After communicating with at least 3 other plumbers (1 with outrageous pricing, 1 that was spotty with responding and 1 that just completely ghosted me), I texted Blue Diamond in the early evening on a Wednesday regarding replacing a water heater. He responded within minutes, gave me an estimate for the work and was able to squeeze me into his schedule for the following day, knowing that the kids have been out of warm water for several days already.

Ramon texted when he was 30 mins out and arrived at 9AM (having given me a window of 9-10AM for arrival). He was respectful of the home, explained what he was going to do, performed the work in a very timely and cleanly manner, provided a detailed receipt and took payment.

There was even some work I mentioned to him that another contractor stated is needed. He looked at it and said that he could do it, but that it wouldn't resolve the issue. He recommended I reach out to a specialized contractor to ensure my money spent would really be going towards fixing the issue. A contractor that isn't out to just squeeze every cent out of me?? Sign me up!

Such an efficient, easy transaction...could not be more pleased. Had Blue Diamond been my first contact, I could've been back up in running so much sooner and saved myself from so much hassle with the other companies.

Also, while I didn't take this approach, his pricing to provide and install a new water heater is super competitive...and he provides Bradford White, which is a very solid unit.

I called Ramon about the condition of some cast iron pipe fitting joints and he gave me an honest assessment that just some minor rusting on the inside does necessitate replacement. It wasn't broken, cracked, or leaking and it's normal to see some rusting in cast iron pipes. I appreciate professionally honest people and would recommend them to anyone needing of service.
