Blue Duck came to our rescue in the middle of the night with hardly any notice and walked into a flooded basement and failed sump pump. They did the kind of excellent job that there's no way to rate them highly enough. To say they went above and beyond in their knowledge and professionalism would be an understatement. I recommend them for any plumbing job, big or small. They even came back a week later to make sure everything was in perfect working condition. 10/10. Best plumbing company we've ever known.

Recently, our twenty year old toilet was overflowing in our master bathroom, several times during the last two weeks. I contacted a local plumbing company whom was busy when we called and committed to return my call after completion of the job he was performing. To date, we have not heard back from him.
Today, our toilet overflowed again, during a 6-8 inch snow storm we contacted Blue Duck Plumbing. The dispatched immediately answered the phone and scheduled a appointment between 1:00 - 3:00 pm today. Philip the master plumber and his apprentice arrived ahead of schedule, provided an acceptable price quote and performed the repairs in a highly professional and efficient manner.
As a retired Construction Services Officer I appreciate contractors that perform their work like Philip. In the future all my plumbing repairs will be performed by Phillip and Blue Duck Plumbing.

I honestly can't rate their service as plumbers because they didn't show up. Twice. I scheduled a fairly benign shower repair job a few weeks ago. A couple hours after the appointment time had passed I got a call and an apology. I rescheduled for yesterday morning and again, a plumber didn't show up and I was never contacted. So I've wasted half of my day twice, waiting for their tech to show up for an appointment, and they never did. I'd recommend saving yourself the time and frustration and deal a different company.

Great guys - very knowledgeable! This is the second time we've called Blue Duck Plumbing for help fixing an issue. First time was a hot water heater. This time we had a small leak under our sink due to a crack on a fitting. Joe, the owner of Blue Duck, was the one that actually came out to fix it. He immediately knew what caused the issue and instead of just putting on a new fitting, he actually FIXED the problem. The drain pipe had been flipped and was putting too much pressure on the fitting. He corrected the drain pipe and put on a new fitting... at that point most plumbers would have called it a day.. it was after 5pm on a Friday. Joe then noticed the vent overflow tube for the dishwasher wasn't quite right. He showed me the issue, advised what should be done, and then corrected it. While fixing the position of the overflow tube, the dishwasher hose came loose due to aa weak clamp holding it on. Joe again showed me the issue, advised what should be done, and then replaced the clamp with a better one to avoid the hose coming loose and spilling water from the dishwasher all over the floor. For what was a 5-minute job, Joe was at our house for over an hour fixing things he spotted were wrong. And he did not charge anything additional for fixing those extra things. I would HIGHLY recommend Blue Duck Plumbing!! They will explain what is causing the issue and how best to fix it in a courteous manner. Professional - polite - plumbers!! Give 'em a call for sure -

I needed the drip under my sink repaired and a new faucet installed. It was more complicated than anticipated. After more time and effort and a call in for reinforcements the issues were resolved. I had a small complaint and called the owner who resolved my concern with warmth and kindness. I was so impressed with the grace and patience shown to me that I am now committed to being their loyal customer forever.

As an individual who has been doing business with the proprietor of this company since 2007 I would kindly ask that anyone browsing Yelp to find a plumber in the Lawrence area disregard the one star review that they have received.

We were most fortunate to have the pleasure of receiving the services of Blue Duck in our home today. I was very happy that Joe The Plumber himself, along with his son Philip, showed up to replace our tired and spent water heater. Although I am a man of some mechanical wits, I have not replaced or witnessed the replacement of said apparatus and I was more than happy to pay for their very reasonable labor charge, considering the time it took them and the knowledge I gained from their visit.

Joe is as personable as ever, answering all questions, not trying to sell you services you don't need. When he is in your home repairing your various leaks it feels like he's your old buddy that happens to be a plumber who you don't mind in the least paying for his time. His laid back personality is ever apparent in Philip who is a true gentleman, very professional.

Long story short, this is the company I will continue to call when a problem arises that I'm not comfortable handling personally.

We have used Blue Duck twice in the past couple of months and their service is outstanding. We had a problem with our water heater and it turned out the line running into it was clogged. Doug and Joe did a great job analyzing the situation and fixed it. Today, Joe's sons came out and unplugged the drain line in the bathroom sink at our daughter's house. Problem was resolved in about a half an hour. Since we were repeat customers, the young men gave us a discount. The staff and owner are very polite, friendly and competent. Their pricing is very economical and fair. I'm happy that we called them and now have a reliable plumber for the future. I would highly recommend using Blue Duck!!

Very poor customer service. Had to call twice for them to come fix my water heater. First guy fixed it to last only 2 weeks. (Heater only 4yrs old). Called to say it wasn't heating again, so the owner shows up. Tells me that my heater is strange looking, and built odd. Now as a plumber you should know how to work on all products you claim you work on. Then he proceeded to supposedly fix it, doesn't say he's done and the next thing i know he's driving off without saying a thing. Call an hour later because still no hot water. He says wait another hour for it to heat up. 3 hours later, still no hot water. Call again leave a message, no call back. Call the next morning leave another message that they need to come fix things, or give me back my $425.00. Still no call back. Now if your a reputable company, you would do all you can to make your customer happy. Not this company. The Better Business Bureau is definitely gonna hear about this sorry company. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone. Very unprofessional and lack of knowledgeable employees, as well as the owner.

Skillful, honest and fair. They've done a couple of jobs for me over the past couple of years. The first was a complicated sewer blockage that took a while to find due to lines rerouted by a previous homeowner. More recently, they custom-fitted a new faucet to an old porcelain sink in my kitchen. First-rate work. Easy and prompt scheduling. Office staff returns calls and checks afterwards for customer satisfaction. Highly recommended.
