposed to cut my ceiling and fix my leak. The guy who came out tried to sell us vanities on his ebay account because we were remodeling our bathroom. Instead of fixing the leak he was trying to make a dollar on the side.
RIP OFF....
if i could give lower rate i would. these people were impossible to get a hold of, they gave no notification when they were coming, they would jsut show up at my house and come in when we had no idea they were even coming that day. the older man who came and installed our new system was so condescending and rude and misogynistic. he yelled at me and talked down to me when i had questions about my NOT WORKING system and went so far as to say things like ""can you read numbers or do i need to tell you what your thermostat is at"" and ""do you need a lesson in science"" after shouting at myself and our roommate. never use their company. their are incompetent rude overpriced and all around terrible
I will NEVER work with this company again. I called FOUR TIMES and each time I was told someone would be calling back within a few minutes because I had no heat or hot water, since they installed the system incorrectly in the first place. The next DAY, Arlene, the horrific office manager called me back and when I politely explained my frustration to her she literally screamed at me on the phone. What happened to respecting the customer? That woman is psychotic.
worse than poor service. An employee sent to our house fixed a leak and created another problem. he said it could be resolved by jackhammering an uneven floor. Another company fixed the problem and we found out that the 1st plumber removed some shims, which created the problem in the 1st place. the owner would not return our call
BOB NELSON IS DECEITFUL AND GREEDY!
We recently used this company to repair a small leak in our kitchen. An employee came to our home to take a look, told us what needed to be done and quoted us that labor is $125 an hour. He also told us, ""No charge for today"". We scheduled an appointment for him to return and do the work later in the week. He was quick with his work and cleaned up after himself... THEN THE TROUBLE BEGAN... he went outside to call Bob Nelson to get the price on the job and returned with a work order slip stating that for 1 hour of labor, it is $200... I reminded him that he'd previously told us it iwas $125 and he agreed but stated that Bob Nelson thinks that small jobs are a waste of time and therefore has decided to charge us an extra $75 for the intial visit, when he told us what needed to be done. We paid in full, in good faith, but advised him that we'd be calling Bob Nelson to discuss this discrepency. Bob himself reiterated that he believes small jobs are a waste of time and decided to charge for the first visit. We had already been told that estimates are free but Bob said that we had never used the word ""estimate"" when we made the initial call, and therefore he was going to charge. If Bob Nelson thinks that small jobs are a waste of time, he should say no, NOT RIP OFF THE CUSTOMER. His ethics and business practice are appalling and we will never ever use him or recommend him again.
