Years ago, before social media. Blue Diamond plumber came to my home to replace a faucet on the exterior of my home. He had to go into the crawl space a couple of feet away from the faucet. He replaced it and charged me the ""Senior Rate"" $425 (today that would be about $700) and told me there was another leak under my home and he would come back the next day and fix it for $600.
I declined and I found a handyman who went under my home and found NO other leak and found that the plumber had installed the frost free faucet incorrectly. He fixed it for $35. Blue Diamond returned only $35. of my fee. I hope the company has changed but I clearly was a scammed senior!

The contracting team came on very little notice by referral from our realtor. We were very happy to get some problems taken care of post-inspection to meet requests of buyer. The team worked very efficiently and effectively to find the source of the water damage problem and fix it right and professionally the first time. I would recommend them to anyone.

As people say, ""Dan is the man""! He is the owner of the company. He gave us a free estimate as advertised and after meeting him in person and comparing his prices with other companies we opted to choose him and his services. We had a bathroom remodel that was completed in 2 days! Yes, 2 days! They are fast and effective. After such a great first experience we have called him back for other projects/fixing; kitchen faucet replacement, and new flooring and trim installation in two bedrooms. All their work is beautiful and done in a timely fashion. Dan is our man, we will continue to use his services for future needs.

The reviews on this business jumps from 1 star to 5 stars which is always a red flag for me.
Dan gave me a creepy wink and charged an additional $150 extra because of the wait. The final cost was over our budget. He suggested paying in cash to waive the tax, (no thanks!), that's another reason NOT to use this guy.

On 1/29/2016 I wrote a quite scathing review of Dans business based upon the use of poor components and lack of communication in resolving the failure of them.. Dan finally contacted me a few weeks later asking how to make it right. Upon a number of discussions and investigation, the use of poor components really wasn't Dans fault, with the exception of he could have looked them up same as I did. On the other hand, he bought the components from a reputable supply company, and there shouldnt have been any real reason to double check. So I think it behooves both consumer and contractor to double check whats being used to avoid future issues. As consumers we trust the contractor to use quality components, and as a business, you use quality components to avoid angry customers and call backs.

Throughout this investigation and repair, Dan kept me 100% abreast of time to arrive (he had to come twice((no fault of his)), where he got the replacement components, and what they were before arriving. No customer could have asked for more. He was timely, polite, and apologetic.

The failing components were replaced to my satisfaction. I wouldnt hestitate to use him again, next time I have plumbing issues.

Sadly, Dan is not the man, as posted by others. I live on the 4th floor of a condo. Big plumbing emergency on a Saturday morning, with backed up kitchen waste water in multiple units. He called me, after my alert went out on an emergency call from a dispatcher that alerts many companies at the same time. I spoke with Dan twice. Dan was very responsive on phone, quoted a reasonable price, and promised that he'd call to confirm when one of his guys finished a job in Federal Way and could come down to downtown Tacoma. Then, complete silence. No call, and no return calls to my additional two calls, hours later. This put me behind FOUR HOURS in my search to find a plumber. I am new in this condo, and Dan has blown my cred for problem solving.

Dan is the MAN.

I used Dan's company 3 times now. One for dry rot in one of the bathrooms. He came in gave me an estimate, I actually added a few things for him to do at a fair price. The bathroom end up completely redone and looks amazing.

2nd time I had a leaky skylight, NW Blue Diamond came out and fixed the skylight even though there was an inch of ice on the roof.

The 3rd time was on April 26th Dan came out and gave me an estimate a few days earlier on a new ridge vent, removing the 20 year old insulation, blocking the vents(bird house holes), and installing high quality blown in insulation.
The estimate was about what I had expect having priced the job out as if I was actually going to do it myself. The job came in under the estimate and was done a day earlier than expected.

I see people writing so so reviews talking about the cost or this or that but you are the one who signed the contract. You have to sign the contract before the work starts so FIRST read what you agree then if your agree then sign it. I bet if that happend all the reviews on here would be 4 or 5 stars.

Dan is a real nice guy; he is fair and sticks to his word. That's something you can't put money on these days.

I would recommend NW Diamond to my family and friends and I will use them again when the next project/emergency arises.

Had them come to fix some flood damage.

Sump and jackhammering, etc all done reasonably albeit at a high price. I realized he'd been gouging me when he added in the carpet replacement ($600 value for lowest quality replacement carpeting) for $2500. I got another quote for full Berber for $1800. I had him paint the basement also, he charged me $1300 plus materials, when I was able to get another quote it was $600 including materials - and the paint job was exceptionally poor, sloppy, overpaint, absolute disaster and he wouldn't fix it. Complained every time I mentioned him fixing anything saying - I didn't bid that.

Didn't remove wall items when painting, overpainted on nearly all the baseboards, ceilings, toilet paper hanger, etc, didn't caulk, refused to come back and fix even though he promised me he would be back to finish off and detail. Once the end was in sight they slammed through the rest of the work to get the heck out, gouged me on price, and did an exceptionally poor finishing job.

Avoid at all costs, despite punctuality on the initial show, I was under pressure since the basement was flooding and there was furniture and carpet there so I had no choice really but to take the first guy who could come out.

My husband and I are very happy with the job Dan did on our bathroom. We live in a home built by my dad in 1970. My dad did everything one step up, so finding someone who would be as diligent as he was, was a concern for us, but thankfully we found DAN!!! Excellent service, timely, affordable, very professional, great workmanship and great work ethics!! We will refer him to all our friends and family!!

Dan and his crew were amazing and offered the cheapest price for the plumbing services they provided by a long shot! They were in and out as quickly and efficiently as possible which was nice for my family. All of his employees were extremely helpful and were there on time every day. I have recommended NW Blue Diamond to all of my family and friends and they have been overly pleased with this company as well. We have saved A LOT of MONEY going through this company and at time like these will keep calling on Blue Diamond!
