In cases where an upfront price of $170 is quoted for a job that may only take an hour of time and materials, resulting in a lower cost for the customer, upfront pricing may not always be the most economical choice.

You will have a clear understanding of your total cost from the start, this may not represent the best value for your money. Using both time and materials pricing alongside upfront pricing will ensure you receive the best value. Just because a price is upfront doesn't guarantee it's the lowest.

You do not want to hire this plumber. I was born on this island, I have lived here all my life, and work for a local fire department here where we pride ourselves on moral and ethical conduct and treat everyone in this community with the same standard of care and quality of service when doing so. Do to growing up here and being a 6th generation local and knowing many individuals on this island, many of whom I hold high in regard, I have first hand knowledge of and have witnessed not only the very poor quality of service this man provides but that he completely conducts business in an immoral and unethical manner. It has been brought to my attention that he has resorted to spite, blackmail, and even vengeance if one were to disagree with his incompetent work ethic and the way he has conducted a job in a manner in which you feel is unacceptable to your taste or liking. I urge you to not only think twice before hiring this company for I care for all out there who is just trying to get a plumbing issue resolved or service to an issue handled and completed. There are many great companies out there but in my experience this company is absolutely not one of them.

The company I dealt with left me utterly disappointed due to the incredibly disrespectful, unprofessional, and rude treatment I received from David and the company as a whole. Despite being referred by County Code Enforcement for my sewer connection service, the experience with David was beyond terrible. His unprofessionalism and terrible conduct reached new heights - from sending unpleasant text messages to completing the job late, resulting in hefty fines from Monroe County. Not to mention the mess he left behind on my property. As someone deeply rooted in this community, I cannot in good conscience recommend this company or its services to any Florida Keys residents. David's approach involves providing a high initial quote and then raising the price, pressuring clients to pay even before completing the job. He is, without a doubt, the epitome of unprofessionalism, and I would not even recommend him to my worst enemies.

I broke the main water line coming into the house almost flush with the slab at 3pm on a Friday. I called Blue Water and the owner Dave was at our house within 10 minutes...he was on a job a block away but stopped by to assess the situation. He was back within a hour and had it fixed quickly. If I could give them zero stars I would. This is me writing my first review EVER and I was inspired to do so because they took advantage of my patience and their customer service was so bad. I made a service request through American Home Shield in May of 2021, which I had to pay for a service request fee, and they connected me with Blue Water Plumbing. 2 months after making the request and making phone calls to schedule an appointment, David (the owner) finally came to my home, took a look at the obviously old and non functioning water heater and said he will put in an order and wait for approval through AHS. Again, weeks and months went by. I waited, called, and kept getting the run around. I'd call weekly or every other week because I hate to be a bother and someone would always say they'd call back once they get more information but never do. So I contacted American Home Shield directly, and they told me that since 30 days has passed with no updates on the request (meaning that David never even bothered with putting a request for approval), that there was nothing they can do and I couldn't even be reimbursed. So I paid a service request fee for nothing and that is the consequence of being extremely patient with these people. I guess I should have called every waking day to get their butts out here but I didn't because I am a reasonable person. AHS even called the company and the administrator Stephanie lied and said that there's no record of anyone coming to my home. If David didn't want to bother with my request then he should have just said so from the beginning because I would have gladly changed vendors which could have saved me money and time, which he has wasted both.
