I have been trying to get them into my home for initial assessment since last 5 weeks. I called their office multiple times, left voice messages, left query on their webpage and still no response. The came highly recommended from my friends. I finally got hold of them and got initial assessment schedled with Randi. He was suppose to come today, I had cancelled my meetings to facilitate this assessment. Guess what, I receive a Text message at the time of scheduled appointment that Randi can't come. I wonder if it takes this long to schedule an initial assessment, how long will it take them to come an fix anything in future.
The greatest con artist who came to my apartment in thirty years was from Binsky Home/snyder; called because a laundry sink pump was dripping though I'd not done laundry for weeks. He spent an hour doing a dramatic performance that included a ten minute camera conference with his supervisor while they examined my hot water heater, aghast at how unusually it had been piped, that it was connected to a discharge line, was draining into the same line as the sink pump, causing a leak, creating all the damage. He convinced me that I should install shut off valves in the room, to cut and cap the water heater pipe away from a discharge line, and to create another so the hot water heater could drain to an aluminum roasting pan to be placed on the floor: $1,100. If that didn't work, it would be another $2,100 to replace the tank and $965 for a laundry pump. There was little sleep for nights, out of work during a pandemic, panicked about taking a loan to pay for all this; I had friends praying for me. Right before he was to come back to begin the work, I put out a new request on Angie's List. Luis, the owner of FMS Plumbing was at my home ten minutes later. He said you already have shut off valves on top of your water heater and it isn't draining anywhere. It was simple: there had been a clog on the discharge line that was wearing down the motor and together with a leaky faucet had overwhelmed it. He snaked the line to make sure the clog was gone, installed a new pump and faucet: his labor together with cost of the pump and faucet totaled $850. When the Binsky con artist came back and I pointed to the very large shut off valves atop the tank so thoroughly examined, he said he hadn't noticed them. They charged me $50 for this performance. I recorded the whole thing and am reporting this firm to every consumer protection agency I can find.
John D.Replaced a bad heating element on my furnace, which is a couple of screws (not including the one I got) and twisting together two wires. This after a big song and dance. $750! That's about all you need to know.
We had a bad drain clog and after several attempts to fix it ourselves we finally gave up and called Binsky Home. Binsky saiid they would get the next available plumber to us as soon as they could and would keep in touch with us on when we should expect him/her to show up. They called about an hour later and said a man would be here in 30 minutes. Sure enough our doorbell rang right on time. As it turned out the plumber was Bruno--the plumber who did a superb job at installing our water heater back in November. Bruno is a great plumber who is very careful and delIberate in his work and pays great attention even to small details. He is the type of worker who makes you comfortable that he knows what he is doing and that the job will be done right. He fixed our backed up sink in short order. Safe to say, as far as our family is concerned, we will always call Binsky Home when we need a plumber; we'll also ask for Bruno if he is available. You should do the same.
In January we had Binsky replace a failed heating unit in our home. The salesman was at our house the next day with a quote. The price was fair for the near next day install. The installation technicians were friendly and accommodating.
Where the company falls apart completely is accountability and responsibility. That same evening after the installation the unit started making a whistling noise. The noise was reported and the earliest availability was the following week. So they'll take your money fast enough but will install faulty or unreliable equipment. To this day the unit still makes the whistling noise and we have had 3 services, the 1st, it's your ductwork and filters, if that was true why does it take 15-20minutes for the noise to kick in. 2nd, it's your blower, I did not visibly see them swap the blower and cannot confirm, but the noise returned. 3rd, ""it's your settings on the blower, they are too high for your system"", CFM dropped to bare minimum levels. The noise is back now that we need heat.
Oh, did I mention that the AC conveniently wasn't working come summer. The technician, ""it happens"". The Heating installers replaced the R-22 refrigerant for whatever reason in my unit with R410A. Of course you can't test the AC in the winter, so it seems awfully coincidental that the AC stopped working just after the repairs.
Status: new equipment, a whistling noise Binsky will not fix, 11 months of headaches. I would not recommend them as they don't stand by their services.
I called them to get a furnace and boiler estimate due to their great reviews. They also are very pleasant on the phone. I had Amanda come out to explain my heater options. She was an hour and a half late, but company let me know why, and let me know new arrival time. She was very helpful and answered my questions well, and had a technician call and talk to me also when she was at my house, who answered more involved questions. I am impressed by their company, and will decide after a few more estimates, the best company for my replacement of furnace and boiler.
Had a simple kitchen sink clog, they did not resolve it. Told me I needed to cut my sheet rock, replace small section of galvanized drain pipe (maybe I do but not now). Told them I had this issue about 3 years ago and someone had resolved the issue by sending down a snake and bit. Binsky charged me $275 for attempting to clear my kitchen drain. Was still clogged/very slow to drain. Today, I called Roto Rooter, they unclogged the drain within 45 minutes and charged me $200. Very disappointed with Binsky.
Brian J.Dishonest and inconsiderate of others' time. Highly skeptical of previous Yelp reviews, especially since many of reviewers have only 1-2 reviews.
Details: Scheduled appt multiple days in advance for earliest in day 8-8:30am. No show until receiving call at exactly 8:30am letting us know ""they had mixed-up phone numbers and weren't able to confirm day before"". They then let us know they would be coming ""earliest in day between 9-9:30am"". We reluctantly said okay to keep the appt, waited until 9:30am but no-one showed up.
Frank M.Kaitlyn took my initial phone call. Jason followed up and came to my home for an estimate. Going from an 81 year old boiler that was originally run with coal, then converted to oil.....to a new gas boiler was a big job. New gas line was run, massively heavy cast iron boiler filled with asbestos was removed, new boiler and hot water heater installed, chimney was lined with stainless steel, oil tank removed, new smart thermostat installed. Jason gave me a competitive price, as I had gotten 4 other estimates. The price was locked in and I was not asked for one cent more upon completion. Kaitlyn in the office coordinated every step along the way in the most courteous and professional way you could ever want. I was not without heat, as the ONE night I had no boiler, I had space heaters that they provided. The workers, including Dennis, Randy and Shawn were ALL pleasant to have in my home, explained all work as it was done and cleaned up well. Whoever runs this company evidently knows how to hire good people. They ALWAYS showed up the days promised, and on time. I didn't need to get a broom out ever. I honestly am impressed beyond belief. This just doesn't happen. This review may seem like a friend of the company wrote it, but it's an honest review by a random customer. I'm happy to write it. I spent A LOT of money needless to say, but at least I'm happy I did!
Vamsee C.I found out about Binsky yesterday after meeting one of the technicians. I sent an online request for plumber service and received a phone call 15 minutes later to schedule an appointment. The same technician came to my home and fixed my shower within 30 minutes. Very happy with the customer service and the quality of work!
