I will start off saying the staff is friendly. BUT! being a new homeowner with absolutely no experience with a broken ac system they definitely took advantage. Charged $1000 more than anyone else and had us sign a work authorization without explaining that there was a hefty fee to cancel. Plus they were going to make us go 3 weeks without a working unit. definitely get a second opinion on pricing if you call them and don't sign anything unless you're 100% sure they're who you want to do the job!

Owner was very aggressive in any attempted conversation. He would not listen to, or answer questions, and he used foul language. His service person tried to upsell a job to the extent of thousands of dollars. When service was declined, owner continued to badger and was very disrespectful. I suggest looking elsewhere for any plumbing or HVAC needs.

Beware! Beware! Beware! Beware!

A Gas Leak Repair gone wrong from so-called ""Professionals"".

Stay away from Blue Mountain Plumbing, Heating & Cooling in Fishersville, VA. On May 5, 2020 they came in to fix a small Gas Leak in the Basement - replace a Pipe with a new flexible Pipe. Two Techs and a Helper. When done we were told we were all set; the new Pipe was in place; they tested everything - we were good to go. The smell of Gas would dissipate soon.

Instead they made the Leak worse! Part of the Pipe replacement required 4 Fittings. 3 of the 4 Fittings were still loose and 1 of them was put on by Hand only! Instead of the Gas dissipating it was building up in the House. With the Weather chilly we had the Heat on and the Windows closed. We went to bed that Night believing all was good. We were sleeping in a time-bomb. With all the Windows closed, how long does it take for the House to build up with Gas before it explodes?

My Wife & I are Senior Citizens. My Wife is a Stroke victim; a Lung Cancer survivor; a Type-2 Diabetic; on a list of Medications; half Blind; along with other preexisting conditions. We are adhering to the Stay at Home Order from the Governor - so our traveling is minimal.

The next morning 15+ hours later my Wife is complaining of Headaches and having problems with her remaining vision. I give her Tylenol and began to closely monitor her movements. I'm thinking she is having another Stroke. Instead - it's the Gas filling up in the House.

After Breakfast we go to the Store for a gallon of Milk. We walk into the House and it the smell of Gas is overwhelming.

I immediately called Blue Mountain because less than 24-hours ago they told us we were okay. They sent a Tech over right away. I shut the Heat off and opened all the Doors & Windows. The Tech that came over informed me of what the Team the day before did not do. This Tech told me that 3 of the 4 Fittings were leaking. That is a 75% failure rate! They also did not perform Soap Test which is the final step needed when installing a new Gas line.

I called Donna at Blue Mountain insisting on a refund. We paid $1,457.74 for a Service poorly performed. The House could have blown up with us in it. Donna offered a $100 credit to our Account and a free Maintenance Contract for 2-years on Heating & A/C. Blue Mountain has no intentions of any Cash refund! Per Donna "".... we did the work....""and when you called, I sent a Tech right over! Donna was coming across as if she was doing us a favor! I see it more like there was a major Liability in the making. She needed to get a Tech over to make sure the House did not blow up with fatalities possible.

They have our Money and they plan to keep it. We have our Lives and we will never use them again. Donna can keep her 2-Year free Maintenance Offer! Unacceptable and insulting!

This is not the company to contact if you are looking for ethical and honest plumbing repair service. Yes, I agreed to the $380 price on the proposal; however, I did not realize it would take less than 20 minutes and a $20 part. That makes the hourly rate pushing about $1000. When I realized how simple the task had been, I contacted the office manger; she was totally uninterested in the injustice in the charge. After thinking more about it, I attempted to contact the owner to discuss a possible price adjustment for the complicated free service provided; I suppose he too is uninterested. He did not return either of my two calls. Now, understand the if the office manager and the owner are not interested in hearing the concerns of a ""repeat"" customer, you are best to take your business elsewhere. I am hopeful this post protects others from the same extremely expensive and poor customer service I received; just find another plumber....reputable plumbers do exist....this company is not one of them.

This establishment charges a healthy fee to respond to each request for service. Each visit is an additional fee. After 7 wasted visits, this establishment misdiagnosed my heating solution. The answer was ""your system is toast"". Eventually, I was quoted a ridiculously outrageous price. Three weeks later - with single digit temperatures, still no heat and another wasted visit, it turned out to be a $200 part to ""fix"" my system. That ""solution"" lasted three weeks.
Fortunately there are genuinely honest/local competitors that provide quality diagnosis and repair at attainable pricing for quality solutions. Guess what, they DO NOT charge service call fees.
My experience and suggestion is to shop around. Do not be price gauged and manipulated into accepting this type of ""customer service"". You have local options that provide solid solutions.

This business should be AVOIDED at all cost. I recently had to replace my electric hot water heater. I had already removed the old unit, had the new unit in place, had the plumbing and electrical from the old unit disconnected and just needed two copper pipe joints soldered....NOTHING ELSE. I should have been a ten minute job for a competent plumber. The companies that service my business did not have someone available on short notice so I called Blue Mountain Plumbing. The woman said they had someone available that day, but there was a minimum charge of $89 to dispatch ""the technician"", however, if I got them to do the work, that fee would be waived. The guy shows up, looks at the two pipes and says okay, I'll get you a quote.... $435 to solder two pipe fittings.... I was astounded. I threw the guy out, but was out $89 for nothing. I'm convinced that giving outrageous quotes...for $89 each....has got to be how they earn their money. What a rip off!!! Stay away from this firm!!! I would give zero stars if that was an option.

Stay away from this company. They are extremely overpriced. I had a bad fan blower on my furnace. When they finished I found the motor they had put in only cost $208. They charged me $821 for the repair. It took the tech just one hour to install it. They said it was just a ""flat rate"" for the repair. I wish I could make $600 an hour. Pretty good living. Stay away!!!

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I had a blockage and I called because they had 24 hour services and it was after hours. Biggest mistake of my life. They sent someone in training by himself who busted a pipe spilling water out on all my stuff in the basement. Told me the blockage was clear and before he left. I checked not him and the blockage was still there. So after paying after hour prices they had to return the next (he brought someone with him) to fix it for it to work 2 1/2 days and wouldn't come back to look at it without charging me. Swore the blockage was in the house until I needed them to come back and then it was oh I think I felt a dip and a root. Roto rooter came and saved the day for more than 1/2 less than what I paid blue mountain. Totally recommend roto rooter. They stand by there work.

This place is a total scam. I had Blue Mountain Plumbing out today to replace a toilet flange that had a slow drip (one droplet or so a week). It was a non-emergency and I organized the visit a week in advance (i.e. this was not a middle of the night plumbing emergency). They told us about the mandatory $90 fee for any visit. Figuring I would receive, you know, a *sane* quote for services, I told them this was fine. I'd rather pay a bit more to have a professional knock it out anyway. Replacing a toilet flange involves about $30 in parts and an hour or two of time tops. I've checked these figures with other plumbers and indeed if you search YouTube, you'll find this is not a major operation. Drain the toilet, loosen some screws, remove the toilet, replace the flange ($20) and a possibly piece or two of PVC if needed ($10). They quoted me $1058.72 for this job. They wasted our time and robbed us of $90 on the way out the door for this ""quote"". My advice to those considering this company: call someone else that is actually interested in doing the work and not these guys who are just providing bogus inflated quotes in order to get your $90.
