The technician did his job but the ""standard"" price of $260 plus a $68 service fee for a little over an hours worth of work is outrageous. Will use an outhouse before I use Blackburn plumbing again!

Called to set up an appointment. Was told they would come Friday and would call beforehand with an approximate time. Friday afternoon I still hadn't heard anything so I called again. The lady I talked to said she was having trouble finding the account and asked if she could investigate and call back. I never heard anything, so had to hire someone else.

Called them to have septic system pumped. They could not find the septic tank after 2 separate visits!

The next day they sent a plumber that was to have a septic line camera and would be able to detect the septic tank. . Two guys spent 4 hours or so looking for the septic tank. Nothing. Additionally they removed a toliet in our home and said they did not have the part to fix it. So they left without replacing the toilet!

My recommendation...contract these guys AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I just built a new house and this company was used. The crew they sent out to work on my house did NOT do their job. To say that the work they did was unsatisfactory is an understatement.

1. When they installed the bathroom drains (I had to buy separate drains to match the faucets), they were not flush with the bottom of the sink. Because of this, whenever you wash your hands/brush your teeth/etc., not all of the water drains out. I went to Lowe's and bought the stuff I needed to fix this myself. I thought this might be the worst of it...boy was I wrong.

2. The day we moved in, my wife turned the A/C on. About an hour later, she noticed our pantry had water in it. I looked in the hot water heater closet and the drain pipe from the attic unit was just HANGING THERE!! The condensation from the unit just drained right into this closet, onto the floor and under the sheetrock into the pantry. We are LUCKY my wife saw it when she did or it would have been MUCH worse. I had to use rope to tie the drain pipe to the side of the hot water heater so that it would drain into the hot water heater's drain pan.

3. The hot water heather drain pan was set up to drain RIGHT INTO THE GARAGE! These guys did not install an exterior drain pipe! Now I have to have another guy come out with a hammer drill to drill through the wall AND brick to the outside of the garage in order for it to properly drain.

4. Just when I thought we were done with plumbing problems...my wife decides to run a load in the dishwasher. After the cycle, NO WATER HAD DRAINED! After about an hour of reading and research (I am no plumber), I found the problem. Whoever installed the dishwasher did not punch out the drain plug before hooking up the drain pipe - a rookie mistake. Any water that was forced through the drain pipe just came right back into the dishwasher.

5. When the ""plumbers"" installed the toilet in the guest bathroom, it looks like they tried to outline the toilet with a permanent market. This would not have been a big deal except for the fact that we did stained concrete floors throughout the house and the floors were basically done. Now, instead of stained concrete, there's permanent marker. Fantastic.

I feel like I should have an ACTUAL plumber come out and inspect all the work that was done so I know what else is wrong.

Whatever you do, do not use this company! They said they fixed the broken water pipe in feb 2014, my brother went to lake house and water was on but no pressure, called Blackburn and talked to the owner and he assured me that they would go out and fix the issue, I called back and Chris the owner said that it was fixed and that he fixed another issue at no cost because of the trouble we had gone thru! They also cashed our 400.00 check! Showed up to lake house yesterday and needless to say there is a new plumber fixing the broken pipe. I called Blackburn and the lady that I had talked to numerous times said she had never talked to me and that we were no longer their customers! Do not use this company!!!!!
