Be very careful when using Blue Planet Drains Plumbing company. They are quick to overcharge and run your credit card TWICE! They did not catch this mistake until a month after when I had to contact them and then only offered an apology. And I didn't believe my husband when he kept telling me that they were billing us TWICE!!

Technician was very polite we still don't have any problems or leaks but the company charged us TWO TIMES. The accounting department apologized but I would be very wary about using this company.

Found this company today on HomeAdvisor after finding a leak in my wall where the main water pipe enters house from the street. Set up a window between 1 and 4 pm on Home Advisor and got a call from this company that they could be at my house between 3 and 5 pm. Just got a call at 5:40 pm that they can't make it tonight and will need to schedule tomorrow. The person on the phone, Carmen, was super nice and professional and apologetic. But guess what? DON'T BID ON A JOB YOU DON'T HAVE RESOURCE CAPACITY TO FOLLOW THROUGH ON YOUR COMMITMENT! I get that they may have gotten into another job that took longer but ""under promise and over deliver"" and surpass the customer's expectations. I would never recommend this company ever.

I own a restaurant in San Diego county and had the unfortunate need for a plumber on Friday night in the middle of my dinner service. I really didn't know where to turn so I went on Angies List on line for help. I requested the help I needed and within 2 or 3 minutes I recieved a call from Carmen who I guess takes care of online requests and she was very friendly and helpful. She kept me informed on her process and set up a plumber for me to come out right away. Fast forward to Yukio coming out to remedy the situation. Turned out that I had a mainline clog and all my toilets were basically backed up. Yukio let me know exactly what he was doing the whole time. First he went in through the cleanouts to snake the drain but it didn't work. Then went outside to the parking lot, snaked again and still didn't work. Then he switched to a bigger, longer snake but unfortunately still couldn't completely reach the clog. He recommended coming back early in the morning and bringing a trailer mounted piece of equipment called a hydrojet. This needed to be done ASAP because I wanted to open the restaurant on time and I needed toopen with restrooms for my customers. By time I arrived the next morning, Yukio was back and working. He cleared the line with the hydrojet just like he said. Although obviously it did cost me some money, it could have been worse and now I know that my sewer lines need maintenance every year so this doesn't happen again. Thank you Blue Planet, Carmen and Yukio for getting the job done so quickly and professional. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good, reliable and honest plumber.

Jake is the rep that came out to our place. He is very knowledgeable courteous and professional. He made me feel very comfortable. This company is genuine and doesn't try to up sale you a service you don't need. At the same time they will give you an honest recommendation, if needed, and leave it up to you to follow through if you choose to do so. No pressure.

I will DEFINITELY recommended the business to people and use them again!

Super recommended! Super quick From the time I called to the time they arrived and super friendly. Mikey was very knowledgeable and efficient, my kitchen sink was unclogged in no time. Would definitely recommend to all family and friends. Elizabeth was very nice and had her follow up call right away to let me know someone was on their way.

Called out Blue Planet to camera inspect a slow running shower drain that had been snaked by others without success. Tech (Mike?) arrived and said his camera would not flex through the shower p-trap, although dispatcher said it could be done. Tech stated his service call would cost $129 which is normally $89, but said my situation warranted the higher amount. I was left wondering who these Blue Planet people were, where did they come from and get their name? I said I called in to have a camera inspection performed to confirm or disprove a broken pipe below the slab, to which he replied he could not do, and that he was confident he could clear drain with his snake, and no charge if not successful. Tech spent an hour trying to clear drain by snaking the back to back bathtub overflow which had been running fine. I again stated that others had tried this, without success, and for effort I give him credit. Tech concluded that a pipe was broken under the slab and gave me an estimate to break out the slab and demo the shower unit for $4,800. How an $89 service call for a camera inspection turned into $4,800 repair was beyond me. I think a ""broken pipe"" is their way of giving up. My shower drain still does not run, nor was it camera inspected, which is why I called Blue Planet out in the first place. Tech said he needed to charge $89 for his hour there, and that he would get into trouble by his company if he went back with nothing. Tech tried to make the $89 charge sound better than $129, and I thought $0 was even better, and was what was agreed to before he snaked. I reluctantly paid the $89.

Talked to a plumber friend later who suggested putting a camera down the vent. Called dispatcher at Blue Planet and was assured they could do that. Second tech (Nick?) arrived and without trying, said camera could not bend through the vent, so was useless to even try. Why dispatcher did not say this? Now I was mad, and asked why he even came out. No payment was made this time. Later asked office for a refund of first visit, and they said checks were cut once a week and ours would be ""in the mail"" shortly. After three repeat requests, a check finally arrived.

Thank you, Blue Planet! I would recommend your business is a heartbeat. Tito and his crew were wonderful! They were respectful, informative, hard-working and professional! They replumbed my mom's entire house using their patented ""trenchless technology"" in a little over a week's time! Now my mom no longer has any worries of pipes leaking, breaking or stopped up drains! Thank you, Tito, for all you did for my mom!
