I am not an oil or propane customer with this company. However, They did plumbing work on my house back in spring. Today wake up to water all in my basement. Not sure if it was a bust or a leak. Apparently now you have to be an oil or propane customer to be able to hire them as a plumber. Nice in an emergency the only plumber I have ever hired as I'm a first time homeowner now won't service me. In an emergency...Very strange practice, makes me think their work from the spring failed. Or was done incorrectly. Now they don't want to fix it or own up to it. Very poor business practice. Do not call these folks for plumbing work and call MIRABITO for your Oil or Propane needs.

I had switched to Black Bear on the recommendation of a friend. Their delivery was fine but the service unacceptable. I was charged for a first visit when the furnace was giving me problems and not turning on. They cleaned it and left, and the furnace shut off. They came back the next day (for the same reason as the first call) and I was charged again for another visit (incudes labor and travel time) and the changing of the thermostat which evidently was the problem to begin with. The serviceman was also disrespectful and chauvinistic. After complaining, I was given a small discount on the second visit. Not acceptable and no apology for the behavior of the serviceman.

Have used them for a few years. Kerosene deliveries are fine, not super timely. Quality of kerosene seems good
However do NOT use their plumbing services. I had multiple bad experiences with them and when I challenged the bill, they rudely discontinued all service at my location. Unprofessional to say the least
Also dealing with the folks answering phones is very difficult. Snarky and unpleasant. Using Delaware Valley Oil now and they are super pleasant and competent

Black Bear saved me over $3900 today. I can't thank you guys enough. My gas furnace died on a Sunday (30 degrees outside), I called Desantis heating and cooling (what a crook!) to come out and take a look at it. Without doing any testing, he told us the furnace needed to be replaced and quoted us $3900. We don't have that kind of money floating around and the furnace is only 13 years old. Nothing made sense, so the next day we called Black Bear for a second opinion. They came out and within an hour they replaced a missing fuse and a worn out wire and the furnace works fine now. They also had a brand new packaged CO detector in their truck which was so convenient, so I bought it from them. They saved me a trip to the hardware store.
Thank you for your honesty and saving me a ton of money.

We switched to Black Bear a few years ago when our friends recommended them. I can say that their service is always reliable, professional and friendly. This winter I had to call them several times to service my burner and water pump and they came right away and took care of my problem. I can't recommend them enough!

Black Bear Fuel saved me a ton of money today. I became a full service customer today because they really proved that they have their customer's best interest at heart. I highly recommend them over the many other oil companies out there. They are honest in their pricing and their customer service is top notch.
