We had a terrific experience with BVP. During a consultation for landscaping in our front yard, one of the contractors advised that we replace our main line because our plumbing was ready to fail. The whole house was still original 1955 galvanized steel, so we knew re-piping was something we'd need to consider at some point. We were referred to Mark Brewer, at Blossom Valley Plumbing.

Mark was quick to reply when engaged and immediately sent Doug to the house to evaluate our needs. Doug is tremendously good natured and helpful. He walked through the house and checked the crawl space out. Ultimately, we decided to tackle the main line AND the pipes under the house at the same time. It seemed like a big project... but Mark estimated that his guys would be in and out in a single day.

The day of the project, Doug, George, and their crew were very prompt and polite. My wife showed them their access points and, from there, they went to work. The crew in the front yard had our main line dug up, replaced, and working in less than 8-hours. The backyard crew, going under the house to replace the pipes, were equally prompt and helpful. When something didn't work as intended, they'd take it apart and start over. George took apart our bathroom faucet 3 different times to improve the water pressure, at no additional cost. They even offered to put in a new hose valve in our side yard, since they saw we had a garden over there. It wasn't very expensive and it helps me water without having to drag an extra large hose from the backyard to the side yard.

Blossom Valley Plumbing will be handling all of our plumbing needs going forward. We're so glad they were recommended to us!

We called because of a leak in the base of out toilet. A puzzle because the water was clean, and that isn't where the clean water usually leaks from. Not a problem for a pro. Diagnosed a crack in the porcelain interior of the toilet (probably due to floor work recently completed) and suggested a new toilet. Provided a make, item number, and source (Home Depot). We ordered three so we could take care of all our toilet problems at once. They came back and installed all three in two hours. Removed the old toilets (for a fee). Altogether, the bill was about half the cost of the toilets. No drama. The installer was friendly, polite, and wore a mask.

We are quite happy with the new toilets and with the installation process. One star off because it took them a week to return our call. Typical. The best plumbers are always busy and their focus is on the customer they are with. As it should be.

Doug is simply the most reliable and expert plumber I have used in over 30 years of home ownership. He arrives on time, does quality work in an efficient manner and recommends the least expensive solutions. Even on very difficult jobs, such as the kitchen sink problem which involved drilling and resetting the sink, he was persistent in ensuring that the everything would be fixed properly. Mark runs a fantastic operation. You won't be taken sorry you called.

I called because my water heater is well over 10 years old and I felt it needed to be changed. A group arrived from Blossom Valley Plumbing and carefully inspected the water heater. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they felt it was a high quality unit that they felt was superior to the current heaters on the market. Their advice was to hold off on changing it.
WOW - I DIDN'T EXPECT THIS AND WAS TOTALLY IMPRESSED THAT THEY RECOMMENDED THAT NO WORK BE DONE.
I WILL DEFINITELY CALL THEM BACK FOR ALL MY FUTURE PLUMBING NEEDS!

They were timely and efficient. They set up a new water softener for us which required new types of pipes to be installed with it. They explained the set up process very clearly.
I called them again another time because we had an unrelated leak from the shower and they were great about figuring out the cause and getting that sorted out quickly.

My first experience with BVP was excellent. I called yesterday morning about the hot water on our new kitchen faucet which had got clogged with some debris after installation (by someone else, not by BVP.) I got a call back in the afternoon from Mark. They were all booked up today and tomorrow, and closed for Thanksgiving and the day after. I was resigned to having no hot water in the kitchen for Thanksgiving; but he then said he could have Doug squeeze in a visit early this morning! Doug arrived right at the start of the ""time window"" Mark had given, and set right to fixing the problem. No nonsense, just good plumbing, faucet unclogged. We will use them again. They are reasonably priced for Silicon Valley .... $120 per hour for labor, no ""special charges."" The other place I called charges $155 for the call out and first hour, PLUS a $15 ""transportation fee"" ---- so your first hour with that other company would be $170! NO thanks!

Mark and his team have been my go-to plumber for 19 years. Most recently, I needed a new water heater. George showed up on time and made quick work of it. He pleasantly explained what he was doing and why, which I really appreciated. And everything was aligned just right, soothing my perfectionistic tendencies.

We've had two broken pipes at our house. Each time, Mark has sent out guys quickly to assess and solve the problem. They gave us options that were economical and secure. When you have a plumbing emergency, you need someone dependable who can get their quickly and solve the problem without costing a fortune. This has been our experience.

My first experience with Blossom Valley Plumbing was very positive. However, I used them again for another problem and had a terrible experience. The plumber was distracted with a phone call from another job and therefore could not figure out how to turn off the water to my house. He left and told me to figure it out on my own and then call him back. So, I did figure it out and it was obvious how to turn the water off but the plumber was so distracted and rude that we could not figure it out with him present. I asked that what I paid for that visit be applied to my next visit now that I figured out how to turn off the water - no thanks t the professional plumber - and I got no response. I am completely appalled at how I have been treated and that there has been no remorse on their end for the wasted time on my part not to mention all of the water that has been lost as my leak has persisted.
