B&L Plumbing, a family-run business, was created in 1996 by Larry Wieker and his spouse Elayne. Initially, we operated as a single-person business from the owner’s house.

Thanks to your support, we have been able to contribute to numerous organizations. Among those we support are the Little Britches Rodeo Association, local sports teams, and the PBR Resistol Relief Fund. Being active in local and national causes brings Larry and Elayne much satisfaction.

B&L Plumbing, Inc. proudly served as a strategic plumbing partner for Keller Homes, participating in ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition. We dedicated many hours and materials to complete the plumbing for the Barrett Family Ranch in 2005.

I called 5 different plumbers in my area, but B and L plumbing was the only company to answer the phone. They offered me an appointment next day, came out and fix the problem all in one visit. They also have a military discount.

AVOID! Was quoted $2000 to replace water heater, then after a day with no water they come and remember about the new codes. The quote went up to $4000. That is double, double $2000! How can a company do this with a straight face?!

I wish I had read other reviews, as this seems to be a pattern. You are fortunate to see this and know to avoid them. See the other reviews as well. Not worth the absolute stress!

B&L is a company I will stay far away from, just awful!

If I could leave less than a 1 star rating for this business I would. I wish I had read the yelp reviews before contacting this business! When the plumbers -- if you can even call them plumbers -- arrived at my door, they looked homeless. The bigger of the two gentleman was nice enough, but it looked like he had never washed his shirt. The other gentleman -- clearly the senior of the two -- was completely disheveled, with his work shirt untucked and unbuttoned. They were so unprofessional looking that I considered not letting them into my house, but I thought better of it. BIG MISTAKE. I told them what our issues were -- clogged drains in the upstairs shower and in a basement sink. I asked about traps. I asked about noises. He said the solution was to snake both secondary drains with a 70 foot snake. The cost to snake each drain was going to be $196.35 and it was going to take them about an hour to an hour and a half to get the job done. That seemed like a lot, but if I was getting an hour to an hour and a half of work out of them, I said ok and let them do their thing. So while I did hear them snake the downstairs drain, they did not snake the upstairs drain. Before they left, the main guy took me upstairs and told me all he had to do was take the cover off the drain and take the hair off of it. WHAT? $196.35 to take some hair off the drain cover? While that was not acceptable -- and not what I had agreed to -- I was not comfortable confronting these two inside my house, so I waited until they left and I called the office. While the receptionist was pleasant, she put me on speaker phone so that someone -- likely the guys that had been in our house -- could hear our conversation. I told them my issue -- being charged for a snake when that was not done -- and she said she would call me back in the morning. When they didn't call back, I called them and got the guy that was in our house. He did not want to hear anything that I had to say and spoke over me the entire time I was on the phone. He was more than hostile and completely disrespectful. All he wanted to know is if my drain worked. He is clearly happy charging folks $200 to clean hair off a drain cover. Most dishonest person I have ever dealt with. BEWARE!

I am so grateful for the fast, efficient and friendly service I received today from B & L. I am a first time home owner and have only been in my new place for a few months. The master bath toilet wouldn't flush and then the guest bath toilet wouldn't flush and the next thing I knew there was water pouring out of a fan in the powder bath on the first floor. I called B & L at 11 pm on a Friday night more or less hysterical and Sherry picked up the phone. She was very calm and courteous. She told me the water would probably stop soon given my description of events and to not use any more water on the second floor. She told me she could get someone out the next day and offered to save the spot if I couldn't get someone to come out overnight. I called her first thing in the morning and she set up Jeremy to come out. He was prompt, arriving in the 2 hour window she set, and he called to let me know when he was on his way and would be there. He wore a mask and I had shoe covers for him to wear since the carpet is new but he didn't hesitate to just take off his shoes and was very courteous and polite. He explained everything, was thorough and was very skilled at troubleshooting the issue as it ended up being a kind of complex problem. I was so lucky as a first time home owner with my first plumbing issue to have ended up with Jeremy from B & L. He was honest, cleaned up everything he had to take apart for the repairs, gave some tips on prevention and I felt like the pricing was more than fair. I was very nervous about getting taken advantage of and my experience was fortunately the complete opposite. I felt like Jeremy was trustworthy, kind and genuinely wanted to help. Thank you again for being so amazing in what felt like a desperate situation to me. I will be using B & L for any future plumbing needs and will request Jeremy.

Jeremy visited our home on a Saturday to snake the main line as we had some roots causing issues. He was friendly, efficient, and clean. Thank you so much for your honesty and help!

Prompt and efficient service and friendly on the phone to set up appt. Technician called before arrival and showed up in time window. Diagnosed and fixed problem quickly. Pricing was exorbitant. $339 for 1 hour of work !! (No parts needed to compete the job). Surely there are other plumbing service companies in town that will offer a better value ...

My water heater failed and I called to get a price for replacement. I already had one quote from another company and that person showed me some additional items that needed to be done in addition to the WH replacement.
The person I talked to on the phone at B&L plumbing gave me a price for replacement. But I asked if someone could come out to give me a firm quote since there were other things that would need to be done.
Well, the plumber came out and gave me the quote - and then told me that if I did not choose them, there would be a $69 fee for the visit. This was never mentioned before. True, if I had been told that at the beginning, I may have not have them come out. But as soon as he said that, I decided NOT to use this company even if they had a lower price.
As the plumber was leaving, the truck broke down. He made a comment that he had told them about the truck's condition. If this company cannot keep their trucks in driveable shape to get to the customers, I wonder what other ways they are cutting corners.

My sink plugged up one afternoon not long ago. You can't have that for very long, so I called B&L the next morning. Nick came out that afternoon. He gave me a price which was reasonable, then started to work. Clearing the drain took about an hour and I was very pleased with his work and his friendliness. I'll call B&L for future plumbing work.

My 30-plus-year-old water heater failed on a Friday and, having recently obtained employment following a long stretch of unemployment, I was really ""up against it,"" in terms of having the time to research the pricing, expertise and (perhaps most important) the availability of staff from local plumbing companies to perform a water heater replacement on short notice.

In light of the extremely tight quarters of my 1960s-era water heater closet (not to mention, the fact that current code required the installation of a second vent in the closet door), I quickly discovered the cost of this project was going to be much higher than I'd anticipated, regardless of the company I contracted with. So, after compiling a short list of reputable companies, with plumbers available to get the job done the next day (Saturday), I chose B&L Plumbing, and was not disappointed with my choice.

The plumber (John) did an excellent job, despite the antiquated set-up of the existing water heater and related parts. He arrived within the scheduled 2-hour window and, three hours later, the project was completed, including the installation of the now-required second door vent -- a procedure for which some of the other plumbing companies would have had to sub-contract out for an additional fee.

Thank you again, John, for all your hard work and expertise!
