Dan has worked extensively on intricate commercial jobs and has managed teams of varying sizes. Dan is renowned for his troubleshooting skills, often being called in by other electricians or their clients to identify issues that others have overlooked.

Disappointed after reading such great reviews. Called to schedule an electrical estimate, was offered 8-10 am or 12-2 pm slot. Booked the 12-2. Asked if I needed to have payment available in case of charges (this was for a business), they said no that I could be billed. Got a voicemail that 12-2 was no longer available so they re-booked me for 8-10am. Tech Chris called before even looking at the issue and said it was be $249 to run a circuit test and tried to sell me on swapping out fixtures to an LED system before he even looked at anything. He asked if payment was available, I said no because I was told payment wasn't needed at this time. He said he'd call the office to see about billing. He called about an hour after arrival to say he looked at 1 of the 3 fixtures and yes indeed it needed replacing (... uh, yeah, that's why I called you...) but that he couldn't do anything else until I paid for the $249 circuit test. What happened to the free estimate? The ""no need for payment we can bill you""? Glad he didn't do any work, I'll find a better electrician, thanks. 2 stars given for the ease of booking the waste of time visit.

I requested a quote on Yelp, and they quickly responded. The plumber, Chris, was incredibly professional and told me the specs of what sink measurements we needed for our under-mount sink we were swapping out. We also wanted him to swap the faucet and old garbage disposal. He quoted us for all of these items, and even recommended where we could go pick out the sink and faucet. He told us that it would be no problem to swap the divided sink out for one large sink tub. The sink was a very specific size, so it took a few weeks to come in. Also, being so specific, it was a small fortune as well. Once the sink arrived, I followed up to schedule the install of the under-mounted sink. I was given a date and assumed we were all good to go.

I received a call today stating that they no longer do under-mounted sink installs and we'd have to go elsewhere. I understand the needs of the business change, but this is SO incredibly unprofessional. I've spent a decent amount of money for a specific sink and was told that this would be ""no problem to install"" by the professional. I'm really disappointed in the last minute switch they pulled. If I was out shopping for vendors, I would be very careful to fully trust that this company will stand by what they originally promised. Very disappointing!

Wasted our time and money. The sales process here was rough. I needed a sprinkler shut-off replaced and called to get ""ballpark pricing"". They wouldn't give it over the phone and had to schedule someone to come ou in a 2 hour block. On the day of him coming out to give a quote it was rescheduled twice, so I had to leave work twice. Once he got here he didn't even have to look at the pipes, it was just a conversation that we could have had on the phone earlier that week. He quoted me $2,280 and said that he wouldn't just replace the sprinkler valve, but would also replace the stop and waste valve just in case.... and that it's this expensive due to a warranty. I just needed my sprinkler valve replaced. This wasted WAY too much of my time for a quote that's 4x what the rest of the valley would charge (because they wouldn't insist on doing extra work that doesn't need to be done).

Mike P. @ Black Diamond was Awesome!! I had issues with my existing newer havoc system and he was able to get it squared away so I didn't have to contact a plumber and a Hvac person-he did all the work. The work ended up being a bit expensive, but I wish I would have contacted Black Diamond sooner because then it would have actually been more affordable by saving the cost/run around from the other companies. What took several weeks for others to try to figure out-he solved in a day. I couldn't be happier and I will contact Black Diamond for all my Hvac and plumbing work in the future.

incredibly deceptive pricing - WOMEN READ THIS!!

I called to make an appointment because my porch light was out. The woman on the phone told me it was a $39 fee to have an electrician come look at it (separate from repairs) which seemed perfectly reasonable.

When the electrician shows up, the first thing out of his mouth was that it's $199 for them to do any type of diagnosing of the problem, and that ""usually covers the repairs too"". I asked why it was 5x higher than it was quoted to me on the phone, and got some unintelligble answer (but the ""$39 would be waived"" -- great?).
At this point I'm frazzled so I let them go ahead, and end up paying $200 for something that took LITERALLY 15 minutes.

As a woman, I always dread these type of appointments because I don't want to be taken advantage of. I figured this would be okay since they have great reviews, but nope - got totally rolled.

I will say that the guys who did the work were nice and professional aside from screwing me financially.

Nothing is more disgusting than a company that is deceptive/dishonest about their pricing. If it's a $200 flat rate, just tell me that up front!!!!

It's a $39 fee for them to come out and quote you what a diagnostic would cost. I'm not sure where to go for an honest electrician/plumber, but this is definitely NOT the place.

Called Black Diamond on Saturday after my air conditioner failed. It was refreshing to talk to an al person that could schedule my service instead of just leaving a message with several other companies.

Tech showed up early, was very courteous, and solved the problem in 30 minutes. He checked my second unit and found a similar pat ready to fail. He placed the parts and checked the rest of the system for problems.

These guys were professional,responsive, and knowledgeable.
