I used Birk Plumbing for the 1st time yesterday.. I had a complete plumbing disaster and had 2 companies come out. They were absolutely horrible and they left my place worse than it was before they came out. I called Birk and they immediately came out. My technician Chris was a LIFESAVER! I was advised that they would come out by noon and sure enough that happened. Not only did Chris repair the damage, he made sure everything work perfectly before he left.. I will not only keep this company on speed dial but will be recommending Birk to everyone I know.

Plumbing problems always seem to happen at the worst time. Mine happened on a Friday at 3:00pm. I called & they were able to come out right away. He had my ejector pump replaced in about an hour. Great experience from the time I called til the job was finished. Pricing was very reasonable. I finally found an honest plumbing company & will recommend to family & friends.

I have used Birk Plumbing for a couple years now. Each plumber they sent out has been great--they clearly know what they are doing. If it weren't for my next point, I would undoubtedly give them 5 stars.

However, their billing practices are very questionable, and to me, this undermines their credibility. As another reviewer mentioned, they bill you after work is done. When the bill arrives, it is just a summary of the amount due, not a detailed listing of charges. That means there can be surprises hidden in your bill. To Birk's credit, they will provide more detail when asked, but you may not like what you see. Each bill I received has contained some unpleasant surprise. For example, one had a ""trip charge"" that was never previously mentioned, but an identical job did not. In another case, I was quoted $150 for a job, but was billed more than twice that amount. Apparently $150 is the hourly rate per person, and they decided to send two people. In both of these cases, Birk should have been up front with me, but they were not.

If you are looking for quality plumbers, Birk has them. Just beware that they will probably overcharge you. Ask for detailed estimates in writing up front, time the folks that do the work, and be prepared to debate your bill.

On Thursday, December 22, 2016, we noticed that our toilet was leaking. We had turned the house over to a realtor to sell and planned to leave on Christmas Day for our new home in Austin, Texas. We didn't think we'd be able to get a plumber on short notice right before Christmas. I called Birk Plumbing. Per Birk they were swamped but they would try very hard to fit us in. At least there was hope that we could leave on schedule. We were thrilled when they arrived that afternoon. The leak was fixed in short order. The plumber left the bathroom spotless. We are grateful that they were able to fit us into the schedule. Thank you Birk Plumbing.

I do NOT recommend this business. Birk Pluming is an advantage taking, lying business. They do not give you a bill at time of service, the plumber says all friendly ""we'll send you a bill"", when bill arrives it is no where near the amount quoted over the phone. The bill you receive will be double verbal the quote amount. Owner is not interested in negotiating, nor being upfront, nor being truthful, nor kind. Seek your business elsewhere.
