Black Dog Plumbing was recommended by a neighbor, and from the start, Tyler (the owner) was communicative, punctual, took time to explain things, and affordable. He and Devon worked really well with my contractor, pointed out issues I didn't even know existed and were quick to fix them without additional charges. They stayed within my budget and gave me a lot of peace of mind about the project. I will continue to use them for all of my plumbing needs and can't recommend them highly enough for anyone in need of excellent, knowledgeable, reliable plumbing services. My contractor liked them so much that he plans to use them on future jobs he oversees as well. Thank you again for a job MORE than well done!

Let me just say that start to finish this company is one of the best out there. Starting with placing a phone call to them - Kelly the receptionist was nothing but pleasant courteous and very professional - I say this because I had made a bunch of phone calls to different plumbing companies who nothing but rude and unprofessional on the phone. The owner Tyler and his worker Devin came to my house on a Monday told me exactly what needed to be done which by the way I had a hot water pipe crack under my kitchen floor instead of jackhammering my kitchen floor I had my hot and cold water pipes rerouted through out my house - for such a larger job they completed it in two days! When they came to my house they were very courteous, professional, respectful of my property and all around great guys. I highly recommend Black dog plumbing to anyone for their plumbing needs - also the pricing was great!

These guys were GREAT! They quoted us a fair price, were punctual and easy to communicate with, and took the time to explain what they did and the purposes. They also cleaned up the work area very well, were respectful of my pet in the house, and did small extra things like attach our utility sink to the wall and help fix some outdoor spigots. Highly recommend, great experience and very friendly/helpful.

When we replaced our countertops he came to disconnect the sink lines. He had an apprentice who he let do what should have been fairly simple, but they didn't cap the lines nor did he check the apprentice's work to notice the cold water shut off wasn't closed completely. Needless-to-say, when I got home that evening it was raining in my lower level. Our hardwood kitchen floors were damaged, as was the ceiling below. I called him in a panic and instead of coming over to cap the lines he told me to shut the water off to the house or go to the hardware store to buy caps myself. To add insult to injury he lied to my insurance company and blamed it on the countertop installation company, who never touched the plumbing, so I got stuck with the deductible which should have been his responsibility. Not a reputable business man and a lazy plumber.

These guys repipe our bathroom, replaced outgoing cast iron pipe with PVC, and just converted our oil heating system to natural gas. Every time they have been very clear in explaining their process so we always know what to expect and when. They have also been especially conscientious in their manner with the ongoing COVID pandemic. I'll be relying on them for the foreseeable future.

I did not personally receive service from this company but they were working across the street from my home. The owner of this company (if he was indeed the owner that he claimed to be) is the most unprofessional jerk I have ever come across. He was doing a job in an urban neighborhood where parking is very difficult. He didn't go through the proper channels to obtain parking permits so that he could easily park in front of the property. His vehicles (2-3 HUGE ones) were blocking driveways and crosswalks. That's honestly not a big deal. It was the fact that he cussed me out in front of my 3 year old daughter who actually said to me that he was scaring her and also yelled at my 72 year old mother in law with brain cancer. Mind you, I am also 8 months pregnant. All because I was coming outside to move my car from in front of an inactive driveway that he needed access to. Then he proceeds to tell me that it is indeed an active driveway. I've lived here for 13 years to his one week of working in the neighborhood and not a single car has parked in that driveway and we constantly park there because as I said, parking is hard around here. I was coming out as a favor, I didn't have to move and I still got verbally assaulted by the OWNER! It was bad enough that I found a note on my car that evening from the people who were receiving the service apologizing for this company's behavior and that if I wanted to complain to the rental company that hired them, they would back me up. I find it insane that an owner would behave this way. I hope he was lying.

We are so happy with our experience from start to finish! Tyler is professional, honest, extremely hardworking and efficient. Tyler and Kelly's communication made it very easy to schedule my initial appointment and then appointments going forward to get all my work done that I needed. I love that Tyler came out and look at my problems then gave me an estimate and came back a couple days later to complete the work. In past experiences from other companies I would have been charged for them to come right through our door. We are very happy we found Tyler and will use Black Dog Plumbing for any future issues we may have. Thank you!

We have had Black Dog plumbing out to do work at our house twice. Once for a fairly small faucet replacement (two, actually). On that one they were prompt, efficient, and friendly. When we had a more expensive septic fix that we needed done, I didn't hesitate at all to call them back. And they exceeded my very high expectations. Not only did they fix tat problem, but two other problems while they were at it, and did not charge us for those. I cannot recommend them enough.

These folks are terrific. My basement was flooding due to a sump pump issue. Altho he was at an all day job, he was going to be in the area to pick up a part and said he'd stop by. He also made a suggestion for me to try that worked as a temporary fix. Had they not helped out, my basement would have flooded taking out my boilers, water heaters and washers and dryers. All other plumbers I contacted didn't consider my issue an emergency... Even the guy I've been using for 20 years who is well aware what would have happened. I have found myself a new plumber!
