had a leaking pipe called Bio turf and was simply told "" i'm on vacation and really shouldn't be even picking up my phone call the office and see if they can help you""
so I did multiple times and no one ever got back to me so I had a leaking underground pipe and he refused to do anything about it and nobody was around to help for an emergency so I found someone else that was able to come over immediately and help me out so I would never use Bio Turf again and I would never recommend them

I hired Bio Turf to do winter weatherization of my water sprinkler system. The representative I spoke with on the phone when scheduling the appointment explained the process and what specifically would be done. During his description he indicated that a cap would be put on each of the two pipes that stick out of the ground once the backflow device was removed as part of the process. When the technician came and completed the winter weatherization service I asked him about the caps to verify that they were indeed installed. He said no that he wrapped yellow caution tape around the top of each pipe protruding from the ground. I let him know that the representative with whom I had scheduled the appointment told me that caps were a part of this process. The technician said in defense of that representative that the representative probably meant the tape would be installed. I said there is a big difference between yellow caution tape and putting caps on pipes. He said he could come back and install caps but that he didn't have any with him. Of course that would be an additional fee. He then told me I could go to Site One and have them make caps for me and provided me with the specific information to give Site One to ensure that the caps were made properly for the size of pipe.

While I appreciate the technicians professionalism and helpful tips, I am very dissatisfied with the fact that this company misrepresented what they include in the winter weatherization process. Keep in mind they told me all the specifics of this particular service including installing the caps when I called to schedule the appointment. I did not ask about every detail rather they themselves made it a point to offer those specific details to me.

Ironically this same technician came out this past Spring to get my irrigation system up and running. At that time he didn't have some of the needed supplies with him and had to come back. Apparently this company does not ensure that their work vehicles are stocked with all the supplies that may be needed to complete the specific service they are coming to provide. This is particularly surprising since the appointment is made several days in advance so they have ample time to ensure their vehicle is stocked with what may be needed.

Other companies I have hired for various projects bring the supplies that may or may not be needed for the specific service they come to perform. It would be one thing if the needed parts ended up being totally randomly unexpected but that was not the case in my experience with Bio Turf. While I do appreciate the technicians friendly professional demeanor I am unimpressed overall with the misinformation provided by the company representative on the phone and the clear lack of material/supply preparation for the job. There are many lawn and irrigation companies to choose from in the Triangle area. I recommend that others look for an alternative company. I know that I will be for any future lawn and irrigation needs I may have.

Great experience here. Didn't do any install, but have been doing my annual service for a while. Fair price, good communication, polite techs, and work done well.
