They came out for a sewer scope and did a great job. The tech was finished after about 30 minutes! After he finished, I asked him to peek at my crawl space (because the entrance was blocked during my home inspection). He gladly said okay and was willing to help. I just wanted to know if there was any water down there. He didn't charge me for going down into the crawl space.

Cory and his team at BlackRock Underground are skilled and professional. I live in a 1920s bungalow in NE PDX, and the sewer runs under my front yard to the street. The crew dug a trench when I thought I was going to have a trenchless installation. Corey listened and immediately understood where the communication breakdown had happened. He totally made it right.
It's when the unexpected happens that you can really tell how someone runs their business. It was easy to deal with them and everything was fixed in a jiffy. I'm 1000% satisfied and HIGHLY recommend them! And hooray, no more sewer worries!

I met Cory at our neighborhood. We spoke about the project. He said he could do it. He would order a utility locate and once that was done he would get me on the schedule.
I never heard from him again.
I called, texted and emailed.
Utility locate was never done.
If he didn't want the job...fine. But to leave me hanging and never respond? Unprofessional

I recently had Black Rock replace my sewer line, and can't say enough good things about them. Their bid was competitive, and of the 3 bids that we had, they were the only ones that communicated with me clearly during the initial inspection to work up the bid. The guy that came out said something alone the lines of ""It's your house, definitely ask me a bunch of questions until you feel comfortable with understanding the issue and what we plan on doing to fix it"".

The work was scheduled in a pretty reasonable amount of time(had to wait a month). And the job was done two days after that. Other than a small bump in my yard that should settle during the rainy season, you can barely tell that my yard was filled with 10 feet of dirt from the excavation they had to do to reach our pretty deep line.

I happened to be home when the owner was present for the inspection with the city, and again despite having a busy day was more than willing to answer all of my questions. Going so far as to show me detailed pictures of the work done as well as re-scoping the line with me present.

Black Rock replaced a couple of old sewer pipes that ran under some trees. They were able to ""burst"" the pipes by pulling in new pipe through the old pipes. It saved having to dig up an asphault driveway and saved some beautiful old trees. I would recommend Black Rock to anyone without reservation. Professional, prompt, trustworthy, thorough, friendly, and knowledgeable. Cory, the owner is great and so is his crew.

DO NOT hire these guys! I needed a sewer line replaced and my realtor contacted this company. I scheduled the work to be done on a day when we would be in town. When we returned, I had a voice mail telling me they were at my house (5 days early!) and were about to dig up my raspberries! When we checked, we found the work was done (without digging up the plants - ?), but what a mess! If they had come on the agreed upon date, we would have helped them with access to the back yard. It seems they found it necessary to shear off a 4x4 fence post at the ground, I suppose so they could bend that section of fence back to drive their equipment through. They totally destroyed the integrity of the fence - their tiny blue screws in no way repaired that post and it is now not possible to latch the gate. They also broke many boards out of the back fence panel and made that gate inoperable, also! No mention was made about this damage when they promptly emailed their bill. VERY unprofessional!!! Beware!!!

Cory and his team were super helpful when we failed a sewer inspection on a house we were selling. We called Black Rock in for a secondary opinion and quote to fix the problem. They were more accurate in their locate than the buyers' inspector had been and provided a much more detailed and well thought out bid. I would highly recommend them.

Needed to have a sewer line replaced to close a property I was selling. Cory came out the day I called, gave me a competitive bid, and completed the work the following Wednesday. Super quality work, fast and efficient, and Cory is cool to boot! Great company to work with!
