Total rip off, Stay away!!! They were here for 3 hours and charged $300 per hour. All they did was remove the toilet, rod it, then put a camera in the drain only 4 feet. Just to tell me it would take another $1300 to replace an Elbow, or $4500 to replace the stack since they see rust and possibly a hole in the Elbow... Oh I did get a pen, and a manicure kit and a $10.00 coupon for the work they did do. NEVER AGAIN, and if anyone asks if they should use them I will tell them to run away far away from Bishop Plumbing.

BEWARE BISHOP PLUMBING
They came today to fix a broken pipe. When I called, they told me it was $79.95 to walk in the door but never mentioned a $343.50 ""diagnostic fee."" WTF, doesn't every plumber have to make a diagnosis? (But I was a frantic woman of an age with water gushing, so I acquiesced). He diagnosed a broken pipe (duh?) and fixed it in less than 30 minutes. The charge (including a $40 Yellow Book coupon and a $10 internet discount) was $753.50. Cormac my plumber (who may have previously been a lawyer until he saw that plumbing was more remunerative), was efficient, professional, and blah blah. But buyer beware. Lots of good plumbing companies out there who charge fair prices.

Criminal.

They came over to replace the tank to bowl gasket which is basically a $10 piece of rubber. They then told my wife that they would replace the gasket for $460, or replace the entire toilet for $1,000.

Don't do business with this company.

I was duped by Bishop too. I thought the $79 visit fee included some diagnosis. I have a leak in my bath tub drain - but I did not know where. So Tom the plumber said for $480 he would do a whole diagnostic or the system and pinpoint the problem. This fee was never mentioned in my appointment phone call. In less than an hour, he found 2 compression washers that were leaking under pressure, To fix them, he said he would disassemble the tub drain and replace the washers - for $750 more - likely less than an hour of work! I was appalled - he told me how much it costs to run an office and trucks - etc. I sent him away without the fix he suggested - but I did pay for the diagnostics. I feel there was not full disclosure of their potential fees - it felt like bait and switch, I would never recommend their business - I would tell everyone to stay away!!

I would not recommend this company. Their estimate for a simple kitchen faucet and garbage disposal install and to re-hook the drain pipes was $1600. I was told it should take approximately 4 hours. Both the cost and time quote are way overstated for a journeyman plumber on an install that a handyman could do. The price was for labor only as I had already purchased the faucet and disposal. And the best part is they charge you $79.95 for the estimate call, so if you don't do the repairs you're still on the hook for the $79.95. They called to come earlier from the scheduled appointment time and I'm now thinking that the prior appointment must not have bitten on an outrageous estimate either. I'm wondering if they make their money off of 10 minute $79.95 service calls since if their prices are this ridiculous I can't think they get much plumbing work.

They're good plumbers but VERY expensive. They charge by the job, not by the hour. My guess is that the plumbers they send are on commission. We had a clogged drain in our bathroom. I took the trap off but the clog was much deeper. Bishop came on Monday during normal business hours. He was there for about half an hour and charged $495!!! It's very rare when we call a plumber, and I didn't know what the rates should be. A contractor I know later said it shouldn't have cost more than around $80 or $100.

Good news is that they picked up the phone at midnight and came out by 2 AM (a few others only had voice mails) and that the plumber was polite and did the job well; BAD NEWS WAS THE COST ($315 to come out after hours - after 2 PM - and diagnose that water coming up from a drain in the bathroom floor meant that there was a probable blockage in the pipe and another $891 to rod it) !!! It was 2 AM and I needed the job done to reopen for business in the AM, so I paid it, but there is now way that they earned a new future customer. Bottom line, if money is no object for you, then use Bishop!

Came in on time, very professional, checked the issue and provided quotes to fix the issue. Completed the work on time in a professional clean manner. The work was to inspect and fix (ended replacing) the ejector pump. The serviceman also provided quotes on some other smaller issues which I decided to complete at a later time. Good work overall.

DO NOT USE BISHOP PLUMBING! Not only did they try to charge me an exorbitant amount of money to NOT fix my two plumbing issues, when I called to complain about it, the customer service rep was incredibly rude. When I refused to pay for a $300 diagnosis fee (so they could tell me that my faucet was leaky, which I was able to deduce myself without any plumbing ability), they threatened legal action instead of offering to come out and fix my problems. They are rude, completely incompetent and unbelievably expensive. Would you like to pay more than a $1000 for them to come out and NOT fix your plumbing problem? Yeah, me either.

We had a slow drain that was causing a back up. I called and they came out the next day first thing. they gave upfront pricing and were professional and curtious.
