Water was leaking in our basement; discovered on a Saturday. Called Black Diamond for emergency service. Plumber called, asked about the leak, and said it could probably wait until Monday; that way we wouldn't have to pay the emergency fee. I think I just didn't want to come up. But I let him talk me into waiting. It is now Monday morning and I get a call they can't come after all. I had other jobs for them--disposal and outside rain gutter. They now tell me they don't do underground rain gutters. Why didn't they tell me way back last week!? And they can't do the disposal until later in the week! I cancelled that appointment.

The A/C went down at my son and daughters house in Orem. I am there father and I was out of town. I told them they could call for service or wait until I got home.

They called Black Diamond. I don't know if it was one tech or two. They said that they checked the unit. I had told them to have them check the capacitor. My son said that they put on a capacitor and it didn't work. The techs told them that it would cost more money to fix it than to just replace it.

The following is the estimated charges note that they don't break dow labor and parts.
1. Condenser fan motor $660.00
2. Duel capacitor $ 237.00
3. Contactor 1-2 pole. $231

Total. $1,128.00
New motor cost $98,00 , capacitor is $15.00 and a contactor is $15.00. So $125 in parts. And $1,103.00 in labor.

When I got home I looked at it replaced the duel capacitor and its up and running.

So that leaves me with a few thought
1 the techs did not know how to diagnose properly.
2 There equipment was not working right
3 or they were not interested in fixing the unit and wanted to sell my kids a new one that they did not need

My son said that they hooked up a capacitor and it didn't work. But when I put a new one in it was good to go. It's too bad that they have a Gepheart approval. I feel they are crooked. Break down your labor a parts fee in. Estimate #. Was 63378540.

First they moved my appointment last minute with an obvious bs excuse. Then arrived for rescheduled appointment with no mask. I'm vaccinated but it shows level of care and courtesy.

Then they give me a hard sell and charged me $189 for a cleaning that couldn't have taken 30 minutes. Tech explained he had to drive out to Heber. How come I wasn't charged extra for that for the basic service? Then I was pressured to write a review for them while the tech was still there. Really? No... Sorry... Here's your review done at my convenience and in an honest fair fashion. Although I do understand your insecurity about what kind of review I would write.

Then the tech left with the AC reset to 70° and the fan on permanently. Had to get out my manual to figure out how to turn the fan off.

Let's see... Is there anything more they could have done to deserve a one star? No they touched all those bases. These are exactly the kind of people I would never let in my house again!

Since we have lived in our home I have not done much with maintaining the furnace and ac unit. After my water heater went out I purchased a maintenance plan and I really like how they come check all the utilities to keep my house running smoothly. I like that they call or text before the appointment as a reminder and let me know if there is any changes to the scheduled appointment. I would recommend Black Diamond Experts to anyone.

Black Diamond Electric is the best!
My call was answered promptly. I was able to schedule an appointment for that same afternoon and after determining that I might as well have them install a new air conditioner to replace my 20 year old unit Matt and Victor were out the next morning to get it replaced.
They did a great job at a reasonable price and my house is cool again!

Our air conditioner went out on a Friday night. We called a couple other places Saturday, but they were not able to come out the same day even though their names would indicate that they could. Black Diamond had someone out that afternoon.
Chris was our technician and he was very professional. He wore his booties inside. He had all the supplies we needed in his truck. He got the job done very fast.

I felt they didn't price gouge which was great. It was very reasonable to get our air conditioner up and running!

Excellent, honest work. Brady was professional, informative, and expedient in resolving our issue. He went out of his way to make sure we made the best choice for our situation and reviewed it all with us after the installation was complete. Great response time, knowledgeable and helpful phone staff. We had Nick out to check our radiant heating system and he got to the real problem efficiently and repaired it. It was a faulty job by a different plumber.
Then we had John out to give us an estimate on our HVAC system. He was also great. Very highly recommended for plumbing or HVAC issues!!

We were so impressed with the service that was offered by Chris Pedreaza. He came to our house to help with a hot water pressure issue and found two issues in our system. He came back the following day to fix both issues and had a helper named Brady Case. The professionalism and politeness both showed while in our home was better than any other work we have had done. Chris explained everything he was doing and showed us why we were having issues. We will definitely be asking for his services again!
